“Miss James, now that the agreement has been signed, please take this medicine,” said a professionally dressed female secretary, offering two pills.
Rosie's body stiffened, and she remained motionless for a moment.
Her mother was ill and required 700,000 dollar for surgery. Her father had remarried, taken a wealthy woman as his wife, and since then, he had never concerned himself with the well-being of this mother and daughter pair.
So now, in order to gather the medical expenses for her mother as quickly as possible, she had to offer herself to a mysterious man for surrogacy.
“Miss James, rest assured, this is not poison,” the secretary said with a gentle smile. “Our boss just doesn't want to be seen in his true form, so he hopes you will be in a semi-conscious state when interacting with him.”
Rosie closed her eyes and swallowed the two pills in one go.
“Thank you for your cooperation.” The secretary nodded, took the documents, and exited the presidential suite.
Rosie sat alone at the edge of the bed for a while, holding her knees. A sense of dizziness gradually overcame her. It felt like she was drunk.
She slumped onto the large bed, her consciousness continuously growing confusing and blurry.
In the midst of it all, she felt a hot, scalding hand gently stroking her body. She shivered sensitively and curled up.
That hand firmly gripped her wrist, forcing her slender body to stretch out.
“Relax, I'll be gentle…” A deep, husky voice echoed in her ears. Delicate kisses fell on her forehead, carrying a strange, soothing magic.
Perhaps it was the effects of the two pills dulling Rosie's sense of alertness. She calmed down, relaxed, and softly responded to the man's movements.
Pain and intoxication filled her body. It felt as though her had fallen into a rollicking whirlpool, her body sinking and floating, rolling and falling, until she was ultimately lost...
Such nights continued for half a month.
Rosie was half-forced to stay in the presidential suite, where the female secretary took care of her daily meals and clothing. All were the most delicate five-star meals and luxurious clothes, with no signs of misgiving.
The mysterious man who showed up at night was also gentle and patient. Apart from the first time, he never let her feel any pain.
Moreover, judging by the man's voice, he wasn't old. She even sneaked a touch of his body—a muscular, strong waistline... and yet, he was so wealthy.
So many women must be lining up to be with such an outstanding man. Why would he choose to find her in this way?
To minimize trouble?
Indeed, he and Rosie were never destined to cross paths.
Half a month later, she successfully became pregnant.
The female secretary made new arrangements for her residence, in a standalone villa at a resort. As the baby came to term and the expected delivery date neared, she was sent to the hospital.
Three days after being hospitalized, Rosie gave birth to twins—a boy and a girl—via C-section. The babies were taken away as soon as they were born; She didn't even get a chance to see them.
She lay weakly on the delivery bed, her eyes tightly closed.
I'm sorry, my little ones, your mom didn't mean to desert you...
When the cesarean wound healed, the female secretary picked Rosie up from the hospital and dropped her off at her mother's rented house.
“Miss James, because you have given birth to twins, our boss has instructed that you be given an additional one million.” She handed over a card. “This card has a total of 1.3 million.”
Rosie shook her head, refusing to accept the card.
“I don't want this money. Since you only want one child, could you... return my daughter to me?” she pleaded, looking at the secretary.
The secretary looked embarrassed. “I'm sorry.”
Rosie lowered her eyelids, knowing the answer but unwilling to give up hope.
“I'll only take the remaining 300,000. Please return the additional one million to him.”
As Rosie got out of the car, she said through the car window, “And please, convey my message to him. I hope he will kindly raise our... no, his children well.”
