In North Griffinley, under the clear sky, a fighter jet passed through the clouds and landed smoothly on a military airfield.

"Grandpa, what place is this?"

A young man, who disembarked from the airplane, glanced at the dilapidated houses before him and couldn't help but frown in query.

"This is the forbidden ground of Millburgh. For you and me to be here today, we're indeed blessed by someone."

The old man responded with a stern face.

"What?" the young man was surprised. Then he looked carefully around him again, "Grandpa, you aren't fooling me, right? There's nothing special here."

"This is the world's most strictly guarded prison— the Abyssal Prison."

"What? Just this? Only a couple of broken houses and not even a single guard. A prison claiming itself to be the world's most strictly guarded prison. Let alone ruthless criminals, even ordinary inmates could easily escape from here."

The young man spoke with disdain.

The old man gave a slight smile, his eyes filled with awe, "As long as that man is here, a single command of his is sufficient with no need for any other guards."

"Is this place powerful?" the young man was surprised, "Grandpa, you aren't joking, are you? If he is so powerful, why would there be a need for me to guard here?"

"Unruly!"

The old man's face immediately turned icy as he sharply glared at the young man. "The name 'Evan' is not for you to casually call. You should refer to him as 'The North Patrol King.' As long as he is here, North Griffinley will forever remain peaceful. If you ever disrespect again, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

A powerful aura directly assailed the young man, pushing him back a few steps.

Even the jet behind him trembled at this moment.

"Grandfather, even if I was wrong, there's no need to be like this, I am your own grandson."

The youth was upset that the old man was biased towards Evan, and spoke with a tinge of discontent.

The old man sighed, "Have you heard of the top ten demon gods in the world today?"

"I have." Speaking of these ten demon gods, the youth seemed as if he was talking about family treasures, and his face even showed an expression of awe. "Grandfather, when you mention them, could it be that this gentleman is also one of the top ten demon gods?"

The top ten demon gods were figures standing at the pinnacle of this world.

Everyone, who wouldn't admire them?

"The top ten demon gods are indeed powerful, but in his eyes, they are nothing more than common plebeians." The old man expressed his disdain, pointing towards the old house in front of them. "There, two of the demon gods are confined. Three others have already become fallen ghosts under his Snow Wolf Blade! The four demon gods, who serve the Millburgh, are now his subordinates."

What?

The young man was shocked beyond belief. "Impossible, right? I remember you saying that he is only twenty-three years old, how could he be so powerful? Could it be that he is a god?"

"If there truly are gods in this world, then he is indeed a god." The old man spoke solemnly, "If I had not assisted him back when he first entered North Griffinley, how could you have landed such a fortunate opportunity?"

A fortunate opportunity?

The youth didn't quite know what to say.

Being sent here to watch over a prison is considered a fortunate opportunity? Each and every one inside seemed like reincarnations of devils, one moment of chaos could cost him his life!

The youth was nearly in tears, "Grandfather, given my skills, how can I keep an eye on them? Especially considering there are two demon gods here."

"Relying on your current abilities, indeed, you won't be able to." The old man lifted his hand and pointed at the earthen wall not too far away, "You go and see, what is on that wall?"

The youth was curious and leaned in to take a closer look, only to see a short knife stuck in the wall.

Although the knife was rusty due to wind and rain, it still commanded respect.

"This is the Snow Wolf Knife of a certain respected elder," the old man said solemnly. "He always took this Snow Wolf Knife with him in every battle, using it to defeat all the powerful enemies that invaded the Millburgh. Seeing this knife is as if seeing North Griffinley Vanquishing Prince!"

The youth was shocked, looking at the short knife in disbelief.

Just a single knife made two great demon lords even dare not to flee!

When did the demon lords become so vulnerable?

"You must wonder, how did such a short knife possess such great power?" The old man looked at the youth sideways.

The youth nodded, his eyes full of curiosity.

"Do you know about the battle that happened a month ago?"

"I do." The youth was very thrilled. "The demon lords of the Five Kingdoms gathered an elite army of one million to invade the Millburgh from North Griffinley, but they were all annihilated within three days!"

"Correct!" Nodded the old man. "Do you know who was responsible for their annihilation?"

"Could it be..."

The youth suddenly realized.

"Indeed, it was North Griffinley Vanquishing Prince. With one man and one knife, he decimated their one million elites!" The old man was full of passion. "That battle was cataclysmic, with rivers of blood flowing. The enemy's corpses piled up like mountains, becoming the most beautiful landscape of North Griffinley. After the battle, the remaining demon lord from abroad cut off his own left hand, vowing never to set foot in the Millburgh again."

To think, one man vanquished a million of the enemy's elite!

This power is so terrifying!

The young man was dumbfounded, unable to believe what he heard.

After a while, the young man trembled with excitement, "Grandpa, can I meet North Griffinley Vanquishing Prince?"

"He is gone!" The old man shook his head and sighed, "He has two very important things to do! Revenge and returning a favor!"

"Revenge?" The young man was surprised, "With the capability of North Griffinley Vanquishing Prince, who dares oppose him?"

They are all old stories."

The old man sighed deeply, recounting an old tale.

Ten years ago, a civil strife broke out in the Parkstead's wealthy Marner family.

Evan’s branch encountered a disaster, were driven out of their own family and suddenly lived a very tight life.

Nevertheless, someone in the Marner family, with ulterior motives, worried that Evan's branch would one day rise again, sent people to pursue and kill them.

Both parents and sister of Evan were brutally killed. Only he, at the age of thirteen, was saved by an unknown expert and thus narrowly escaped from calamity.

"The Marner family is too cruel to do such a thing!" The young man exclaimed angrily, "This time, North Griffinley Vanquishing Prince will certainly wipe out the entire Marner family."

"This is the business of North Griffinley Vanquishing Prince's family, it’s not your place to interfere, you just need to focus on your task." The old man, unperturbed by the young man's anger, said solemnly, "I asked you to guard here, actually it’s a chance for you. Here, not only are there two Demon Gods, but also many special talents. If you can learn a thing or two from any of them, it will be enough to benefit you for life."

Only then did the young man came to a realization, his face full of joy.

...

On the flight to Parkstead, Evan closed his eyes in silent reverie.

Memories of the past began to flicker one by one in his mind.

Even though he had reached a state of indifference to fame and humiliation, the thought of his family's ordeal still stirred an undying resentment in his heart.

However, this was not the time to let himself be overwhelmed. He had to stay controlled.

"Waaa!"

The cry of a child broke through Evan's train of thought.

Opening his eyes, he saw a crying little girl in the neighboring seat, being comforted by a woman next to her.

The little girl was probably around three years old, adorable, her eyes puffy and red from crying.

Looking at the little girl, Evan was reminded of his younger sister.

At the time of her tragic incident, she was just four years old, around the same age as this little girl now.

"Little girl, why are you crying? Is there anything uncomfortable?" Evan asked gently, a smile on his face.

The little girl did not respond, but her cries grew louder.

The woman, rubbing the little girl's hair, turned towards Evan with an apologetic look, "I'm sorry for disturbing you. This child probably feels uncomfortable due to the sudden descent of the plane."

"It's okay."

Evan slightly smiled.

"What do you mean, 'It’s nothing'?"

Suddenly, a voice resounded from behind. A young man in a suit and leather shoes suddenly stood up, furiously shouting at the woman, "Make this brat shut up immediately! If she dares to cry again, I'll deal with her myself!"

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry!" The woman's face turned flustered as she repeatedly apologized to the young man.

The little girl was frightened by the young man and cried even harder.

"Damn, she won't shut up?" The young man flared in anger, showing clear impatience as he waved his hand, "Make this little nuisance shut up!"

The bodyguards immediately stood up, with menacing looks on their faces as they approached the girl, preparing to strangle her neck.

A hand suddenly appeared, stopping the bulky man's hand.

"It's you who should shut up!" Evan stared at the young man, "If you dare to speak another word, I will take care of you now!"

Upon these words, everyone in the room hushed.
