Aaron gave Ana three days to decide whether she would marry him.
Ana woke up early that morning, having slept poorly the night before.
Although she decided to delay her decision, she knew she couldn’t avoid it forever.
Today was her day off.
She got up early, completed her daily chores, exercised, and had breakfast.
Ana lived with her family: her father, Mr. Ronald Willis, ran a well-respected company, and her mother, Steffi Willis, was a loving partner in the business. Ana also had an elder sister named Stella.
After finishing her breakfast, Ana retreated to her room and sat on the bed, her mind preoccupied with thoughts of Aaron. She wondered, "Why did Aaron choose me? Does he really love me?"
She recalled their first meeting on August 11th, Aaron’s birthday. Ana worked part-time as a trainer at a technology company, where she also assisted with student training. She was highly educated and talented, having learned about computer software at an early age.
On Aaron’s birthday, after completing her training, Ana left the company with Stella. As they were leaving, Aaron approached them, introduced himself, and handed sweets to Stella, mentioning it was his birthday. He then asked Stella about Ana. Stella introduced Ana as her sister, and Aaron, looking surprised, asked Stella repeatedly if she was telling the truth.
“Yes, Aaron, she is my sister. Why don’t you believe me?” Stella replied with a smile. Aaron then looked at Ana—a teenage girl with a school bag. Unlike other teens who wore makeup, Ana appeared pure; she had no eyeliner or heavy makeup. Her eyes sparkled, her lips were pink, and her long eyelashes made her look very endearing.
Ana didn’t speak to Aaron; she simply smiled and left with Stella. Aaron stopped them and went to a nearby shop to buy some special sweets for them. When he returned, he was beaming with happiness. After receiving the sweets from Aaron, Ana and Stella went home.
Ana was not very talkative. She often preferred to smile rather than speak, even in challenging situations. She believed that speaking less helped her avoid conflicts. Calm and sincere in her work, Ana was well-regarded by her friends. She kept her circle small and only trusted those she truly knew.
Ana was quick to judge people upon meeting them and took time to build close relationships. Those who couldn’t get close to her often-sought help from her friends, but this rarely succeeded. Ana intentionally avoided those she wasn’t close to.
Her friends missed her greatly when she wasn’t around. Ana was known for her humour and straightforwardness. If she trusted someone, she offered her full support. As a top student with strong technical skills, she was well-liked by her professors and would even step in to teach if needed.
Despite her quiet demeanour, Ana was admired by many. Girls envied her because she wasn’t flirtatious, while boys eagerly sought any opportunity to get close to her. Ana, however, knew how to avoid unwanted attention without being hurtful.
Ana met Aaron only on his birthday and didn’t know much about him at the time. She assumed he worked in a different department with her sister. In reality, Aaron had met Stella, the department head of the animation team, through his friend Vivian, who worked in the animation department. Having taken over his family’s company at a young age, Aaron was highly accomplished. He completed his doctorate’s degree early and took over the company from his father, who was caring for his ill mother.
Three years into managing the company, Aaron had been very successful with every project. When opening a new branch, he decided to oversee it himself to ensure the project started on time. With a strong interest and knowledge in animation, he contacted his friend Vivian, the head of the advertising team. Despite his busy schedule, Aaron decided to visit, as his friend’s company handled the ads. None of his friends were aware of Aaron's background; he usually wore casual clothes but still appeared powerful and charming. Although typically aloof and reserved, his demeanour changed when he met Ana.
Aaron fell in love with Ana at first sight. His thoughts were consumed by her, and he began investigating her past, particularly her romantic history. He wanted to ensure she wasn’t involved with anyone and was determined to win her heart if she wasn’t.
His investigation revealed that Ana was not in love with anyone, although she had rejected two proposals. She had high computer knowledge, having completed a software course in middle school. She valued friendship, helping others, and had a passion for gardening, arts and crafts, nature, and music. Despite having no formal training, she sang beautifully, and her sweet, childlike voice attracted many admirers.
After gathering all the details, Aaron instructed his assistant, Nick, to arrange a position for him in the animation department of the infotainment company. He wanted to start the following day and asked Nick to coordinate with John, the company’s director and a friend of Aaron. Aaron planned to join part-time and finalize his schedule later.
In the afternoon, Aaron called John, who was surprised to receive a call directly from him. John assured Aaron that he could do whatever he wished at the company. Aaron thanked him and said he would discuss further details in person.
The next day, Aaron officially joined the infotainment company as a part-time worker, teaching two classes: business learning and animation. His extensive knowledge and eagerness to share it pleased John, who saw it as a valuable asset.
Despite his busy role as the director of the Apex Group, Aaron made time to teach whenever possible and appointed someone else to handle classes when he was unavailable. His primary motive for joining the company was to get closer to Ana.
