At thirty, Hendrix Kyle White is the captain of the Red Wings Basketball team in Douala. The best, he is 6'3m, has straight athletic legs and dark hair that cut across his nape. As he dashed around the basketball court playing energetically, he loved every bit of the sport.
He started playing ever since his junior school days and had now made a hustle out of it.
Hendrix is the C.E.O of a wine company, and out of work, he is that crazy basketballer that drives all the girls crazy.
"The ball, Hendrix," Miles called out as he threw the ball at him.
Today is Saturday and a sports day to Hendrix. His coach was training them for the national basketball game

coming up in a month, and he needs to be ready for it. As the group leader, Hendrix was highly respected if not for his position, then for the one, he holds in the society.
Grabbing the ball, he lodged forth to the basket, and skipped, throwing the ball at his target, it hit the basket, penetrating till the other end, and that was when the game came to an end with the victory on his team. The scores were at Twenty for the losing team and twenty-four for the Red wings.
A group of spectators who had passively been watching them play jumped up with excitement.
As Hendrix was still on the court, he heard his coach approach him giving him an announcement.
"Mr. Hendrix, there is a Lady here to see you," Coach Max said.
At forty, he is an ex-player of the Country's national Basketball team, he led them in victory, and now was training his group for the NBG games.
"A lady? I don't think I will want to see anyone now, I am damn sweaty, and needs a bath. A good one for that matter," Hendrix said.
Hendrix is always rude, and he knows about that, but his sweet tongue of his is always making him have the ladies he wants in life. He is always termed as the "Love them, leave them, player" willing to toy with the ladies as if there were a trophy for him to get, and after he gets his way, he abandons them.
The young man had emerald eyes, long lashes that flustered every time he blinked, and most essentially, that physique that can make every lady grow weak. Each time he played, he ended up having thousand ladies crawling to his feet begging to talk to him, or more, for his attention. He was Player 22, the best, and the captain.
"You need to see this lady," Coach Max muttered as he glared at his group leader.
For a moment, a slight frown creased through Hendrix's face.
"Why?" he asked ruffling his hair.
He was still in his oversized sportswear, and perspiration dripped from his forehead.
Maxwell was about to say something, but he held his breath, not wanting to spoil the fun.
"Because the lady has something that might interest you, go along now, Mr. Player," Coach Maxwell spat out with a pinch of sarcasm at the tip of his tongue.
"Fine, where is she? I will check on her. What she has for my needs to be very important, if not, you will give to pay for it, coach," Hendrix spat out.
The coach giggled out loud before he stopped, catching his breath, he decided to respond to the man's question.
"She is at the gate, outside of the court," Coach Maxwell directed him as he walked away, focusing his attention on the other teams.
Hurrying to the front gates, the young man came out and his eyes caught a glimpse of a beautiful hazel hair lady, walking up and down, as she tried balancing her breathe in her chest.
"Hey, Ms!" Hendrix called out drawing the lady's attention.
Ava Julie Andrews stopped pacing the road. She had been planning her manner of approach on how to address this man, she barely knew anything about this man, only his name__ Hendrix.
Hearing a hoarse baritone calling her attention, she paused and lifted her head to glare at the man. Ava's eyes glistened with shock as she stared at the most handsome man that she has ever seen in her entire life.
She left her home in Buea and flew all the way to Douala which was an eight hours journey.
"Good day, Sir," Ava called out.
Hendrix was shocked to see this lady, she was pretty, had a clean round nose, plump lips that were seductive.
"Are you by any chance the lady who wants to see me? here am I, what is the query?" Hendrix asked.
Ava was muted to the sound of the man's voice and brushing the whole deal aside, she focused on talking to him.
"Yes, Sir, my name is Ava Julie Andrews, and I am here with my niece to see you," Ava spat out.
She was still dancing around her words, thus, the man asked, "Is she a great fan of me? I can sign an autograph later, by the way, I am still busy inside," Hendrix said.
He was about to leave when Ava drew his attention towards hers.
"I thought the match is finished? by the way she is here to see her father and not her idol," Ava broke the news.
Hendrix stopped not believing what she just heard.
"Her father? which father?" Hendrix inquired as he was confused.
At that moment, a little voice called out and he swirled around to check.
"Aunty Ava, I've got the ice cream, the man added chocolate chips on it," a little girl said as she walked past Hendrix's side to her aunty's side.
Staring at the little girl, Hendrix's mouth dropped open. The child was a replica of himself.
The little short curls on her head that were plaited, her green eyes, and dimples that showed at the center of her cheeks when she laughed were just the same as his own.
"What kind of a joke is this?" Hendrix asked.
"Here is, Sophie Andrews, your daughter," Ava spat out.
