"Well... I'm done showering... do you... want me to help you wash?"

Leslie Hill, who was wrapped in a towel, stood in front of the bathroom door and asked cautiously.

Tonight was her wedding night.

From now on, the man wearing a silk blindfold sitting in the wheelchair would be her husband.

This was the first time she met him. He was even more handsome than in the photos.

He had a tall nose, angled eyebrows, and a slender body. He was definitely her type.

Sadly, he was blind and in a wheelchair!

Before she married into the Turner family, she had already heard the rumors about him. They said that Shane Turner was the cursed. When he was eight, his parents died; when he was twelve, his sister died too. After he grew up, he got engaged twice, and both his fiancées died as well.

When Leslie heard these rumors, she was scared too.

But her uncle said that if she married this guy, the Turner family would pay for her grandma's medical expenses .

Grandma was the person who loved her most in this world. She would never let her die and would do anything to save her life, including marrying this man in front of her.

Shane did not respond. Leslie thought that maybe he didn't hear her, so she asked again.

When Leslie finished, Shane slowly untied the ribbon covering his eyes, revealing a pair of cold and arrogant eyes. He looked straight at her and asked, "Do you know who you are going to marry?"

The moment their eyes met, Leslie shrank unconsciously.

Wasn't he unable to see? How come his eyes were so striking?

She felt strange and scared at the same time. On second thought, he would be her husband anyway and today was their first meeting, if she made a big fuss, she would leave a bad impression.

Suppressing her fear, she stepped forward and answered with a forced smile.

"Yes, I do."

The man frowned slightly. His chin raised in a noble and proud way, he said in a low voice, "Aren't you afraid of death?"

Leslie's heart was racing. "No." Then she added firmly, "You saved my grandma's life, so I have to repay you and be your wife. I'll have children with you and take care of you as I have promised."

The woman's pretty face was serious and determined.

Shane looked at her in silence for a while.

Then he smiled and said mockingly, "In that case, help me take a bath first."

Leslie replied without hesitation, "Of course."

The moment when she promised Shane's grandfather to marry Shane, she had decided to accept her fate and would not regret.

Now that they'd even gotten their marriage certificate, her status as his wife was perfectly justified.

Since her husband was suffering from disabilities, as his wife, helping him taking a bath couldn't be more natural.

"Wait a second. Let me turn on the hot water first."

She turned around and wrapped herself in a bath towel and went back into the bathroom.

Shane looked at the woman's back, frowning. He was puzzled by her reaction.

A country girl from the mountains was willing to marry him, a notoriously jinxed man, only for the medical expenses of her grandmother.

His last two fiancees were both from prominent families of City B.

And yet they both got killed right before the wedding!

How could a simple-minded girl like Leslie with no background live to this day safe and sound?

Maybe because she had no family ties, she was not considered a threat.

Or it could be that she had been pretending to be simple the whole time!

While Shane was thinking, the bathroom door opened again.

He looked up, and in a moment he was dazzled by what he saw.

The bathroom was foggy. Amid the mist, Leslie's sexy and curvy figure could be seen. Her long black hair was wet, with a few falling on her charming collarbone.

Leslie found the bath towel was all wet and sticking tightly to her body, which made her a bit uncomfortable.

"Let me change my clothes first."

She knelt down and dragged her suitcase out of the bed. Shane was facing her on the other side. From his angle, he could see her cleavage clearly...
