Kara smiled down at her phone, she had been texting him for a few days now even though she knew it was wrong. Kara just couldn't help herself even though she had a seemingly perfect life. She had a beautiful family and a loving husband, but she just found herself wanting some excitement. So that's how she ended up in Jace’s inbox. Jace the ex who had gotten away, the one who no matter how hard she tried he always crept back into the edges of her memory. 

    Their messages were innocent at first, just simple talk of the past and how things are now. After a few days of easy conversation, Jace tells Kara he remembers being with her, how amazing it was, and he swears he can still taste her on his tongue some nights when he thinks about her. 

      He asks her if she remembers any of the intimate moments they shared, Kara looks up from her phone face heated and all the thoughts of him come rushing through her memory like it's in fast forward. Even though she knows it's wrong she responds : of course i remember, a lot more than i really care to admit to but those memories are forever burned into my memory.

    They flirt back and forth for a couple of days before Jace finally asks Kara to find a way to meet him. Kara tells him she is nervous about meeting him because she doesn't want her husband to find out. She starts to worry about what could happen if her little secret was found out. The very next day Kara stops responding to Jace in fear she will get caught.

    A couple of weeks go by and Kara decides to do something she never does and goes out to the bar with a few friends. She is having such a great time being a little out of her comfort zone that she doesn't notice Jace walking into the bar. By the time she notices him, he's already standing in front of her. Panicking, she looks around for her friends to help her, but they all are gone. Now she is all alone with Jace in a crowded room full of people.

    I think your ride is gone, how about you come home with me? Jace leans in and whispers in her ear over the thumping base of the song playing. Kara knew it was wrong, knew she should find a way home but how could she say no to him? She leaned in as she felt his hot breath tickle her neck she whispered back in his ear let's go. Kara grabs her purse and coat and heads out with Jace to his truck to leave
