Introduction
The greatest misunderstanding between them was when Gu Yuyan thought what he gave to Cheng Nuo was love. A piece of contract, a love affair, held captive a heart. When Cheng Nuo loved Gu Yuyan, it was rare to see sincerity. But perhaps, sincerity is like glass, it is rarely transparent and it shatters when struck. When she decided to set herself free, Gu Yuyan was unwilling to let go...

On a king-sized bed in a villa in City A, the spring spirit is overflowing, and passions run high.

Following a sweet seductive whimper, the ceaseless bodily activities finally came to a halt, leaving behind a room filled with soft panting, intertwined with the lingering scent of luxurious sensuality.

Cheng Nuo looked at Gu Yuyan who was about to depart after their sensual exercise, her eyes gleaming with complexities.

It's been three years since she signed a five-year servitude agreement with Gu Yuyan because of her mother's illness and started to stay with him. If in the first two years she could still remind herself that it's nothing more than a transaction, the changes in her emotions over the past year were beyond expectation...

From completing the task in a mechanical manner in the beginning to immersing herself into the river of desires with him over the past year, she feared that her heart must've already been handed over to him a long time ago!

"What are you thinking about?"

Cheng Nuo snapped out when she heard the voice, and looked at Gu Yuyan, who leaned against the door, and was only wrapped in a towel around his waist. She was unsure whether he had any sincere feelings towards her.

Seeing Cheng Nuo fall back into her thoughts after just coming back to reality, a hint of discontent flickered in his eyes. Gu Yuyan approached Cheng Nuo, fluorescence in his eyes captivated her inner soul.

He seated himself next to her, leaning towards Cheng Nuo's ear, the moist breath of his lightly brushed across her cheek, eliciting a slight shudder from her.

The insignificant bit of pain on her earlobe snapped Cheng Nuo out of her trance. She turned her gaze towards Gu Yuyan, the brief flicker of affection in her eyes piercing through Gu Yuyan's soul.

Without looking back, he abruptly stood up, and headed towards the walk-in closet.

Cheng Nuo failed to understand why Gu Yuyan was always so moody when they were together. She watched him leave for the hallway without a hint of remorse. Hastily, she got up, ignoring her disheveled appearance, quickly slipped on a shirt and dashed out of the bedroom.

"Gu Yuyan..."

She saw him putting on his shoes. He glanced back at her with an undeniable streak of impatience in his eyes. Cheng Nuo felt a bit overwhelmed but managed to put on a smile, and said, "Do you have time this afternoon? I... would like to invite you to an art exhibition."

Catching the hopeful look in Cheng Nuo's eyes, Gu Yuyan's mind reeled with moments from past similar incidents. Emerging from his bitter-sweet reminiscence, he looked at the nervous Cheng Nuo and teased, "A beautiful lady has extended an invitation, how can I not accept?"

Cheng Nu was staring blankly at Gu Yiyen, whispering timidly as if she couldn't believe it, "You... You agreed?!"

Gu Yiyen raised an eyebrow, patted his sleeve, and slowly walked towards Cheng Nu.

"Ah...!"

With wide eyes, Cheng Nu watched Gu Yiyen, who was at arm's reach, leaning in to kiss her. Her stiff body gradually relaxed, leaning back into Gu Yiyen's embrace. Just as she was running out of breath, Gu Yiyen let go of her reddened lips, instead leaving several hickeys behind as he nibbled and sucked at her neck.

"Gu Yiyen..."

A startled Gu Yiyen abruptly released Cheng Nu, letting her drop onto the floor. He gently wiped his own lips, shot a cold glance at Cheng Nu, and immediately walked out the door.

Heartbroken, Cheng Nu stared at the tightly closed door, her ears echoing with Gu Yiyen's parting words.

"Don't forget to take your pill!"

Cheng Nu got up and went back to the bedroom, opened her nightstand's drawer, and tightly grasped a pill bottle in her hand—inscribed on it was "Emergency Contraception."

Ever since she had been with Gu Yiyen, after each intimate encounter, he never forgot to remind her to take a pill. He didn’t want her to carry his child. As of now, to him, she was no more than a plaything!

She unscrewed the bottle cap, and her slightly shaking hand slowly poured one of the white pills into her mouth, swallowing it with a dry throat.

Cheng Nu leaned against the bed, bitterness filling her mouth. She continued to reassure herself, "It's okay, don't rush, he ultimately treats me differently from other women!"

Suddenly, she recalled that she had an agreement to meet Gu Yiyen at an art exhibition that afternoon. She quickly got up and headed towards the bathroom.

At the center of the art exhibition, people were bustling about.

Cheng Nu stood at the entrance waiting for Gu Yiyen's arrival, but one hour passed, then two…

She had been waiting so long that she didn't even know how much time had passed. Gu Yuyan still hadn't shown up.

Pulling out her phone from her bag, she dialed the number she has known by heart since three years ago.

"Beep, beep..."

"What's up?!"

Cheng Nuo, listening to Gu Yuyan's impatient voice on the other end of the line, felt her joy of the call finally connecting quickly dissipating. She asked in a whisper, "Where...are you?"

She could almost guess what Gu Yuyan's response was, but still stubbornly tormented herself by asking. Gu Yuyan fulfilled her wish.

"What does it have to do with you where I am?! "

"Beep..."

Cheng Nuo, listening to the mechanical voice on the phone, slowly put her phone back in her bag.

She had specially worn a yellow dress today, because Gu Yuyan had once said, "Yellow looks great on you."

Look, she really was foolish enough, taking Gu Yuyan's words as the gospel truth.

She silently entered the Art Exhibition Center, standing motionless in front of a sketch of a human face.

And that sketch was unmistakably of Gu Yuyan's face, and the signature at the bottom corner remained: OATH.
