Her generation knew nothing about the war that took place on that plain, ten thousand years ago, before the city of vestia was built. This war led to the defeat of the vampires by the weak human race, and they were frozen in the shadows, through the powers of the three scared stones and the first guardian of life. She is Elsa, a scholarship student of Nikki high school. She was chosen by the finite gods to be the guardian of her race and lead them to a new era, but she knew nothing about this great commission but one thing is sure the dark ones knew, and they were after her.

Tonight, it rained cats and dogs. Large droplets of water shifted down forcefully from the dead night sky, humming a strange song similar to the murmur of bees and streets of lightening bolts brightened up the sky at regular intervals. Elsa laid on her bed in the dead dark room with a checker colored blanket firmly over her head. But the blanket could not keep out the cold as she trembled furiously under it.

Then, a strange wind blew into the room. Elsa had a strong instinct, and she recognized it immediately, she had companies. She poked her head from under the blanket, her body trembled in fear, but there was nothing strange about it. Slowly, Elsa sat up on the bed with her legs fully covered by the blanket. Her heart shaped face turned in a 180 degree motion and her gray green eyes scanned through every detail of the room, it was just as she remembered. “ Nothing strange in here,” she said aloud. A sudden evil laugh cracked in the room like the rumble of thunder and Elsa froze.

“ Do you really think so,” the strange voice said. At this point, Elsa was visibly frightened.

“Who are you,” she yelled, her face flushed with fear. But the echoes of her voice were the only answers she received. “I must be hallucinating,” invisible beings only exit in movies,” she thought. But those were mere words of encouragement, deep down she knew she was being watched but who was this unfriendly and invisible watcher and what was it’s mission.

Suddenly, the window before her was blowed open by the raging storm outside, interrupting her thoughts and renewing her fears. Slowly, she unintentionally tiptoed to the window in a soundless manner. As she struggled to get it shut, water splashed on her face and a lightening bolt struck the sky, revealing her tail bone length chestnut brown hair. Cold shivers ran down her spine as she got the window shut and raced back to her bed. Elsa got on the bed and shut her eyes tightly, her fear had made her forget to cover with her blanket.

Eventually, the mechanisms of the night took its course, she was overwhelmed by the power that made humans fall asleep but even in her sleep, her rest was deprived. Her spirit being journeyed to a far away land, a land strange to her. She was in a beautiful grass land and before her stood a magnificent town few meters away. As she watched, she saw the town inhabitants going about their daily business and a group of children dancing happily.

Suddenly the sky grew dark, threatening with rain. A great whirlwind formed at the center of the town and Elsa had to shield her dress to prevent the storm from leaving her naked. For the first time in this vision, it occurred to her that she was putting on a purple gown lined with gold on both sides. As she watched, the whirlwind became a firestorm, and it engulfed the whole town. She heard the women of the town running away from their homes in great despair, leaving them to be engulfed by the strange fire.

Then, she saw a strange figure, she could not see clearly, but she knew what ever it was, it was after her. Elsa broke into a run and the strange figure chased her from behind. Her pursuer flew with the swiftness of an eagle and caught her by her neck. Stream be sweat ran down her flawless face, and she groaned in pain as its sharp claws pierced into her skin, and she shivers at the sight of her own blood. A bolt of lightening struck and Elsa got to see the face of her oppressor, it was a cruelly handsome vampire. Elsa opened her mouth to speak, but only a word came out, “ vampire,” she said almost in a whisper.

“ Yes, you have got it right, and I am here to get you,” the vampire thundered, revealing its sharp pointed teeth.

Slowly, Elsa regained consciousness, away from the horrors of the night. The morning sun rays filtered through the glass window into her small wooden floor room, with a dresser, a reading table and a wall clock beside the bed. Quickly, she got up from the bed and ran down the stairs, towards her mother’s room by the left. When she arrived in the room, her mum was not there, she was already awake. Disappointed, she journeyed through the sparsely furnished sitting room to the kitchen, and she met her mom working on some green vegetables.

“ Good morning mum,” she greeted with a broad smile sitting on her face.

“ Morning darling, how was your night? “

“ Lovely,” ,she said, “ sorry mum, but I couldn’t help lying this time” , she thought.

Mrs. Victoria informed Elsa that she lost her father when she was just a year old and ever since, Elsa has been her only company, apart from Mrs. Smith who always came over. She was a beautiful lady just like Elsa with brown eyes and should length dark hair. Elsa took a brief glance at the wall clock in the kitchen. “Goddammit,” she said under her breath, I’m going to be late for school.
