I looked up at Kale, my alpha and boyfriend.
"Yes?", i smiled at him.
"Aww you're so cute", he cooed and pinched my cheeks.
I swatted his hand away and continued cooking, smiling inwardly. He wrapped his arms around my waist and chuckled.
"Let's go on a vacation", he told me.
"No", i answered him.
"Why?", he asked, pouting.
"You have duties".
"So?".
I turned around to face him and looked up at him.
"So you have to stay and attend to those duties".
"You're no fun", he grumbled.
Kale Reyes is the Alpha of Dark Light Pack, he lost his mate few years ago. I'm one of the best warriors in my pack. I did my best to console him over the years and i got attracted to him. Even better, he got attracted to me too and we started dating.
Few months after we started dating, my wolf told me he's my mate. It's confusing why she didn't tell me earlier and she said she wasn't sure.
Eight months into the relationship and i don't regret it. I don't think I'm his second chance mate or maybe i am and just haven't realized it yet but his wolf has never called me his mate.
Maybe he's scared to say it.
Our wolves do connect and everytime we mate, Lilac would sigh in happiness. I don't care and he doesn't either, we're more than happy and content.
We've both agreed we don't want a child yet.
It just doesn't seem right to us yet.
Kale is a great alpha and I'm not saying this because i love him, I'm saying this because It's true.
The pack love and respect him.
What more could a girl ask for?.
"The beta of the Rising Moon will be here soon, i have to go prepare".
"Then shouldn't Warren be the one to see the beta?".
Warren is our beta.
"He has a direct message from his alpha so he wants to meet me".
"Why can't the alpha come then?".
"You know how the Rising Moon alpha is".
"And their pack", i snorted.
We laughed at this.
"Do you wanna come along?".
"Nah, i have to train and i think you should take Warren with you".
"Yes Luna".
"I'm not the Luna yet".
"The keyword is yet ".
"I'll see you later", he kissed me before disappearing out the door.
After I'm done cooking, i packed the food in plates and placed them in the refrigerator then i went over to my house to get my training gear.
I opened the door to my house and I'm met with Ruby shouting at Raven.
Meanwhile Raven looked bored out of his mind as he kept on changing the channels on TV.
"Are you even listening to me?".
I looked at Raven before sighing.
"Whose heart did he break again?".
"Dominique, my best friend!".
"I didn't break her heart, she knew i wasn't going to end up with her", he defended.
I face palmed myself.
"So you thought having quick sex and dumping her was a good idea?".
"Exactly".
"I'm going to kill you", Ruby yelled.
Raven jumped off the couch and ran to my side.
"Cmon Ruby, are you really going to kill your one and only brother because of your best friend?".
She glared at him and her eyes started to change colors.
"OK she's really mad", he said.
Ruby chased after Raven and soon, they were destroying the whole house.
"Mom!, your kids are destroying the house again".
"Call your father!", she shouted from the room.
You have got to be kidding me.
"Dad!, your ki-".
"Handle it!", he shouted back.
Really parents?.
"OK both of you, stop it".
I got hold of Ruby and pointed to Raven.
"You, come here".
"Ruby, you know how your brother is".
"He sleeps with them and dumps them, we both know he doesn't have enough sense to understand that It's wrong".
"Hey!".
"Just try to console Dominique and leave your idiot of a brother alone cos killing him won't change anything, he's still gonna flirt in his grave".
She looked at me then at Raven.
"Fine!", she huffed then walked out the door.
After she left, i slapped Raven hard on the back of his head.
"Ouch!".
"Are you trying to kill me, woman?".
"How do you caress the alpha with such hands?".
Oh, he did not.
"You're dead".
Now, I'm the one chasing him around the house.
"Iris, don't kill my son", mom yelled from the room for the second time.
Raven ran out the door, not before yelling, "I love you sis".
I collapsed on the sofa and and sigh deeply..
I love Raven but he can be a major pain in the butt.
The fact that he's really handsome and smart didn't help matters as he used it to woo girls. He finished high school early as he's now training to be an epilson , just like dad and i.
Dad's a retired epilson while mom has a shop where she sells flowers, all types of flowers.

Ruby wants to follow on her footsteps.
I went upstairs to my parents room. I opened the door and looked inside.
Screaming, i ran to my room, i never want to see that again.
"Sorry", mom said.
I took my bath and changed into my training gear before leaving.
At the training yard, i started to do some warm ups before the top epsilon came.
"Morning Cat".
"Morning Iris, how's the alpha?".
"All good".
"Heard the beta of Rising Moon is around".
"Yeah".
"Don't think anything is wrong?".
"Not sure".
I feel a particular pair of eyes watching. Not those jealous ones, another pair of eyes. Ones that make you feel cautious. I look around but see no one in particular staring at me.
Top epsilon, Theo came and we began training.
An hour and thirty minutes into the training, someone came to whisper something in Theo's ear.
"Iris, you're needed by the Alpha", he announced.
