Li Man Shu held the medical license that certified her to perform surgeries, her smile disappearing in an instant as she caught sight of a luxury car parked not far from her front gate.
The car belonged to her husband, purchased just last week, and the woman inside the car fooling around with her husband was Liu Yan, the popular model who's currently the talk of the town.
Tightly grasping the license in her hand, her fingernails digging deep into her palm, she seemed to be using this method to ignore the painful feeling of her heart tearing apart.
Storing the medical license in her bag, Li Man Shu tucked away all her sadness and confidently strode towards the car.

Gu Ye Wei lazily lit a cigarette, seemingly unfazed by being caught in the act. On the contrary, his composed demeanor gave off the impression that he considered the woman standing outside the car as completely insignificant.

Looking up at the security camera installed near the entrance of their house, Li Man Shu gave a faint smile: "No matter how carried away you get, shouldn't you avoid live broadcasting it right outside our home?"
The man exhaled a cloud of smoke, shielding out her words. His gaze was filled with disdain as it fell upon her face.
So, this was the different response from a woman who cheated before marriage. She could still manage to smile despite witnessing her husband in the act with another woman?

"Of course." He looked at Li Manshu disdainfully and replied with a smirk.
Those simple two words shattered the last line of defense in Li Manshu's heart.
Her mother had passed away during her college years. When Gu Yewei encountered financial difficulties while starting a business in college, Li Manshu sold the only house her mother had left her to support him.
Subsequently, when the lighting factory turned profitable, Li Manshu barely scraped by her own difficulties to finally get a marriage certificate with Gu Yewei after graduation.
