I woke up to the sound of my alarm,I turned off the clock and stretched my body then I got up and went into the bathroom to carry out my morning routine.
Afterwards I joined my parents on the dining for breakfast
"Good morning mum good morning Dad"I said pecking my parents one after the other before taking my seat .
"Yeah morning how was your night"they replied in chorus
"It was great,am resuming work today"I said
"Wow congratulations you've always wanted to do this job so badly"mum said
"Thanks mum"
"Now am convinced of your intelligence and experience, you know it's really had to graduate from college and immediately get employed especially in a place like SKY specialist"dad said
"With my qualifications dad no hospital can say no me"
"Okay enough of the conversation just get own with your meal before it gets cold"Mom said
"Why does it sound to me like you are jealous of someone"I asked with a teasing smile
"Yeah I feel it too...huh "dad let out a dramatic gasp "don't tell me you are jealous of your own daughter"
"Am not really in the mood to joke with both of you so I will be in the kitchen"mum stood up and carried her food murmuring to herself as she walked to the kitchen
Dad and I busted into laughter,we laughed for a while before dad stood
"I think I should go and use my sweet tongue on her else this night would be a sore night for me"he gave me a wink before walking to the kitchen too
Me and my parents are extremely close we play all the time like we are mates but I still know my boundaries
I haven't ever heard my parents quarrel like does serious quarrels couples have.they only quarrel about minor things like food, books and other irrelevant things .I will just call it arguments
I admire their relationship but am not interested in getting into one myself
After my meal I cleared the table and took the dishes to the sink mum and dad had already gone upstairs since today is weekend their is no work for them
I did the dishes and arranged them on their respective stall before going upstairs to my room.as I laid on my bed I took my phone and dialed my friend's line,I have just one friend Maya
"Sup beautiful"her cheerful voice beemed
"Am fine,am actually resuming work tomorrow.i got a call from them yesterday"
"Say what!?"she screamed, I had to use my hands to cover my ear before she blocks it
"My friend is really gonna work in SKY specialist !? we need to celebrate am coming over"she said enthusiastically
"No..no..no don't please"she didn't let me finish my sentence before cutting the call
"Gosh I shouldn't have called her"I lamented to myself

Wow the city is still the same as I left it some years back I thought looking around for my excorts I was about taking my phone to call Dad when I saw someone carrying a board with my name on it so I strolled over
"Really? cannon do you have to carry a board before you can identify me?"cannon had been working for my family for a very long time now he is one the most trust worthy bodyguards
"Am sorry young master I had to carry it in incase you locate me first which you did"he collected my luggage and was leading me to the car
"Yeah right since you are getting too old now you can't see well"I said teasingly ,he has been with me since I was a child so we are very close and we talk with each other freely
"My daughter mentioned that too"he said making me chuckled,we got to the car where I found other two cars with bodyguards inside
"Come on cannon I thought I said I need just you to come get me"I said with a frown on my face
"You know how Mr Russell is,he wouldn't agree to such"he opened the car door and I entered then he entered the front seat too before the car drove off
This is one of the reasons I had refuse to return even after my studies and continued working there ,my family is a well known family in Australia and there is no single soul who doesn't know us
We own the biggest hospital in Australia, which my dad build because of me we also own two other companies and a shopping mall
I got down from the car and looked around our compound nothing much has changed
Walking towards the house mom ran out jumping on me even before I could get close
"You sure miss your sweetheart"I said chuckling as I hugged her back
"I missed you so much it has been six years Sky"my mom said still hugging me
"I know Mom I missed you too"
"Are you going to hold him all day?huh I want to hug my son too"dad who just walked to us said
Mom chuckled and let go off me allowing dad to hug me after which we all walked into our mansion
I was sitting in the sitting room with my parents,I had taken my shower ate my food and rested so it was already evening and we were having a family talk
"So Sky when do you plan on resuming work"dad questioned
"I am still a little tired so I will resume on Wednesday"I said
"Are you still bringing up excuses because you don't want to work here?"mom said giving me questioning gaze
"I built this hospital in the first place because of your passion for doctoring, so that you wouldn't have to work under any body"dad said
"But dad the hospital is doing well without me why do I need to interfere now"
"It has been under the care of a total stranger and I want you to control it now, I mean you are a well known surgeon in the United States"dad said
"Okay dad but you have to promise me one thing first"
"And what's that"
"Promise me you wouldn't have a pack of guards following me around"
"Okay I promise but cannon will follow you "dad said
"Not even cannon"I said
"Sky your father has brought it down to the last stage we can't leave you on your own remember who you are"mom said
"Fine okay I am going upstairs"I stood up and started towards the stairs
"Are you saying that you agree"Mom said after me
"Yeah you both win "I shouted back i heard both of them high five and chuckled to themselves I just shock my head
