Introduction
Audra wakes up just before the zombie apocalypse starts—again. Last time, she lost her parents, was betrayed by her fiancé and best friend, and died surrounded by zombies. But now? She’s back, and she’s got a score to settle. Enter Lucian, the most powerful (and most cold-hearted) ability user in the apocalypse. He hates people getting close—especially women. But Audra has a plan: stick close to Lucian, prove her worth, and maybe spark a little something along the way. Every time he tries to ditch her, she flashes a look and offers a rare supply, making herself indispensable. As they face down zombies and dark secrets of the past, sparks fly, and it becomes clear: they might just be each other’s last chance at survival... and love.

As soon as she opened her eyes, Audra's vision was shrouded in darkness. Before she could fully wake up, she suddenly heard a discussion.

"Tsk tsk tsk, this woman is really beautiful. It's a pity that she provoked the wrong person."

"Anyway, we can take some photos, how about that..."

The two men laughed lewdly and disgustingly.

Audra came to her senses and her pupils suddenly shrank.

That voice!

Wasn't it the person who had her leg injured three years ago when Fiona had her caught in an alley?

How could he be here?

No, something was wrong. This was not the base, nor was it the battlefield!

She took a deep breath and looked at the familiar surroundings and the two men and a woman standing not faraway, feeling as if she had traveled through time.

What was going on?

She had just been fighting zombies and had already died in the pile Zombies.

How could she return to this nightmare three years ago?

Could it be that she was reborn?

There was still almost half a month before the end of the world began!

Not only did she not die, but she also had the opportunity to change her fate?!

As she was overjoyed, a tearing pain suddenly came from her right leg.

Audra looked at her bleeding right leg. It seemed that her timing of rebirth was not good, as her leg was already injured.

Really!

"Hey, you two. Don't think about doing anything funny. Just take a few photos and leave. If we're caught, we would be screwed."

A woman leaned against the wall and warned the two men before walking over.

She stood in front of Audra, looking down at the person sitting on the ground with injuries all over her body. "I never thought that our school's proud beauty would also have a day where she could be at someone's mercy."

Audra lifted her head and suddenly remembered her identity. The woman in front of her was Paige Morgan, one of the pursuers of her fiance-to-be and a friend of her bestfriend Fiona.

They locked eyes and Paige realized that she had woken up.

"Oh, you're awake? It seems like I didn't hit you hard enough earlier. You, a poor nobody, have no courage to pursue Troy except for your good looks. Do you even have the qualifications to be engaged to him?" Paige sneered.

Audra's eyes turned dark.

"Why are you staring at me like that? It won't change anything. You're not good enough for Troy!" Paige kicked her disdainfully. "If it weren't for you clinging onto Uncle Caldwell, Troy would have broken up with you long ago! How dare you think you can get engaged to him? You're overestimating yourself!"

She crouched down and smirked. "I don't know where you got the confidence to show off at school. I've never liked you. Today, I'll teach you a lesson and let you know what you should and shouldn't touch!"

She raised her hand to slap Audra, but her wrist was firmly caught.

Audra, who had been quiet all this time, now had eyes like sharps words and exuded a terrifying aura.

Paige's heart skipped a beat, and she was momentarily scared by the dark look in Audra's eyes.

When did this woman become so frightening?

"You're really pitiful, liking someone like Troy," Audra suddenly spoke.

Paige pulled her hand back. "What do you mean by pitiful? Don't you like Troy too? You're crazier than me! Who are you to say that about me?"

Audra snorted. "Like him? Who would like that garbage?"

Paige looked at the blood flowing down from her head and laughed, "Garbage? You actually called Troy garbage? Audra, are you stupid?"

Wasn't it Audra who used to chase after Troy with excitement?

"It seems like you don't know yet," she sneered, not hiding her disdain, "Troy's true love is not me, but Fiona!"

"What?" Paige was stunned, "How is that p0ssible? How could Troy like Fiona? And it's clearly Fiona.."

She briefly fell into confusion, but quickly regained her composure and sneered, "Troy couldn't possibly like Fiona. You're definitely lying to me. You're just trying to sow discord between me and Troy, you bitch!"

She slapped Audra.

"Snap!" Audra quickly slapped her back, and Paige's face turned red instantly.

"How dare you hit me?" She couldn't believe it and slapped Audra again in anger.

Audra acted quickly and pressed her hand down before slapping her back.

"Smack!"

The other two were stunned.

Was this the same little lamb who had cried and begged them to spare her just now?

"Believe it or not, it's up to you. I'm just stating the facts. But if you dare to hit me, I'll naturally return it twice as hard." Audra couldn't be bothered to waste words. After all, both Paige and Fiona were her enemies.

Three years ago, it was because Paige had someone beat her up that she was left with an irreversible old injury in her leg, which made her unable to protect herself when the Zombie outbreak occurred. Even running away was difficult, and she eventually died under the siege of the zombies.

And all of this was planned by her former "best friend" Fiona.

In her previous life, she only found out the truth after the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse and was too busy surviving to seek revenge. But now that she's been given a second chance, she won't let them get away again.

Thinking of this, her face darkened completely.

If it weren't for her leg hurting so badly right now, Paige would be in more trouble than just a few slaps.

"Let go of me!" She still held onto Audra's hand.

Audra sneered at her words.

"Impossible."

As she prepared to slap her again, Paige panicked and shouted, "You two! Are you just going to stand there and watch? Come help me!"

Two men nearby immediately rushed over, throwing punches at her.

All of them were full of flaws.

Audra stood up and took a step back, punching one of the men in the stomach.

"Hiss." The man was surprised. "Just now, you were soft and weak. You didn't even fight back. Now, how come you suddenly have so much strength? But with this little strength, are you just tickling me?"

Audra frowned.

Tickling?

Well, three years ago, she was just an ordinary student, weak and frail, and had never exercised.

This punch really didn't have much power.

It might work against a woman, but not a man.

But she didn't hesitate.

"Bang!"

Before the man could react, Audra kicked him hard.

"So fast!" The other person was stunned.

This woman was not the easy-to-bully little white rabbit she seemed to be!

Another punch came at her.

Audra raised her hand to block it,but when she tried to step back, the pain in her leg made her face turn pale.

Time was of the essence, her legs wouldn't hold up for much longer!

After three years of struggling in the apocalypse, she had honed her skills without any special abilities. Even if she lacked strength, she could still escape with some tricks up her sleeve.

She quickened her pace, fighting off the man while running towards the exit of the alley way. Once she made it to the street, they wouldn't be able to catch her!

The three men chased after her in shock and disbelief.

How was this possible? Three against one, yet she was still managing to Outrun them!

What was going on with Audra?

How did she suddenly become so strong? Wasn't she untrained? And how could she run so fast even with her injured legs?

"Knock her out!" PAIGE suddenly felt a twinge of fear and gave the order in a panic.

One of them swung a punch, but Audra dodged it.

"Hiss." A sharp pain shot through her leg, causing Audra to stumble and fall to the ground.

This was bad!

As she lifted her head, Audra saw a baseball bat coming straight at her head.
