People buzzing around in a morning busy street of the city as they rush towards their work place, probably late for their works. Some running around with bunch of coffees and bread in their hands, other with a pile of documents as they rushed towards the subway.

Not far from the busy street is a woman rushing around with coffee bags in her hand and a pile of documents in the other, she grunted with the heavy load in her arms as she passes the crowd of people on the streets and arriving at one of the buildings.

“ID please" The security officer standing in front of the door, waiting for her ID to be scanned.

“O-Oh..." The woman said and put the coffee down the floor before scanning her ID. She immediately picked it up and run inside towards the closing elevator.

“Watch your step, Priscilla!" The security shouted as Priscilla smiled at her.

“I will!" She shouted and ran away, rushing towards a pack of people getting in and out of the building.

“STOP THE DOOR!" She shouted as someone pressed the button to keep the elevator's door open. The woman immediately went inside, panting but grateful she made it.

“Thank you" Priscilla said to the passerby as the person only nodded at her. She took a slight breather before rushing out when the elevator's door opened in her floor.

“Priscilla! Can you photocopy this and send it to the manager?" A woman ordered and hand her a file despite her hands being full.

“O-Okay" Priscilla said before rushing in the office. She starts to give their coffee and pastry one by one without much of a glance or gratitude from them but nevertheless she smiled.

“Priscilla! Can you edit this? I need this in an hour”

“Priscilla, can you go over this and have it print after”

“Hey, do this and give it to me after, I need it in the afternoon”

Priscilla slumped back into her chair, her disheveled light brownish hair falls into her back and her emerald eyes stared at the ceiling, as her table continuedly piled with work that other people handed to her, being new at work brought her a bit of hazing from the others, she likes that she was useful but that doesn’t mean she liked being insulted to her face.

“Priscilla! There’s a meeting in an hour, hurry up!" Her manager ordered as she sat up and nodded, grabbing her filer, notepad and everything necessary that she will need for this meeting before following her boss inside the meeting room.

“There will be an upcoming party tomorrow night, we need someone to attend the party and persuade Mr. Mickelberg to sign a contract with us." Their boss stated as everyone nodded.

“We have tried multiple times to persuade him but all he said was that it was not worth investing for and that was coming from his Aide and not him" Someone stated as everyone agreed with her.

“What about asking other company? If we can’t have his investment at least others would do" Another one recommended as their boss shook his head.

“We can’t, the president handed this matter to us because we have offered the most investments in the company for the past two months and he wants the investment of the billion-dollar company owned by the Mickelberg Family" Their boss stated as everyone started to discuss themselves.

“It’ll be hard, I mean most of the investment we offered was done by Priscilla, we can’t send a newbie to a lion’s den especially unpresented one" A woman commented and send a mean look at Priscilla who looked away.

Priscilla knew that her co-workers are jealous of her achievement and that may be one of the reasons why she was cast out by them.

“If we don't get this investment in a month all of us will get a salary deduction by half. We have no choice." The boss said and looked at Priscilla who tried to avoid looking at him.

“Priscilla" He called out as she whipped her head and look at him nervously.

“Yes?”

“You will handle the Investment contract with Mr. Mickelberg, make sure to make him agree with the terms, you have a month" Her boss said as she tried to refused but was stopped.

“Meeting End, dismiss" Their boss said as they all slowly left the room, leaving Priscilla in a state of shock.

“I can't do this!" She exclaimed when she was alone in the room, frantically pacing back and forth.

“I can't do this! I mean that's Mickelberg! I'm okay with other companies since they are far easier to deal with but that company is what I've been avoiding!" Priscilla exclaimed racking her hair in frustration.

“Oh? calling the notorious billionaire by his first name Ms. Gray?" A barn-red haired woman said, her piercing lapis eyes staring from behind with her arms crossed over her chest as Priscilla whipped her head back in surprise.

“Ophelia! You surprise me" Priscilla exclaimed as her best friend chuckled at her expression.

“You should be grateful that it was me who heard you, if it was anyone you would have your ass out of this building by now" Ophelia said as she struts her away gracefully towards Priscilla who laughed awkwardly.

“I know, I know…" Priscilla stated as Ophelia nod at her.

“Now back to business, since you will be handling the investment contract then I will be working with you again” Ophelia stated as Priscilla laughed.

“Right, it’s like - It’s always the two of us who collaborate at work" Priscilla said with a smile as Ophelia roll her eyes and grunted in displeasure.

“Why is it they always use you as a scape goat whenever things don’t go there way? Then if you fail, they will blame it all onto you just so they could save their asses" Ophelia complained.

“Now, now. Don’t use the words asses they are unladylike, and besides I like working with you" Priscilla reprimanded as Ophelia roll her eyes one more.

“It’s not that I hate it, I am actually thrilled working with you. It’s just that if you fail, they’ll blame you for it and if you succeed, they will take all the glory and benefits that should have been yours to begin with" Ophelia pointed out as Priscilla sighed in defeat and nodded, she knew Ophelia was right about how she was being treated and how she was just taking everything like it didn’t matter.

“Don’t mind it anymore, let’s just talk about the plan tomorrow" Priscilla said as she sat back down in her chair and Ophelia sighed but nevertheless nodded and sat beside her.

“Rather than that, tonight we have a reunion with our high school batchmates, did you receive an invitation?" Ophelia asked with a sly smile, completely excited to see their batchmates again.

“I did, I was thinking of not going but if you want to go then I will too" Priscilla said with a smile as Ophelia shrieked and jump excitedly.

“Great, we’ll buy clothes after work then head home to glow up and make ourselves pretty" Ophelia said excitedly, she fished out her phone to scroll some dresses then showing it to Priscilla who laughed and nodded.

A few blocks away from the building they we’re in, stood a massive tall building with people coming in and out. At the top of the building resides the CEO’s office where young built black-haired man stood clad in formal suit looking out the gigantic glass wall that oversees the city streets.

“Sir. You have a meeting in thirty minutes" A dark grayish haired man behind him, presumably also his personal assistant said also clad in formal suit holding a clipboard in his hand and a bunch of documents in his other hand.

“How is my afternoon schedule like?" The black-haired man asks while the other one flipped through the clipboard checking his schedule.

“You have a meeting with Mr. Robane from Bling Enterprise at three in the afternoon, probably asking for you to invest in their product and you have a meet up with list of women to escort you tomorrow night at four in the afternoon onwards" The dark grayish-haired man said as the black-haired man look at him in the corner of his amber eyes.

“Wilfred, cancel all of them" The black-haired man ordered as the other one flinched in surprised, his admiral eyes widened in shock and shook his head disagreement.

“W-What? We can’t! Mr. Robane have been asking to meet you for months now, if we cancel them, they will surely send someone tomorrow night and seduce you!" Wilfred complained as the other one glared at him which didn’t affect him much.

“Like those lists of girls is not going to do exactly like that" The black-haired man complained as the other one sighed a heavy one, setting down the documents and his clipboard in the desk.

“Fine~ but at least have a partner by tomorrow, we can’t have the media publishing that you attended an event without any partner again, you know about how they perceived you as homosexual just because you always attend with me!" Wilfred complained as the man stare at him with dead eyes, can’t believe hearing those words from the mouth of his assistant. He walks back to his seat, his table full of documents that needed signing and a long plaque with words 'CEO EZEKIEL MICKELBERG' written on it.

“I mean the whole media is shouting the Ezekiel Mickelberg is Homosexual in all caps!" Wilfred exclaimed as the man named Ezekiel sent him a piercing glare which didn't affect the lad.

“I mean me! Of all people it had to be me who was partnered with you!" Wilfred continued as Ezekiel stare at him once more waiting for him to finish his rant.

“Are you done?" Ezekiel asks in a cold tired voice while rubbing his temples in irritation.

“Yes, sir!" Wilfred said after coughing awkwardly, trying to get his composure back.

“I will be attending a reunion later; I'm not saying I will bring someone tomorrow but I'll try" Ezekiel said as Wilfred cried tears of joy.

“Aww… you said the word try" Wilfred stated with a smile beaming of happiness as Ezekiel shot him a glare.

“You’re looking for a beating" Ezekiel threatened as he glared at his assistant who raised his hand in surrender, his eyes looking away from Ezekiel's amber ones.

“What has the Bling Enterprise been up to?" Ezekiel asks as Wilfred look at him confused.

“Currently?" Wilfred asks as Ezekiel nodded in response.

Wilfred took his clipboard, flipping through the pages for naught, he rummages through the mountain of documents that he put in his boss desk. Ezekiel on other hand stare at him dead in the eyes, wondering how long it will take him to find the report about his mother.

“Found it!" Wilfred exclaimed as Ezekiel grunted in response.

“Took you long enough" was all Ezekiel said as Wilfred recited his report and after both of them left for the meeting.
