Exams results were released and I wasn't bothered because I new I'll pass with flying colors as always. I got a notification from mara and I wasn't surprised she checked out my results and of course as expected I made it with flying colors and so did mara. The graduation ceremony was said to be held on the 28th of April which happens to be my birthday ,what a way to celebrate my success. My phone rings and it was mara calling .

" Hi mara I was just about calling you ,what's up ?

" Abbyyyy aren't you excited about the graduation,you sound cold!

" Of course I am ! who wouldn't be with such performances?

"You are about to show off again , whatever. what are your plans for the event ? " Are you joining the class for a party ?

" What party?

"Besides my mom won't let me no matter how hard I persuade her ,she already has a plan and I will roll with it . by the way you are included in it no excuses allowed just inform your family we'll celebrate together okay"

" Are you sure about this Abi ?

"Of course I am ! I know you are scared of my mom don't worry she's cool with it as a matter of fact she was the one who suggested the idea "

" Did I hear that right ?

" Yes you did ,my mom is no evil woman she's just a strick disciplinarian "

"Oh my God thanks Abi I'll come over and thank her myself".

" The D-Day finally came and I was not surprised with all the arrangements my mom had made so far ,she's too extravagant sometimes "

" Abby , sweetheart your friend mara is here open the door my mom shouted from outside"

" Coming mom give me a second"

" Good morning to you to mom ! you should have ask the maid to wake me why bother coming yourself?"

"you can't be still sleeping at this hour of the day when you barely have 2 hours to get yourself ready . Now I'll give you girls 30 minutes to freshen up and meet the stylist and make up artist in the dressing room I'm i clear?

" Yes Mrs Edna Williams !

" I shall go get ready as well ,you know I have to look like my old days in high school as well what do you think?

" Go away mom do what ever suits you but remember not to outshine me it's my day not yours and I need all the attention on me.

" Abby,I've never seen your mom this cool ,from the outside she looks like one who can kill with her eyes , even the way she walks .gosh I've been thinking of how to avoid her but it turns out she's not as bad as I imagined"

" But I do fear my mom sometimes honestly,she's easy to go with but she's very short tempered and strick sometimes"

" And what about your dad ,no glimpse of him since I came in "

"Aaaaaah you how he is ,he should be in the private study working his life out ,don't worry about the old man he'll pull up when necessary and trust me he'll never be late "

" I do envy you and your dad, your relationship is so cool I wish my dad could look at me just once and say something like ,I love you mara or my daughter I'm proud of you "

" Mara enough with the whining okay that's why I let you get close to my parents so you feel at home . I know you and my dad have a good relationship and you are a bit scared of my mom but trust me she loves you like her own ,she won't just tell you like that"

" Okay tell me why do you think she made the celebration in both our names and not Elvira , despite knowing Elvira has been my childhood friend and both our parents are business partners?

"Uhmmmmmmm"

"No uhmmmm let's get ready ,you don't want to start your relationship with mom by getting late ,she won't spare you if you are I promise you that"

" Okay fine fine ,I'll go first "

"Don't take long In the shower"

" I Didn't mind sharing everything with mara because she wasn't as fortunate as I was and she was a really a nice girl like her mother .

" Wow these dresses look fabulous they must cost a fortune"

" Such a noise maker go ahead and choose which ever you want" " just then my mom came in "

" Mara , sweetheart the stylists are here "

" Mara, Ivy here will handle your dressing and make up ". " Abby. !

" Yes mom "

"Lydia will take care of yours too "

" Please you guys should do your jobs well and please make sure you are fast about it"

" Yes ma'am they answered in unison"

" Mom what about you?

"And what about me she asked raising her eye brows in concern ?

" Stop playing mom ain't you gonna do your makeup too?

" Oh that don't worry I got that covered just roll with yours and I with mine bye bye"

" Remember not to outshine me Mrs Williams Im warning you ,I shouted and she chuckled before she left"

" Mara and I finished and was waiting for the couples to show up so we leave together"

" Woo woo woo woo mara exclaimed while tapping my shoulder , Abby take a look at your parents they look stunning my goodness what a perfect couple!

" My dad was dressed in a navy blue notch lapel suit , tuxedo shoes with blue cut shades absolutely stunning , and as for my mom she didn't go easy with the hip cut flared off shoulder gown with a broken line that runs from her knee to her feet , color blue with patches of white on the waist and on the broken line "

" Mom , dad we aren't going for a fashion tour or show "

" I knew you'd be jealous of my outfit but it's fine ,you look just the way I had imagine you to be , beautiful they did a great job on you , mara you look beautiful as well "

" My two princesses come and give Dady a hug I must say I'm very very proud of you both "

" Thanks dad "

" Can we go now my mom shouted"

" I was thinking of the speech I have to make on behalf of my classmates and the distinguished guest that will be present and it scared me a bit because I've never spoken Infront of a huge crowd before"

" Mara could you please read the speech for me?

" No way !

" Why me ? this was assigned to you"

" Don't worry my princess Dady will be right beside you , you have absolutely nothing to fear ,just think of it like you are talking to me and your mom and remember to smile okay ?

Thanks dad I said with a smile on my face!

" We arrived the ceremonial ground and it was full with guest , the celebrants,the juniors and the school authorities.

" Just then the host of the day came forth and asked everyone to be seated and read out the headline of the program "

" With that said and done it was time for me to give a speech which I did without one bit of nervousness and the awards were also given .

" It was time to move to the phase two of the celebration which I had to change to another dress quite stressful but I was happy "

" The theme color for the reception was pitch and white ,I trust my mom with handling matters like this she's good "

" My dad mounted the stage took the mic and made a heart touching speech for me along side my mom and a toast was raised for me"

" The party had just begun and there was my mom introducing me to her friends and their children ,I was bored with the number of people I had greeted so far they kept say saying " you are indeed very beautiful" and your gown is quite exquisite " as if they planned saying the same thing. " Mom , mom I'll go greet my friends who are just coming in now I'll catch up with you later "

"no you stay where's mara can't she help you with that ?

" Mom I need to do this myself give me a break will you I ran off before she could talk again"

" The party was over and everyone returned to their homes "

" It's been two weeks after the party and everyone has been busy with work except me"

" Abby , baby can Dady come in and have a chat with you ?
