"I know we are not friends or anything but I know Katie wouldn't want to see you in misery blaming yourself with something you had no control over. I have accepted the fact that Katie is gone because it's reality, you should do the same".
Before he can say another word a Growl was heard. we turned around at the sound, half dead Katie immediately grabbed Murphy's leg and forced her teeth into his leg.
He fell to the ground with a pained expression, Murphy tried hard to free himself with his foot kicking Katie's face until She let go.
I helped him get up and before long we set our foot in motion, Katie kept crawling on the ground heading to our direction.
Something seemed oddly off, it should be break time but it was too silent and no one was heading to the cafeteria. I opened the door wide and confusion stroke our faces, the classroom was ghosted.
"What happened it's empty! Where do you think everyone might have gone?"
I stood there thinking for a while then I turned my head to Murphy.
"I think everyone might be in the assembly let's go there."
After catching our breath a little we snuck at the assembly and quickly joined the others in the back, while some teachers where giving us deadly glares like a lion targeting it's prey.
The principal stepping up, a bold fat man who seemed to be in his early forties and a face that intimidates every student.
"Morning Students some of you might have heard about this Dilema we are having well Some not, but the rumours are true. They have been a virus that turns people violent making them attack one another".
They where loud gasps everyone was shocked but the principle continued his speech.
"They has been an incessant in death, those infected brutally kill the uninfected and it's uncertain whether the Schools should remain open or closed. I know some of you are obstinate but this is for your own safety, you are advised to stay home until this matter is dealt with.
School will temporarily be Closed until further notice, right now go straight home or you might be the next victim. Have a pleasant day students, you are all dismissed."
The school was filled with loud cheers and student chatting happy until a loud bang was heard, they was glass cluttering and voices of school guards screaming in terror was heard outside.
I made a way on my right to see what was going on and I finally saw it, a bus has crashed into the school doors.
The undead burst inside the School doors, everyone in the assembly screamed. Shock was return in their faces and chaos broke out.
"students! Students! get back to your classes AAAAGGRR". The undead grabbed the principal and bit him on the neck.
teachers and students fleed for their lives while the unlucky ones where brutally killed.
" Kean!! Let's go before we become dinner for those creatures."
"I'm not going anywhere without her, we will meet up in the classroom.
I left Murphy dumbfounded as I headed the opposite direction, they was so much noise everyone was scatterd all over. I was trying so hard to avoid students who where running opposite my direction.
This is literally me versus the school as Everyone was running back to the classrooms, I was the only one opposing them. The merciless crowd finally knocked me to the ground.
Shit my head is Buzzing, I might actually be killed by those Assholes who are stepping on me. Crawling to the nearest wall and balancing myself to stand up, I glanced around that's when I spotted Layla running to the opposite direction She reached the janitor's storeroom and I saw her struggling trying to pull the door.
Three undead where approaching her from all sides, what I saw after that made me swallow in fear it's one of those WTF moments.
One look from it was enough to send chills through my body, it had a human form but it walked in all fours.
It possessed insane speed and was very acrobatic, it had long pointed ears, small bold head and you can see it's long sharp canines when it roared. Red shot eyes and a bent spine. it's back wasn't straight when it stood with it's own feet.
It was definitely not a zombie more like a cannibal because it attacked both the Undead and humans and zombies also attacked it.
It ran to where Layla was and jumped in an incredible hight, landing right on top of one of the Zombie which where heading to Layla, it twisted the Undead's neck and began feeding like a wild beast which has been staving for decades.
Layla was too scared to even move she just stood there like a lost puppy.
That damn thing was feeding next to Layla My chances of saving her if I had to fight that cannibal where messed up. l spotted an axe on the wall nearby used for breaking doors in case of an emergency.
My eyes light up like a Christmas tree and I grinned like a fool, a weapon just what I needed.
I broke the glass with my elbow, many students had fleed only a few remained trying to flee from the undead, I made a haste to try and reach for Layla.
I was sneaking around like a ninja, hiding when necessary trying not to initiate combat. Every step I took in my ninja mode I could feel my heart tried to leap out of my chest.
When I was halfway to reach her she was was already surrounded, that's when she panicked and tripped landing on the floor with her butt.
I was now close to her i immediately sprinted forward, in that moment when the Undead which was infront of her tried to grab her.
All the fear I had vanished, It was replaced with rage, No undead was going to mess with my friend.
It's hand never reached I used all my force and swung the axe and hit the Undead's head, blood splattered hitting my face as the monster fell down to it's knees.
I removed my axe from the creature's head and it fell face first in front of Layla. My senses got back and I realised what just happened.
My first kill.
I wiped my face with my shirt, I didn't feel guilty cause it wasn't human this is what needed to be done to survive it's either you kill or be Killed.
