[ 3rd Person's POV ]
The girl with the sackcloth on her head was Adelaide Haitlyn Saverio, the only child of Elizabeth Saverio and Claude Saverio. She is on top of the famous ladies in her country, Antebellum. She got the looks, the personality, the attitude, and even the title of being the ‘Lady of Antebellum’, because she is so kind that everyone wants to be her friends and everyone became her enemies as well. The girl with such high reputatiom is now infront of the gulliotine, waiting to die in the hands of a Grand Duchy, Ash Draco Marquis.
"I-I did n-not do i-it! I-I did not k-kill your l-lover, s-she just d-died in m-my h-hands!", she exclaimed aloud while her hands are shaking and then, lament. Draco waved his right hand and the man removed the sackcloth covering Adelaide's head. Draco saw Adelaide's red and begging eyes, and he smiled at what he saw.
This dark room is filled only with people led by Draco. Gulliotine and Adelaide were in the middle of the room while the man who was going to kill her was sitting on a throne.
"Tell me why I should believe you...", he asked with a baritone yet low voice while walking towards her. The edge of Adelaide's lip curved and she looked up to see Draco's face.
"Y-Ynasia says y-you can't s-save her.", She whispered bravely and tearfully which widened the young man's eyes. He violently grabbed the woman's hair to see her reaction, "Huh! I dare you to say that again and I'll kill you myself.", The man's angry statement silenced everyone.
"HAHAHAH!", laugh of a man in the dark corner of the room. Everyone stared at it except Adelaide who was blinded by the force of Draco's tweak force. "I know you know that everything she said is true, Draco. Yes, you can protect her but only when she is with you. Don't expect me to let that woman suffer and die?", He pointed out to Adelaide, " The only person Ynasia last saw? I can't let you, even if it means fighting you and starting a war between our forces. ", Adelaide cried out loud at what she heard and even managed to steal a look at the man who said he would save her. Only Adelaide's sobs and cries echoed in the four corners of the room. No one blinked their eyes. Their attention was on the two men exchanging sharp glances as if they were killing each other.
"Then fight me, Xian.", Draco challenged loudly then violently released Adelaide. He matched Adelaide and pulled the dagger out of his shoe pocket. "If you win or even land a scratch on my face, she will live. But if it's vice versa, I'll put her neck under the gulliotine. Deal?", He smiled at his suggestion while looking at the woman in front of him and turned the look at Ynasia's brother. The man nodded.
[ Adelaide's POV ]
"Oh, by the way, what's your name?", Draco asked me. I bent down and replied to him, "A-Adelaide...", biting my lip at the same time because my tears were slowly flowing again.
"Adelaide, did you know that Xian is physically weak? Especially when he's got no gun. So don't get your hopes high. You'll die.", I was startled by what he said which caused me to look at the man he called Xian. Our eyes meet and I shake my head telling him that he doesn’t need to fight and sacrifice himself for my safety but he just smiled at me, indicating that everything will be okay as well.
"Y-You can't... N-No...", I whispered while crying until I noticed behind him there was a woman holding a chair. *Tug*, she slapped the chair she was holding on the back of his body. Xian's unconscious body fell to the floor.
"N-No, no, no, no.", I stopped crying because of what had happened. The man who was supposed to help me to escape Draco's hand is unconscious. Anger and grief are the two things i feel as of this moment. "Is he dead?", Draco asked. The woman went to Xian's side and checked his pulse on his neck, "No.", she replied and smiled at me. Not even a second after I glared at her, I felt a cold metal on my neck, "Move and you'll bleed.", Draco said. I looked to my right using my peripheral vision. My tears flowed again as I took a deep breath.
"K-Kill me if that's w-what you want. Just d-don't kill Xian.", I said with my eyes closed and opened my eyes again to look in his direction, causing the dagger to injure my neck. I could feel my blood slowly flowing down on my neck. He removes the dagger he placed on my neck, I slowly close my eyes. *I accept that I will die. There is nothing I can do about the situation I am in.*, I said to myself. My mind was calm when suddenly, *Slap *, he slapped me on my left cheek which made me open my eyes. I only felt pain until it became numb. My mind can't process that I was slapped by a man 4 years ahead of my age. The same woman earlier violently grabbed my hair and put my neck on gulliotine.
"I killed Ynasia.", she said. I was confused so I looked at her face to make sure she was telling the truth and if she was also what Ynasia was saying about that night. Long black hair, blue eyes. My eyes widened because it looked exactly the same as the one Ynasia mentioned. The one who wanted to kill her is the girl who will also kill me. Even before I could speak, my vision went dark...
[ 3rd Person's POV ]
The girl grab Adelaide by her hair and put her neck on the gulliotine. And in just a minute, her body and head separated.
"Good bye, Miss Adelaide Haitlyn Saverio.", Draco said as he walked out of the room. His people were left shocked but in a short time, they also left the room one after the other as if nothing happened. The man was left lying on the floor unconsciously as well as Adelaide's body cut in two.
"I'll grant what your heart desires. You shall be reborn as you, and escape your tragic fate."
