Introduction
"Dad are you crazy? Are you seriously asking me to marry a stranger?" I laughed not buying the serious expression on his face. "He's not that much of a stranger. His Dad and I are good friends." Dad replied. "Dad, is this really necessary? I mean marriage is a huge deal, shouldn't it be between two persons who love each other?" "Alli, I know. And I shouldn't even be asking you this but it’s a huge opportunity." Dad sighed. "I know what I'm asking is a big deal and I should allow you to find your own happiness but it would be nice and really beneficial or a merge." "Dad, I don't know. This is like huge.” I was hesitant. "I'm sorry dear I shouldn't be asking you such things. Forget about, I'll figure this out without getting you involved." Dad replied shaking his head. Looking at my Dad's defeated feature, I just couldn't bear to let him be this disappointed. "You wanted to see me Dad?" Christopher asked as he entered his dad's office. His father was seated behind the big mahogany table.

"Yes, have a seat. We need to discuss something important." Mr. Lee nodded and gestured towards a seat.

"I knew this wasn't a social call." Christopher chuckled as he made himself comfortable on the couch. "So what's this about?"

"You know how we've been thinking of ways to expand our company and make it more successful?" His dad began, interlocking his fingers under his chin and resting his elbows on his desk.

"Oh yeah, we were supposed to discuss that months ago." Chris replied sheepishly. "Sorry I haven't had the time to come back to discuss it before, it slipped me."

"Well, I sort of figured that out." Mr. Lee said as he sat up straighter in his chair. "We'll be doing a merger with Diamonds Technology Limited."

"Oh, with your buddy Stanford Diamond from Chicago?" Chris raised a brow at his father.

"Yeah. Stan and I were at that business event I attended last weekend. He was also thinking of expanding his business and possible having more branches here in New York. So we both came up with the idea for the merger." Mr. Lee informed.

"Well from what I've heard, he's a great business man. And if you're okay with it, then I trust your judgment. I think that'd be a great opportunity for both companies." Chris replied.

"Good, because that's where you come in." Mr. Lee leaned back in his chair, fingers still interlocked as he watches his son.

"Me? What do you mean?" Chris asked looking at his father with a confused expression.

"Well as you know in a month I'll be giving up the CEO position to you. It’s time for me to sit back and allow you to lead. And in order to ensure fairness in case anything goes wrong with this merger, we think it'd be wise if you got married." Mr. Lee told his son and awaits his outburst.

"What!? You must be joking, who am I going to married? I'm not even dating anyone seriously." Chris chuckled not realizing his father was being serious.

"See that's the good thing. You're not dating anyone and in order for this merger to go on, it would be best if both parties merged as a family first."

"What!?" Chris yelled standing up now. “What are you talking about?”

"Yes son," Mr. Lee nodded, "You're going to marry Stan's daughter, Allison. That way, the merger of the companies would be between families. It would be more successful and it would protect both parties in case of a loss."

"You're kidding! Tell me you're kidding me Dad." Chris replied his voice laced with anger. "You want me to just throw my life away and married someone I don't even know!?"

"Well son about that, we'll be flying to Chicago in a few days so you'll meet her and further discuss the merger with Stan." Mr. Lee replied.

"Dad, you're dictating my life! And you can't do that. I'm an adult, I'm not a child anymore. You can't just tell me to do something like this and expect me to just go ahead with it." Chris fumed. “That is insane! I don't want to get married. And even more, if I was to get married, I'd rather to choose my own bride, not some unknown daughter of your friend."

"It’s up to you Chris. I'll suggest it to you but I won't force you. I'm sure you already know that an opportunity like this could be huge for our company. As future CEO, you'll be the one to make future decisions that'll work in the favour of our company." Mr. Lee said retrieving a folder from his desk drawer and pushing it forward on his desk. "You should probably take a look at this though".

"What's this?" Chris asked picking up the folder.

"Something I'm definitely sure will interest you." Mr. Lee replied. "That was all. You view that, then think about your decisions and get back to me."

"This is ridiculous." Chris fumed as he left his father's office with the folder in hand.

Mr. Lee smirked as his son left his office. There was no way Christopher would turn down this deal after viewing that folder. That folder contained an estimate of how much more profits they'd make if they do form that merger. They'd be making more than a billion each year if they merged two of the biggest technology companies.
