CHAPTER TWO
Jayden puffed the smoke out of the cigarette and drank a shot of vodka before belching irritatingly. He’s face was still sore in thoughts as he rephrase what had happened earlier. He smirked and narrowed his eyes before bringing out his phone to call a old time friend.
“Hello”that was Tim’s voice across the line.
“It’s Jay mark” Jayden said as he pours himself another shot of vodka.
“You don’t mean it” Tim said laughing across the line.
“We need to talk” Jayden said in a cold voice.
“The last time I checked you clearly told me to stay away from you”tim said.
“And I need you now, it won’t be bad starting off like old times”jayden said smirkingat his drink.
“I know you want something from me, but I’ll just consider old times” Tim said.
“Fine. Statham's bar at 9 on for” Jayden said.
“roger that”Tim said before hanging up.
Jayden smiled widely in grief as he rubs his lips with his thumb. He pictured Abel’s face and spats on the floor in detest.
“Let see who loose” Jayden said. Just then his phone beeps signifying a message from an unknown number. And it says thus;
*Hey, let’s meet and talk like men. We can sort things out*…..Abel.
After reading the message , Jayden laughed hard making his chair rock back and forth.
“Motherfucker!”he cursed and rubbed his neck furiously.
“son of a b***h! You think you can reap where you sow nothing!....imma show you who the real man is” Jayden said and stood up and dragged his car keys before stomping out.
“Did he reply?” Alicia asks Abel restlessly.
“No, but take a chill pill I’m sure he might eventually come around….we will keep trying okay?” Abel said.
“I just hope so….I can’t believe this is happening to me right now…who would have thought loving someone would create a misunderstanding between Jay and I” Alicia said sobbing as she hold her knee tightly.
“Same as me, I was thinking meeting him would be a blessing. But all the same, I understand him, but he kept his feelings pending. It never our fault. He never said anything to you , so let just hope for the better”Abel said and Alicia nodded repeatedly as she rubbed her body to warm off.
Tim walked into the bar and immediately, he sighted Jayden at a far end with a bottle of alcohol before him. He smirked as he seem a little bit surprised. Cause the guy before him was the old Jayden and at most, he anticipated in knowing what went wrong as he walks over to Jayden.
“yo what’s up with you” Tim said as he bangs the table lightly before sitting opposite Jayden.
“I need your help Tim” Jayden said staring intensely at Tim.
“The last time I checked, I don’t run office files or board meetings…you should know what I do
winks
. Same old stuff bro” Tim said and pushes the bottle of drink to his side as he drank a mouthful.
“I know Tim, and fuck what you do. I need it right now” Jayden said.
“you know, being more specific right now won’t hurt” Tim said relaxing on his chair as he shakes his head to the slow beat buzzing in the bar.
“Fine, I want you to dig in all personal information about an obstacle” Jayden said.
“Are u for real dude?....like make things more easier for me” Tim said as he looked a bit confused about the whole scenery.
“Fine” Jayden said dryly before explaining everything that happened. From how he met Alicia to the state of things.
“You’ve got to be kidding” Tim said as he laughed dryly.
“See why I need your help” Jayden said and lights another cigarette.
“That dude got to be taught some lessons. And your girl or whatever her name is,deserves to be handled re bad…I mean she plays naïve after everything??!”Tim said fuming impatiently.
“That’s why you are here. I can’t do this alone. I want u to dig out things about him before we strike. He deserves massive pains. And as for Alicia! Leave her to me. I’ll put her in her place” Jayden said and chuckles wryly.
“It good to see you tho bro. We will sure see to things” Tim said as he reaches out for a minor unpleasant handshake that said thousands of words.
