Five people died in the car accident, but only one of those deaths was deserved, and that was mine.

Today was supposed to be a big day for me because I had been hired by a large firm willing to pay me a lot of money.

I had been looking forward to this day for months and was finally going to reap the rewards of my hard work and dedication until the car accident took it away in an instant.

As my body lies somewhere in the wreckage, surrounded by broken glass and overturned metal, I can only think about how unfair it all is.

I had worked so hard for this job and was so close to achieving my dreams. In the end, I suppose this is what justice looks like.

This incident occurred, and the car in which I was riding crashed and plummeted off a cliff.

I'm not sure how to feel about it, but I'm a little upset and a little cool about it at the same time.

Do I have any regrets?

Yes, a lot.

Is it possible for me to go to heaven?

Nope, I'm a terrible hustler.

I came to a dead standstill on the dreadful asphalt road, along with the other four people involved in the accident with me.

As the paramedics carry our lifeless bodies away, we are all painfully staring at them.

One of them was yelling names, and the other was listing them based on the data we had stored about us in our personal belongings.

All of us were motionless, yet with the intense fear and horror of the situation, we seemed to be doing a thousand things at once in our minds, trying to process what had happened and dreading the unknown that was sure to follow.

It was a moment frozen in time, yet also one of tremendous change.

As our bodies lay there amongst my fellow passengers, I felt so alone and helpless.

"Moncada, Aurelia!" they roared my name.

I felt a wave of sadness as I heard them call my name, however, I felt acknowledged and heard in a way that I had never felt before.

I used to be an averagely passionate person who dreamed of being filthy rich.

And now I'm a confused ghost who's come to deal with the reality that my existence is meaningless.

I suppose time does fly that quickly.

Looking back on my life, it is clear that I have come a long way.

Anyway, we've ended up dying, according to this weird dude next to us who is dressed in a tidy black suit, and are now being processed to figure out where we're heading next.

Nobody can escape death.

Even if you wander to the far reaches of space, death will undoubtedly find you.

You can never be too safe.

It is a sobering thought to consider that, no matter how hard we try, death will ultimately come for us.

We don't know where this strange man will take us, but what I do know is that whatever happens, it will be an adventure.

"Attention, everyone! I have received the report, and it appears that you folks were heading in separate directions," the black suit guy explained as he repositioned his falling glasses.

Our eyes were fixed on him, perplexed by what he had just said.

Was he referring to Heaven and Hell? We were all silent, trying to figure out what he meant by

"Separate directions," he repeated, his voice low and stern.

"Oh? What's up with that intriguing look? Relax, fellas," he says, shaking his head.

"Ah, right, I forgot you guys are unable to speak at the moment."

Yeah, right, Dork.

For the love of God, why did you send this moron here? It would be fairer if I were tossed into hell after scamming hundreds of people.

"Anyway, as I was saying, you guys will be sent to different locations, none of which are known, and that was the boss's decision." He let out a deep sigh.

"It was as if every one of you had a new beginning. Your memories of life in this world will be wiped out." He began cautiously approaching us as if he were dreading this duty.

"It's a difficult task, but one that must be done," he said.

I can't blame him, and if I were him, I would despise this sort of work as well.

What purpose does it serve to take sinful souls who are only concerned with their destination?

He walks up to one of us and starts stroking their heads while chanting something that I have no idea what it means.

"Obscis Infernello Porto," he said.

Until the souls vanish in a split second.

I mean, it was both incredible and terrifying.

So, life has always had this reset button.

Then I guess I'll do it right this time.

And when it comes to my turn, he pauses and locks his gaze on me.

"Finally, you are the last one." I felt a wave of nervousness come over me.

"By the way, thanks for addressing me as a dork," he remarks while shaking his head.

To be sure, he overheard me cursing him. He seemed to have accepted it, though, as he laughed it off and hadn't made me feel guilty for my words In spite of his reaction, I still felt embarrassed.

"Anyway, let's get this over." He was about to place his palm on my head when a dazzling light flashed in front of my eyes, causing me to close them tightly.

My eyes stayed closed, but I could hear a woman's voice. It was a soft, comforting voice that seemed to be enveloping me in a blanket of warmth and serenity.

"Hurry, Azriel," the female voice said. Right here, I believe she was calling this a dork. I felt something brush past my forehead, and a pleasant sensation ran through my body.

"Here, allow me to do it for you." As I stood there, bewildered by the female voice, a rush of emotions ran through me. "Protorgio."

I was immersed in a suffocating, burning sensation that was simultaneously cold.

It was as if my whole body were shattering into millions of bits. I felt as if I was in a dream; nothing seemed real anymore, and my sense of reality was slipping away before my very eyes.

"Wait, Amalie! I haven't erased ---"

That was the last thing I heard before the world went black. before I had a chance to understand what was happening.

The burning sensation has lessened, and I believe I'm floating somewhere, possibly in water.

I felt a sudden force grab hold of me, and I was enveloped in a swirling mass of heat and energy It seemed as though the gravitational pull of some unknown force had whisked me away to an unknown destination.

The energy became too much to bear, and the next thing I knew,

I was thrown into darkness.

I suppose I'll wait until I'm able to open my eyes. Also, my limbs are all numb. Moreover, it is so quiet that I can hear my own thoughts.

As I lay in this unknown abyss, all I could do was wonder where I was and what had happened to me.

As my mind drifts from thought to thought, I can only hope that what I'm experiencing is simply a dream and not the harsh reality of the situation I'm in.

But the strangest of all, everything from those days when I caused so much harm to so many people came flooding back into my consciousness.

I was under the impression that these memories would fade. But why is it still there?

When will I be able to free myself of all the memories that continue to haunt me?

So, the reset button didn't work, and I'm left wondering how unfortunate I am.

I'm still floating, but I'm not sure for how much longer.

I thought that pushing the reset button would take away all of my worries and anxieties, and I could start fresh.

Yet, I'm not sure where I'm going with this.

I have no awareness of anything around me, and it's as if I'm floating in an empty area, moving in a straight line that leads nowhere.

I feel isolated and disconnected from the rest of the world.

My consciousness is waning, but I must maintain it.

I cannot let it fade in this situation.

But I don't feel so well. Despite the exhaustion and disorientation that I am feeling, I need to stay alert in order to survive this situation.

Moments have passed, and I am still here. However, I am terribly dizzy and conscious of how heavy my chest is.

I can't quite make out what is happening around me; my mind is all foggy, and I can barely think straight as I fight to stay awake.

I keep reminding myself that no matter how difficult it might seem, I have to stay focused and remain vigilant if I am to find a way out .

Although I cannot move or see anything, I'm now hearing something.

It sounded as if I were in a tunnel, surrounded by the howls of numerous animals that echoed all over. I could feel the ground vibrating beneath me, as if something were getting closer and closer.

I froze in fear, not knowing what kind of danger might be lurking in the shadows I tried to prepare for whatever might be coming at me, but my mind was too preoccupied and I was struggling to stay conscious.

Suddenly, a ray of light pierced through the darkness and illuminated the tunnel, revealing a path that was leading to an exit.

Wait... is this the place that the Dork guy mentioned earlier?

So that could mean that I am getting close to my destination.

I felt a sense of relief wash over me, and all of my worries melted away as I realized that this could be the path to my freedom.

While thinking, I felt heavy energy that made me drowsy.

Then a dead silence came.
