"Maybe Kelcy should sleep outside for once then perhaps she would learn to remember her key." She jerked her head frustratingly toward the door and gritted her teeth.

It was already past midnight when Harper heard the front doorbell. Harper was sketching while waiting for Kelcy.

She closed her eyes and released a sigh when the banging on the door started. She tightened her grip around her pencil and then slammed the drawing board next to her as she stood up.

“Okay! Okay! I am coming! Keep your panties on, I'm coming- I'm coming!” Harper shouted as she stormed to the door and yanked it open.

“Kelcy, I swear to…”

Harper looked stunned at the scene in front of her. Kelcy her roommate and best friend were in the arms of an extremely handsome man. They were both in their middle twenties. Kelcy was the wild one between the two of them. She liked to party.

Harper narrowed her eyes as she looked him over. She nodded her head slowly, thinking to herself that Kelcy caught a good one tonight. Looking at his appearance. He had to be from a rich family. His perfect greyish eyes stood out the most. That alone would have any women mesmerized by him. His eyebrows were formed to perfection.

He was dressed in a black tux looking like he just came from an important meeting. His short black hair was neatly styled to the side. If demi gods did exist he would have counted as one.

Harper was stunned for a moment but then quickly recollected herself when she saw the amusement playing in his eyes, as he caught her checking him out. She cleared her throat and held the door open for him to walk past. She closed the door and walked back to the couch. As soon as she sat down, she noticed him standing in the hallway looking lost.

“First door to your right,” Harper yelled out.

He nodded, more to himself. It was not like she could see him, then he walked in the direction she gave.

Harper picked up her drawing board and continued. After a while she noticed a figure standing in the doorway. She glanced behind her and was astonished to catch him staring at her.

“Are you lost?” She asked as she turned her focus back on her drawing.

He ignored her question and approached her. Harper almost forgot his presence when he suddenly spoke from behind her. She jerked around causing the pencil to fall out of her hand unto the floor.

“You are in the wrong room!” Harper looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

He looked at her confused, then it dawned on him that she had read the whole situation wrong. “It's not what you think,”

Harper slowly nodded with a polite smile. She truly didn’t care but did not want to seem impolite. She turned around and places the drawing board next to her intending to pick up the pencil from the floor, but he has already walked around the couch and picked it up for her. He held it out toward her.

Harper, we're once again caught off guard. What the hell was going on? Why is he not in bed with Kelcy? They always come in, do their thing and leave, some stay until the next morning, and some leave right after.

“Miss. Lawner. It’s nice to meet you. I’m Noah Reeves.”

Harper looked stunned at his outreach hand that was holding the pencil. Then glanced up at him. She found herself fixated on his eyes. How can someone be so attractive? She had to pull her eyes away from him since she caught herself glancing at his lips and licking hers.

“Harper?” He called out to her as he tilted his head looking at her amused.

She was once again astounded. How did this guy know her name? But she chose not to dwell on it, as she quickly reached out to take the pencil from him.

“Thank you, Mr. Reeves” He held onto the pencil staring deep into her eyes.

“You can call me Noah,”

She frowned and then looked down at the pencil.

“Can you please let go now?”

He smiled at her as he released his grip on it, but not without sliding his finger over the bottom of her hand.

Harper felt the tingles that his touch left behind and it send goosebumps up her arm. She quickly took the pencil, cleared her throat awkwardly, and pulled her legs up on the couch. She picked up her board and tried her best to ignore him.

“Mr. Reeves. Is there anything I can help you with?” Harper asked as she kept her focus on her sketch,

“Noah - Please call me Noah,” Noah said as he glanced down at her.

Harper tilted her head as she gazed up at him, “Noah. Is there anything I can help you with?” She asked again.

Noah smiled at her but did not give her a direct answer. “Not at this stage.” He turned around and walked away.

Harper stared astonished at the direction he walk-in.

“What was that?” She asked herself.

She heard the click of the front door and knew he had left. ‘What a strange encounter.’ She thought to herself.

As Noah climbed into the back of his car his driver and personal assistant, Alden glanced at him through the rearview mirror.

“Sir, why did we take Miss, Zelman home tonight?”

Noah looked up at the apartment of the two girls.

“I had to. Kelcy had led me to the person I’ve been searching for.”

He could not get the image of her out of his head. It was not possible to forget those big blue eyes of hers. Her long beautiful brown hair hung in waves over her shoulders, and that hourglass body of hers just begged him to be pressed against that couch. Every part of her was breathtaking.

Alden frowned at his reply. He did not know what had gotten into his boss tonight. But he knew better than to ask any more questions, so he started the car and drove away.
