Kelly is this kind of person that believes in this word that says"seeing is believing" she can be described as thomas in the bible. Thomas was a man in the bible who was told that jesus has risen from the dead but still could not believe untill he sees it with his own two naked eyes. Kelly and thomas are just alike in this aspect. Right from the start she never believed that such creatures exist and she wishes to see things for her self especially when she watches them in the movie and if possible, she would enter inside the television when that particular scene is being displayed.
Kelly and Mercy walked hand in hand to Miss fumi's shop to get some food to eat before their stomach will go berserk and that will look embarrassing to Mercy because she is a shy type. The way the two girls walked together will make a stranger conclude that the two girls were twin but maybe not identical because they dont look alike but they normally dress in the same outfit most times.
On their way to the lady's shop, kelly sighted a man from afar wearing a black leather trouzer and a black leather top with a black face cap, Kelly who saw the man from afar was not comfortable at all, she tried looking with concentration to see if she could see his face and luckily for her she actually saw his face clearly. Meanwhile the man who she was looking at was busy talking to some one beside him, it was as if the person who he was talking to bowed down to his last statement signifying that he heard his instructions.
Who is that man and why is he dressed like that, as if he is an assassin or something but he is cute any w...... before she could finish, she heared her name.
MERCY: Ke...lly what are you thinking? Dont tell me you are still thinking about those creatures? I have told you not to worry about it, i will ask my mother and what ever she says, i will let you know. Mercy did not notice what happened because her attention was in lady fumi's shop. She was very hungry that she could only see her self and kelly walking on the road.
KELLY: Okay dear i am sorry i have heard what you said and thank you for your concern, i will be waiting for your feedback. Kelly's mind immediately came back when she heard her name from Mercy's mouth, she acted normal as if she was really thinking about those creatures but few seconds later, she looked again at that direction but couldn't find the man.
They reached fumi's shop and ordered for the same meal. Fumi is a single young lady of 24years, a native of Yoruba but did not have the opportunity to further her education since her parents died and was thrown out of school because she was not meeting up with the payment. She then decided to opened a small shop where she sells food with the help of some good Samaritans who knew her story.
KELLY:please i need jellof rice, fried ripe plantain and meat with any fruit juice available.
MERCY : please i also need jellof rice, fried ripe plantain and meat with any fruit juice available. She looked at kelly as she smiled at kelly which kelly responded to her with a soft smile too.
FUMI: okay customers just give me few minutes make i go bring the food. She made those statements as she left them to bring the food.
KELLY: you are becoming so attached to me and i will not be surprise if you ask me to start living with you and your parent in your house but not only that, but also sharing your room with you. The two girls laughed at each other while they took their seat waiting for the food they ordered.
FUMI: customers: here is the food my customers, thank you oh because since, i never sell anything but i believe una go be goodluck for my market. She then placed the food from the tray where she held it and arranged it on the table with the food facing her two customers.
KELLY: thank you so much miss fumi. she took the spoon from where it was arranged in front of her and started devouring her food.
MERCY: thank you so much. She also took the spoon kept infront of her and started devouring her food as well. She ate like a lion who have not been fed for weeks.
While they were eating, kelly remembered the cute man she saw along the road but this time around she did not border if the man was suspecious or not, all she could think was just his cute face.
KELLY: before i forget, i saw a cute man on our way to this place and i think i like him.
MERCY: you saw a cute man on our way to this place and you think you like him?????? She repeated Kelly's exact words as she looked at kelly in a surprised way. Mercy was surprised because all the years she knew kelly, Kelly never talked to her about her liking a guy not only that, a stranger for that matter.
KELLY: stop looking at me that way please. You know what? Never mind just continue eating. Kelly said those words as she continued eating her food so that mercy will have no other option but to eat her food too.
When they finished eating, they paid their bills and left the change for fumi. The young lady was very excitedwhen she heard those words"you can keep the change". They left and went straight to attend lectures because they had just 10mins remaining. The distance from fumi's shop was not far at all, it was inside the school premise and that was what saved them because that lecturer does not take rubbish.
