Do not open the door to strangers

I sat for many hours. On my desk, I continued studying until I got bored, so I put the pen inside the book, closed it, and leaned my back back to relax on the back of the chair. I closed my eyes and thought about my future and what fate had in store for me after several months, and some curiosity overwhelmed me as to what college my fate would be in the end.

I was taken out of all this thought by the sound of knocking at the door. She must have been Sundus, and there was only us left in the house. She woke up and looked at her face after opening the door a small hole to see her beautiful smile and her eyes did not get rid of the drowsiness that covered her.

“Omar, I can’t sleep,” said Sondos, in a voice that could hardly reach me. I looked at my watch to find it one in the morning, and realized that the maid had slept for several hours, and understood that Sondos was afraid to sleep alone in this vast, almost deserted house.

I signaled her to enter, so she came close and put her head on my thigh and started playing with her hair. Sundus started talking, “I was very scared. I had a very bad dream.” Then she continued, “I was in a very dark place, I didn’t know where I was, but I was screaming hard and running in every A place and a voice that threatens me, I did not find anyone with me, Omar, I almost died of terror.” Then her small tears began to creep until I felt them, so I wiped them and patted her little face to reassure her and make her feel safe “Don’t worry Sondos, it is just a dream and it is over, I am with you now, Or are you doubting my ability to protect you?” I said it, raising my eyebrows in an attempt to comfort her and help her forget that bad nightmare. She looked at me and laughed and took me in her small arms and she calmed down to a great extent and forgot her frightening nightmare.

During this affectionate conversation between us, if the doorbell rang, Sondos ran quickly, saying, “My mother has arrived.” I followed her with slow steps before I remember that they told me to return in the morning, so I hurried to her to prevent her from opening the door to a stranger, as my mother recommended, but my attempts were unsuccessful, as she had already opened the door.

I was surprised in a hoarse voice saying, “Peace be upon you.” So there was a huge man, tall, with thick hair, disheveled beard, his clothes were worn out, and his shoes were covered with dust, and next to him was a black entity from head to toe, nothing appeared from him that seemed to be his wife, I was terrified by their sight and Sundus was no less terrified From me, I hid behind my back and clung to my clothes from the intensity of my fear
