AS SUN SHINES BRIGHTLY, Samira and her friends decided to stay at the Grim Garden to spend their vacant time in the afternoon. They were just supposed to read some books or start talking about their thesis… but they got bored and decided to play ‘Truth or Dare.’
“Samira, your turn,” Tammy, one of the twins said and even clapped her hands when the mouth of the plastic bottle pointed at her.
“Of course, it’s DARE,” she answered.
Tammy and Sunny looked at each other which makes her frown. She arched her brow but the twins just flashed a mischievous smile.
“Before the game, we already agreed that if any one of us don’t say the truth or fulfill the dare, will pay 500 dollars, right?” Sunny asked.
Samira rolled her eyes. “I know. So?”
Sunny laughed and asked after, “Why are you so serious?”
“Why don’t you just tell the dare?” she glanced in her wristwatch and it’s already three in the afternoon. “We have classes at three-thirty. So, hurry up—”
“Excited?” Tammy raised her brow.
Samira didn’t respond and just glare at Sunny.
“Here, Mira, we dare you to kiss the enigmatic prince,” Tammy asserted which surprised her.
She frowned. “W-What?”
Tammy grinned. “I dare you to kiss the campus enigmatic prince—” she didn’t finish her words when Samira started to complain.
“There’s no way that I would do that dare,” she said.
Tammy and Sunny held out their hands in front of her. “Then pay us,” they said in unison.
She arched her left brow. “Where will I get 500 dollars?”
Tammy smirked. “Then do the dare. Besides, it’s just a kiss. You can kiss him on the cheek if you want—”
She let out a sarcastic laugh. “Do you think it’s that easy? I’ve been studying in this prestigious school for years. Rumors say it all how devil that guy is. Now, you want me to freaking kiss him?”
Samira shook her head. “That’s beyond impossible. Just change the dare—”
“Don’t be such a killjoy, Sam. It’s just a dare,” Sunny said and grinned.
She frowned. “You planned this, right? You knew that I always choose ‘dare’.”
This is not the first time that they play this game. For almost years being together in college, she knew that the twins had already memorized how she plays.
The two looked at each other and smiled. There’s something in their smile that she hates.
“You’re making fun with me out of this, huh?”
“What—No!” Tammy denied.
“Then WHY are you giving me that hard task?” she asked. She leaned her back on the bench and crossed her arms.
Sunny heaved a deep sigh. “If you can’t do it. You can pay us—”
Samira smiled, sarcastically, “huh! You two also knew that I value money. So, WHY!” Anger started to fill in her voice. She’s getting pissed.
Looking at her friends, they seem scared. ‘Serves them,’ she thought.
“I just want you to experience how to kiss someone,” Tammy uttered and slightly bowed her head. “We already have boyfriends; we also came to the third level—”
“Making out or having sex?” she cut Tammy.
Tammy bit her lower lip and looked at her, shyly. “Both.”
“So, you want me to do the same—to experience the same? God!” she massages her temple to calm her nerves. “And you think the dare of kissing Ace Dalton will help me? Gosh, you two have a naughty mind. Santa won’t give you gifts on Christmas.”
The twins’ eyes widened when they heard Santa’s name. Well, both of them are childish. And she doesn’t know how did she become friends with them.
“No! Santa loves us!” it’s Tammy.
“Yeah!” Sunny agreed with her twin sister.
“I’m always nice and Santa loves us if we’re being nice,” Tammy said.
“Me either. However, you didn’t always answer mom’s call. So, that’s not nice—”
Samira at that moment wanted to burst out. She really got crazy friends. Seeing the two arguing who’s nice between them. She stood up and was about to leave the garden when the two turned to her and glare.
Now, they’re being scary. She crossed her arms and arched her brow. “What? You two seem busy arguing whose nice blah blah blah,” she said and shrugged, “so, I thought it’s NICE for me to leave.”
“You didn’t do the dare yet. You can’t leave that easy,” Sunny asserted and pulled her arms and forced her to sit down.
She shakes her arm slightly to let go of Sunny’s grip. “I can’t do it! I will not do it!”
“Then, pay us,” Tammy uttered.
“I don’t have money.”
“Then, do the dare,” it’s Sunny.
“Ugh!” Samira scratches her head in annoyance. “Seriously? You still insist—”
She didn’t finish talking when Tammy cut in. “Yes!”
She heaved a deep sigh. “I will just do your assignment or even work on your thesis. Just… Just don’t let me do this stupid stuff!”
“I can do my assignments alone and can do my thesis, so are you Sunny, right?” Tammy asked and looked at her twin sister. Her twin nodded.
She heaved a sigh again. As they were graduating students, they need to pass a study for their thesis. And it’s individual. Knowing the lifestyle of the twins, it’s too blurry for them to do their thesis all by themselves.
“You got zero in the quiz earlier, Tammy. You only scored 1 out of fifty items, Sunny. I got a perfect score. Do you think you can have a high average when you graduated if you won’t let me help you?”
Sunny laughed and glared at her. “Look, smarty-pants, you don’t need to drag academic issues here and do the misdirection. We may not smart as you but we can sense your tactic. Unlucky you, you can’t fool us that easy,” she said and smirked.
Samira smiled but cursed inside her head. Great!
“So, do it, or do it?” Tammy asked and smirked.
Guess she can’t do anything but do it. If she pays 500—well she doesn’t have that amount of money right now.
She inhaled and exhaled to calm herself. You can do it, Samira! She cheered herself.
“Fine!” she gave up. “Just a kiss!”
The twins clapped both of their hands. “Bravo! Go, Samira!” they cheered and she just rolled her eyes on them and raised her middle finger.
“Aw, baby, if only we’re men, we may consider that as an invitation. You’re beautiful, got a perfect body, you got boobs—sadly, we all have flowers!” Tammy said and laughed.
“Fuck your shits!” she cursed.
She was about to walk when the twins stop her which makes her annoyed. “What?!”
“Wait for us. We need to see if you do it,” Tammy said.
She just rolled her eyes and started to leave the Grim Garden.
