Werewolf

Introduction
Moving away from London to America,Amanda had actually thought that was a chance for her to have a normal life. To finally be somewhere where people do not know who she was or her family history. Where she would be treated equally with everyone instead of getting special treatments because she came from the Almighty Laurelton Lineage. Little did she know that she would encounter things that would make her out of the ordinary. Way far from being normal. That fateful day she found out other creatures existed changed her life. She wouldn't say for the worst but it was for the better.

  .

They moved into the big house in hillside ville. She was disappointed to see that this house was also big as the one they had left back in London.

"Come on,smile. This is supposed to be something you like" her mom said and held her shoulder in a loving way

"I thought we wanted a change of things. The house looks identical to the one back home" she said

"It's normal. I like it" Sinclair said

He would go with anything his mom said

The car pulled up in front of the house. They all came down and their mom took off her sunshade as they stared at the house and it's surroundings. That big gate and tall fence is what she hated. The fences are framed iron and not built with blocks

much better

. There was a round fountain behind them with a lady holding a water jar. The house was big, with extensions at each sides. Same left and right wing they had back in London.

"Did you and dad choose this?" She asked her mother

"No,I chose it and he just approved. Even though he didn't approve,I would still buy the property" her mother said

Typical of her mom to make every decision around.

"The bags are in" A young lady said

She had long wavy red hair that stopped at her waist and she looked nice with that sweet smile placed on her lips.

"Thank you Melody. Won't you meet the kids?" Their mom asked her

"My bad,I forgot. This has to be Sinclair" she said and pointed at him

"Yes" he said and shook her hands

"And you're Amanda" She said and shook the girl's hand

  "Yes" the girl said

"I'm the maid here" she said

Their employed a maid?? That was pissing. Amanda and Sinclair had told her they would be able to take care of themselves.

"Now,you two should behave yourselves. This is a new start for all of us" their mom said and held them to either sides of her arm. Amanda rolled my eyes while Sinclair freed himself from her grasp. Their mom loved her three kids more than anything. Yes,three kids. The oldest brother "Ian" was with their father in London. They were both professional fencers, their dad was more of a coach. They were barely around but when they were, they had a lot of fun.

"Let's get to see the house first before you squeeze the air out of us" Amanda said and moved from her mother's hold

"You two don't want mommy to hold you?" She asked them

"No,we're too old for that" Sinclair said

"Too old? You're still kids" she said

"Mom,I'm soon to be 15 and Amanda will be 16 next month" Sinclair said

"You two are probably too grown for my cuddles. You're growing too fast" she said and took off her sweater

Melody led them into the house. It was still like a palace and Amanda didn't like it. The Living room was so spacious and that could even be the size of someone's whole house.

"How many rooms are there?" Amanda asked her mom

"30" she said and Amanda's mouth fell open

"This isn't a hotel" Amanda said

"Well,I thought we would need many rooms in case the other family members decide to come over for the holidays" she said

"Are there neighbours?" Sinclair asked as he wandered round the room

  "Yes"Melody answered

" Thank God. But I didn't see any houses"he said

"Because you clearly didn't look outside. You were busy texting"Amanda said

  "Mmmm. Whatever" he said

"Go choose your rooms"their mom said and Sinclair ran up the stairs and followed the left hand side

Amanda followed him too. They may fight a lot but they were inseparable. Their old rooms were just beside eachother. She followed him and she could hear his footsteps against the tiled floor. He came out of the first room.

"I don't like the painting. It's in grey. Maybe Ian will like that one" he said

Her heart sank, I missed Ian. If he were there, she would be happier. The three of them did everything together.lShopping, hiking, eating, absolutely anything

except bath

. She began to recall how they chose rooms during holidays in hotels where they were going to stay for certain vacations,it was fun having to be with her brothers. They were her whole life and she couldn't replace them.

She got into the second room and saw Sinclair staring outside the window. She stood beside him and stared too. Her mom didn't tell them about the pool,it was beautiful and the back was wonderful. The grasses and bushes behind were what caught Amanda's eyes, she loved to walk in places like that except she didn't have much chances to do that back in London because her grandma would always say she didn't want something to happen to her grandchild. They could go hiking there, maybe later after they had rested. The flight was messy and her feet were aching badly.

"Maybe it won't be very bad" Sinclair said and held her hand

  "Maybe" she said

"We'll be fine. Don't worry. We just need to settle down, call Ian and tell him about the place and also dad. I can't wait for them to get back home" he said

"I miss them so much" she said

"They'll be back soon. Let's just pray they win,it's important to both of them. Most especially Ian,he wants this for himself" he said and they looked at eachother

"I'm still worried about how we'll cope here. Everything is so different" she said

  "Yeah,we'll adapt quickly" he said

"You're picking this room?" She asked him

He looked round the room and shook his head

"Nah,it looks like your typical type of room and I know you like the view here. You can have it" he said

"Thanks" she said and he left to check the next room.

The room had ash painting and beautiful designs in different shapes. There was a long mirror places carefully on the wall, she could definitely take a mirror picture. It was something she had been seeing all over the Internet. A king size bed was in the room and she frowned. Nothing seemed normal in the house except the electrical socket beside her bed. She smiled mischievously as she sat on the side of the bed and looked at the socket. That was something she had always wanted but never got because her grandma was too cautious about everything. She couldn't wait to show Sinclair. Amanda walked down to have dinner. She had arranged her things in her room and taken a hot shower. She felt energetic as ever and she smiled as she sat on the seat beside Sinclair. The dining table had a total of 40 chairs, she took her time to count. It was stressing noticing how everything still seemed the same except for less people and more peace and quiet. Back in their family home, there was a total of 11 kids,7 adults

excluding the home workers

and 5 pets

2 cats and 3 dogs

. There was enough company back there than there was in their new home but she was happy they moved. The pressure on her dad was too much and they decided to move far away. They had their dinner in silence. That was something they had learnt since from birth. It was table manners and they were too used to it. When they got done,Melody came in to pick the plates but Amanda thought it wrong to let Melody do it. She stood up and picked up the plates before Melody could.

"No,I'll do it. It's my job" Melody said and was about to collect the plates when Amanda turned away

"I'll help you.I'm a lady and I should also do these things" she said and moved to the kitchen

Melody switched on the tao in the kitchen sink and started washing the plates while Amanda helped her rinse and arrange them neatly.

Amanda stared at Melody and she admitted Melody was beautiful and quite well-mannered. Of what she knew about Americans, they were quite rowdy

she wasn't so sure about that since she had only met not up to 10 of them

. Those she had met were celebrities and they were well cultured. It was his rich people were taught to behave.

"So,you live around here?" She asked Melody

Melody looked up at her and smiled. That was when Amanda noticed her eyes, they were ocean blue. Very beautiful and she had actually wished so many times to have those eyes but all she had were the bluish-grey eyes. It was something she had in common with her brothers and her father. They were told it was called "central heterochromia".

" Yes,not too far from here"she answered and smiled

"Maybe one day you can show me around" Amanda said

"If your mother says yes then sure. I'll take you around town" she said

"Thanks. So,you'll stay here, right?" Amanda asked her with a hopeful heart that she would say yes

"Yes,your mom suggested it would be better I stay here than waste money and energy each day. But I won't be here constantly. I'm schooling in the college not too far from here" she said

  "That's nice" Amanda said

She didn't care anyway. Out of all the grandkids of the Laurelton's, the children of Reynold Laurelton were the most unique. They actually had a sense of independence, just like their father. One could also say their uncle Eddie had a mind of his own, since he also ditched the family business to chase art. Amanda felt Luke her life would change for the better, she could get to feel like every other normal teenager. She smiled as she helped Melody finish up the work.
