"WHAT are you doing? Why don't you fix your life? For just one man you are acting like that!" Caleb, her twin brother. Acting like a mother again on her.
She sipped on the last glass of whiskey that she's holding. "Mind your own business Caleb, okay? I'm okay, I am really okay," she answered then lifted an eyebrow.
"Do you want anything today?" he suddenly asked her.
"Hmm, I want a man. A strange man!" she said and his brother mouth turns into an "O" shape. Maybe because of shocked. This is the first time she asked for a man.
"What the heck? Are you crazy?"
"Yeah. I am a crazy woman. And Caleb, tell that strange man to bring me a hard liquor okay? I can no longer feel these rums and whiskeys in the wine cellar of this house,"
She was shocked because he agreed with what she wanted. What happened to my over protective twin?
"Hey Ana!" He slapped her arm.
"Oh f*ck you! Assh*le! You are like—"
"Dave?"
She lower her head. "No, you're not like him."
It made him smile. "I know. Anyways, I have to go. . . and your wish to have a strange man today is granted."
Her lips formed into 'O' again. Like what the f*ck? Seriously?
Caleb poked her on her forehead. That's why she shouted. "Ouch! What is that for Caleb?" she asked him angrily.
"I just want to warn you, the man who will come here is my friend. . . please don't flirt with him okay? You are not his type."
She raised both of her hands as she was saying that she would not flirt. all she really wanted was to hear an advice from a man she did not know. "Where is your friend Caleb? Is he really going here? Did you tell him to bring a drink?"
"Yeah, and he's already on his way here. I have to go, take care of yourself. And know your worth, Dave is not the only fish in the sea," said her twin brother then quickly left their house.
SHE heard a soft knock from the door at the living room of their house. "Come in!" she shouted.
The door opened and then a man with perfect body entered their house. He had long-lashed bottle green eyes, seductive lips, and has an ash flaxen hair.
She couldn't help but to admire the man in front of her and even though her eyes were spinning, she glanced at him from head to toe.
"Are you done eye-raping me?" the man asked her while laughing softly.
It was as if cold water had been poured on her after she thought that the man in front of her was a stranger.
"Who are you?!" she shouted at the man and he simply took the empty wine bottle next to her.
"A-ana? That's your name, isn't it?" The stranger stuttered to her.
"How did you know who I was?" she asked him.
"I am Caleb's friend." He gave her a half smile. "He told me to come here. . . he said you need help?"
She immediately lowered the bottle she was holding when the man introduced himself to her. "Sit," she said then tapped the vacant chair next to her. The man sat down next to her.
"What's your name?"
"Rhythm Cooper," he sparingly answered her then took in her hand the shot glass she was holding and a half bottle of whiskey she had been drinking earlier. "What? Give me back my shot glass and whiskey!" she shouted, and Rhythm couldn't help but too cover his ears because of the timbre of her voice.
"No. if you really want to be happy, do some things that will make you happy. Look at you Ana, you looked like a messed," Rhythm said firmly to her and without a word, he expertly threw the whiskey and shot glass in the trash.
"You look hot while throwing my whiskey and shot glass," bad thing she didn't able to hold her tongue.
"Really?"
She nodded. "You probably know why you're here, don't you?"
"Actually, I don't know why I'm here. But Caleb told me that you want to hear an advice? What kind of advice?"
"Hmm yeah. You wanna hear my story?" she said and she let out a heavy sighed before starting telling her story. "I have a boyfriend, actually we've been together for about three years I guess? We were happy. . . but one day, I just woke up that he was no longer mine. . . and it hurts me so much," she cried. Rhythm kept staring at her and it looked like he was really listening to her story. "I thought we would get back together because we love each other, but there is no hope because — the woman he chose over me was pregnant. . . ." she said and she couldn't stop crying.
"Sometimes, I am asking myself what's wrong? Is there something wrong with me?"
Rhythm softly caress her back and even though this is the first time that they had met, she is not anxious with his presence.
"There is nothing wrong with you," Rhythm told her still caressing her back.
"Then, why did he left me?" she asked him as she wiped the tears from her own cheeks.
"I am not him, I can't really answer your question. But, as a man. . . I can say there is nothing wrong with you, your ex boyfriend just didn't see your value," said Rhythm, and she felt a little relieved.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Are you okay?" he asked her when he noticed that her head was moving.
"I think I'm getting sleepy Rhythm."
"Where is your room?" Rhythm asked her calmly.
"Over there," said Ana, then she pointed her index finger to the second floor of the house. and since she's drunk, she fell on the cold floor.
"Oh sh*t!" Rhythm's immediately picked up her on the floor and he noticed that her one arm was bleeding.
"O-ouch," she moaned loudly as he carried her to the said room.
"Is this your room?" he asked her and she just nodded. He immediately laid her on the bed.
"Why did you get hurt like that?" he asked her irritably.
"R-remnants of the glass I guess."
"Where is your first aid kit?" he asked her and he can hear the quickly beating of his heart. His only intention is to give her an advice! but here he is now, and it looks like he will be an instant caregiver!
"There. Over there," she pointed to the wall and good thing he saw the first aid kit she was pointing at.
He immediately took a cotton ball and filled it with alcohol then he cleaned the area around the woman's wound. "Hmm! Ouch! It hurts, don't stress it too much!"
"Because you are stubborn. If you do not drink, you are not in this condition," he scolded her.
This is because he hates a woman who love to drinks an alcohol. So even though Caleb said that he should bring a hard liquor for his sister, he did not bring.
"Ahhh!" Ana screamed as his hand was slightly pressed against the wound.
"You're so nosy," he drew his lower lip into his teeth.
"It really hurts," she moaned as he wrapped the bondage around her arm.
"You are okay now, you can rest," he said and Ana fell asleep immediately.
Rhythm sat on the couch near on the bed then look at the woman on the bed and he could say she was beautiful. She was slim, sexy and had a fair skin and if she tried to join in a beauty contest, the girl will definitely get something.
Her face was like a face of an angel. Her eyelashes are long and it fits on her rounded eyes. and also, she had a blonde hair which really suits to her heart shape face. If only her hair was not messy, he could say the woman was perfect.
"Hmm," the woman growled so he immediately stood up sitting on the couch then approached her. "Do you need anything?" he asked her.
Ana got up from the bed and was about to step her foot on the floor when she almost fell. Fortunately, Rhythm acted quickly because he caught her immediately.
"Careful," he whispered. If Caleb hadn't told her he wasn't Rhythm's type, she would now think he liked her.
"Where do you want to go?" Rhythm asked her.
"I'm just going to get some air. My head hurts," she replied while slightly squeezing her forehead.
"That's what you get by drinking alcohol," he sarcastically said to her.
"I don't need your opinion."
He shrugged his shoulders. "I have nothing more to say. Let's go outside, it's hot here in your room and so stinky," he said then covered his nose with his hands.
She throw a bad look at him. "Hey! My room doesn't stink!"
He sighed and before Ana throw a pillow into him, he quickly left her room.
She found him in the living room and she was shocked when she caught her mommy crying while her daddy's fist was clenching.
"M-mom? Dad? W-what's going on here?" she asked her parents.
