Leo
I was almost done with my shift at the bar. Rob and I were the only ones on shift this being the less busy day. The last customer had left. Rob snickered seeing the guy walk into a pole. I laughed fallowing Rob's line of sight.I looked a second too long and started feeling a little anxious when I saw girl with red hair walk by the bar. My heart skipped a beat my mind showing me blurred flashbacks and I knew I was about have another panic attack. I knew I had to get out of here before it hit me. I told Rob to deal with the rest, promising him to cover for him next time and ran out. Only after I made sure I was far enough from the bar did I let go of the thinnest thread of control I had left over my mind. It engulfed me completely. My wolf whimpered. I sank to the ground. I started panting. My eyes flowing with tears. My mind flooding with the familiar scenes.
It was getting unbearable when I heard footsteps approaching me. I panicked even more. My wolf growled in warning.
"Hey bud! It's ok. It's just me, Trevor.."
"Tre..Trev?" I managed to ask.
"Yep. Thats me." He said. "Mind if I sit with you?"
My wolf calmed down little when he recognised Trevor.
"Can..you hold..me?" I whispered. And next second he pulled me in his arms. I was sitting in his lap facing him. My eyes closed. He wrapped his arms around me. Assuring me everything was okay. After a couple of moments noticing I wasn't getting any better. He took one of my hands and held it on his heart. His other hand now rubbing my back. I snaked my free arm around his neck leaning in on him. I put my chin on his shoulder. My tears wetting his shirt.
"Leo, can you feel my heart bud?"
I barely managed to nod my head.
"Good. You know I'm always here for you, right?"
I nodded once.
"Can you do the breathing grandma taught you? I'll do it with you okay?" He said with a voice so soft. As if afraid to scare me.
I nodded again.
"Good. Breathe with me. Breathe in" "Breathe out"
"Breathe in" "Breathe out" we did this for what felt like an eternity, but I finally calmed down.
I felt the tension leave Trevor's body along with my panic.
I slumped on him. Completely exhausted. My eyes now hooding. I let the exhaustion take over as sleep engulfed me. I knew Trevor will protect me.
