"So you think you can escape me, huh?" Will laughed as if he was finding all of it funny. Sammy just stood there not understanding what she had done wrong again.
Ever since she first met the kids at the restaurant, things just started going worse. It was bad as it was before she met this man and his kids, with a crazyl exboyfriend, pressure from her father telling her to get married, the debt and unemployment.
She thought now that she has silenced her father, paid the debt and solved the unemployed part it was going to be a smooth ride for the next few years at least. Who knew that she was going to have to wish for her old life back?
This man was just too much! What exactly did she do now? She never said that she wanted to escape him. Where he was getting that from , only God knows.
Sammy thought that she should ask what made him think that she wanted to escape him. There really was nothing to escape him for. He was the one doing the escaping.
"Sir, you have to explain for me to understand what you're saying because I'm lost." Sammy asked carefully.
Will looked at Samantha and once again wanted to applaud her for her acting skills. Too bad he had heard all about her and here she was thinking she can act all innocent like she didn't do anything wrong.
He told her not to cheat on him but did she listen? No she didn't, not only did she cheat with one guy but two and even his friend has been seduced by her.
"So you thought you could cheat on me? " he asked leaving the window where he was standing and strolled to where she stood close to the door.
"Cheat?" Sammy asked because she thought she might have misheard.
"You have guts,huh?" he got closer to Sammy and she took a step back. "Not everyone has fallen for this good girl/innocent girl look of yours. So tell me how did you do it? Or better yet, show me how you seduced my friend who you know is like a brother to me?"
What is he talking about? Is he thinking I'm someone else? Sammy thought to herself.
While she was busy thinking he had closed the distance between them. Samantha saw his shoes and looked up so fast she almost hit his chin. She was so surprised because this was a first. The first time he had been so close to her and it was unsettling for Sammy.Usually he doesn't have time to talk to her unless she has broken a rule or something about the kids.
"Sir, it's me Samantha." at this point she really thought she should introduce herself to him in case he was thinking she's someone else.
He smirked and said, "Is that how it goes? By introduction? Ahh... You think this is a case of mistaken identity?"
Will could see it in her eyes, the questions and the real fear, but she can't be afraid of him right? She's a seductress. A liar. Someone who targeted him from the very start. So how could she be afraid of him.
There was a muffled cry in the room and for a moment none of them reacted. They were still staring at each other. Sammy trying to figure out if he was serious or if this was a joke. Will questioning everything he had heard about her. It all made sense when he heard it this morning though.
Sammy now realized that it was the monitor in her dress pocket that was alerting her that Emma was crying in her room.
She quickly looked away and said,"Im sorry Sir ,duty calls." and walked out the door as fast as she could. It was more for escape than for urgency to reach the baby.
When she got to the baby's room she just rocked her a bit and she was fast asleep again in no time. Sammy put Emma back in bed and went to her room only to find Will waiting for her.
