Matrix's P.O.V
"Oh? You're not from here?" the man in front of me resonated with such a strong aura that I felt uncomfortable. You can really see that he holds power. You can see that he screams money, and a lot of it.
I have just finished high school and am in need of money to pursue my college life. This was me going to save up for college. We were too poor to actually afford a good school. This is me pushing my luck with compromises. But I guess this is me being too confident that I was going to get hired after being rejected by multiple companies already.
The building was majestic, inside and out. Polished to the point of perfection and not a single speck of dust to be seen. The marble-y walls and the tall window glass made me think that he had a lot of money to spare. When I saw the job hiring, I thought it was for his company, but when I went inside and inquired, it was for his eldest daughter.
I was going to say 'no' and walk away when I noticed how big of a company this was. I didn't leave and just stayed, willing to hear more, when I found myself already in front of the man that made it to news headlines. What happened made me wonder how I was already in front of him.
"Uhm, no, sir. I come from another country." he reads through the thin paper where all of my information was present. He wasn't smiling, nor frowning.
He kept a straight face, unlike all the other companies that I had interviews with after waiting for many days. He closed my portfolio so suddenly that I flinched. He leaned on his chair, slapping me with his confidence. I gulped, but silently, not wanting to make him think that I couldn't handle pressure.
"What are you?"
It was such a vague question, but somehow I understood what he meant. He referred to my short hair, style, and my muscular build. He was asking for the sake of clarification, and not for degrading me. I know.
"I am a lesbian, sir." he leaned into his chair, resting his elbows there and covering his mouth. His brown eyes searched my face.
"You can do whatever job I throw at you?"
"It depends on how much you'll pay me, sir." he smirked.
"I like what you're thinking. Fair. You're hired."
And just like that, I found myself inside his mansion. It was as if I blinked through the car ride and through so many security guards. Inside his mansion was practical gold. I had to keep my mouth clenched for it to not fall to the floor. There was an actual chandelier inside his mansion. A long staircase in front, like what you'd see in the movies.
I couldn't help but look around as we walked. There were maids around, cleaning and there were butlers with trays on their hands with juices and snacks.
"We're here," he said. His gruff voice echoed through the ever so wide hallway. There were many rooms in his mansion but he stopped in front of one with a sign 'Ai'.
Doesn't that translate to 'love' in Japanese? I thought to myself.
"She already knows that you're here. Get acquainted with each other." Ai's father walked away and left me in front of her room.
I gulped before knocking. After three knocks, she opened the door and she was wearing such revealing clothes. I had to look elsewhere and keep silent. She was taller than me by two inches. She had shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. Her short shorts hugged her thighs so tightly that I could almost look at her slit.
She had cute lips and she was stunning.
"Matrix?" her voice was hot. It was girly but not too much and a bit husky. It was as if she woke up, like, five minutes ago. Her hair looked fluffy and full, a bit curly. I prefer long-haired women, but damn, she just grabbed my attention- wait, no.
Fuck. Get it together. She's your boss' daughter. I wanted to bang my head through the door and make a hole for thinking sensual things about my boss' daughter. She was the eldest and she was obviously straight. I guess, I can't tell.
She smiled at me but I couldn't look at her straight because she was wearing such revealing clothes. I didn't want to make it awkward, but I think that's what I'm doing right now. I grinned my teeth before smiling back at her.
"Hello, Miss Aimee Ruv Lim." she knitted her eyebrows at me.
"Why?"
"The full name?"
"No? The 'miss',"
"Oh, well, since you're my boss' daughter and you're-" she raised an eyebrow at me with a lop-sided smile.
"You do realize that we're going to the same school, right?"
I didn't seem to hear what she just said. I couldn't process it. I did not know about this. She leaned on the door frame and crossed her arms in front of her chest. I had to avert my eyes again.
"What did my Daddy tell you?"
"He, uh, just told me that I was going to stay in the same hou- mansion as you." she rolled her eyes and walked away, but she stopped.
"Follow me." she said before walking away again.
I followed behind her and watched as her ass jiggled as she walked. I tried to peel my eyes off of her ass, but they kept on going there. We walked through many many doors before stopping in front of what seemed like an office. She knocked on the door and busted in. I followed behind her like a lost puppy. There, her father was, sitting and signing some papers, but as soon as he heard the door open, he stopped working and looked up.
"Aimee,"
"Daddy, why didn't you tell her everything?"
"What? I asked her if she was willing to do any kind of job." Aimee shook her head.
"Please tell her."
I was so lost. I wasn't following. I just stood there, awkwardly listening to their conversation.
"Matrix, you're going to the same university as her. You're going to live under the same roof and you're going to be her bodyguard."
"The same uni- sir, I can't afford-"
"Who said you were going to pay for it?" I was too stunned to speak.
"Sir, I-"
"The day you start working here, the day you'll be free of financial crisis. And I want you to start today." I couldn't stop from tearing up.
This felt like heaven had just supported everything that I've done in my life. I didn't even intend to apply for this job offer, but I guess this was sent from heaven. I could never thank God enough for this opportunity, but at the same time, it's quite scary. Aimee's father was a tycoon, a fucking rich dad. Should I expect gun fights? Fuck, I've never done that before. Abductions? Kidnapping? I don't want that. My life is quite peaceful, if I say so myself, minus all the hustling.
"Sir, I can't possibly-"
"I don't want no one else. I trust that you're going to perform well and not let me down." it was pressuring, but I couldn't pass this up.
I was determined.
"Yes, sir." he smiled.
"Alright, you take the room beside Aimee's and a car will be provided."
"A car, sir?"
"You're going to be Aimee's personal driver as well." I clicked my tongue.
"Understood, sir."
We were going back to Aimee's room and she was in front of me again. I wasn't looking at her ass this time. I was too occupied with the pay and all the other benefits that I was going to get just from being with Mr. Lim's daughter.
"I guess he must really like you," she said, breaking the silence.
"What do you mean, Miss Ruv?" she stopped walking and turned toward me. I stopped walking and looked at her in the eyes.
"Ruv? Miss? What's with that?"
"Uhm, it's just-"
"Just call me whatever you like, without the 'miss' if you must. It feels weird." she said before turning around. I cleared my throat.
I was a year older than her, but since I stopped for a year to search for work, I was a year behind my peers. I'm going to be a freshman at a new school, in a new country, and I'm going to be living with a different family. Since my parents aren't here, I lived alone. The contract stated for a year, so I guess I'm going to be living here for a year. Next to Aimee Ruv Lim.
"Ruv, is, is that okay?" I stuttered, shy that I was talking to a girl. She was a rich girl as well.
