As his hands firmly gripped my thighs apart and his head bowed down between them, slowly slipping his tongue in me, my body thrusted upward while I gasped loudly in pleasure. He then brought his body up and over mine and positioned it where his lips could have locked with mine, his tongue now making its way into my mouth allowing it to brush over my tongue. In between the moments where we would unlock our lips for air he would whisper "you are mine - you are my world - I love you." All I could think of was that this is what I want - this is what I need.

I sipped my coffee while reminiscing on that dream, half dressed and staring out the kitchen window of our small but minimalist apartment. My gaze was broken by the sound of my alarm, it was 8:00am which meant it was time for me to leave. Got myself dressed, picked my bag up and gave a slight glance at his body lying asleep on the bed, contemplating if to whisper "I love you" or "I made you breakfast" or maybe both, would he even care?

The city.....always busy, always filled with people, always alone. It had to be my favorite thing about it. The fact that it is crawling with people day and night who barely notices the beauty of it. What can we say? Everyone is selfish. Even if they are the most charitable person, there is one thing that they, themselves, will never give up on!

Today was the first interview I was given since I started working at a publishing firm in Downtown Manhattan. As an aspiring journalist, this meant so much to me and obviously was a step up the ladder. Tana Young, my interviewee agreed to meet at Ost Café which happened to be convenient.

As the interview was finished my boss called, "Ms. Sommers, I presume that the interview went great" he greeted me with. Before I could give my opinion he chuckled out, "Tana sent me a message stating that she was very pleased with your personality, tone and friendly approach which is why I am handing my evening's schedule to you. I will be at the office working on that new project. Jade will email you all the details along with whom you will be meeting with, place time and contacts." He then slowed his tone, "I forgot to ask, are you wearing something appropriate for a dinner since my last interviewee, Dalton Ray will be meeting you at Dame for 7pm? he asked in a cheeky tone. With the flash headache I just received after hearing all this, "Yes sir, I am dressed appropriately, is that all?" was all I could have summed up. "Yes that will be all but be sure to be your best with Dalton since I am depending on him to carry this project.....call me if you need me," were the most seriously toned words that came out of his mouth.

All the interviews went as scheduled. I now had the last one for the evening with Mr. Ray. The evening was filled with laughter at every corner bar and the fresh, cool Autumn wind filtrated everywhere working together with the dazzling lights that dressed each building to create a serene scene that somehow felt so precious.

Dame was filled with people who all seemed to hold the moment at hand so dear but I knew as they walked out of the restaurant they would go back to their mundane life with taxes to pay in the morning. My judgmental observance was broken when a tall figure about 6'ft draped in a grey coat with glossy eyes and brunette hair that was neatly combed to reveal the sharp structure of his face. He had to be in his late 20's. My awkward stare was interrupted when the figure smiled and leant in to greet me, "sorry to startle you, are you Ms. Ivy Sommers?." I shook my head in confusion letting out a soft, "y-yes." He then offered his right hand, "Dalton, Dalton Ray. It's a pleasure to meet you."

The interview was carried out smoothly with moments where we both exchanged bits of who we are, our story and most importantly the reason behind being at this very moment but all what I gave was obviously a white lie I tell others and myself for appearance purposes. I do not know who I am....does anyone? Upon joining the laughter that I was surrounded by, I became one of them because I too had to return to my dull life the moment I walked out of here. No wonder they all were pinning the moment, unfortunately my moment was interrupted when I heard a loud shout. The voice was familiar, it was him. Reaching for my phone in the pocket of my coat, I realized that it was silent from all the meetings I had. Immediately my hands started shaking because I knew the accusations that were about to be made, followed by the shouting and insults. My cheeks turned cold with embarrassment and the thought of when this goes down, will I have my job in the morning? raced in my mind.

I asked Dalton for an excuse and approached him. He did not take my alarming stare as an invitation to continue this later or further away. Instead he proceeded in a rage, "SO YOU WERE OUT WITH A GUY OBVIOUSLY. I ALWAYS KNEW YOU WOULD CHEAT. NEXT TIME DO NOT ONLY PUT THE PHONE ON SILENT, TAKE YOUR LOCATION OFF AS WELL!" At this point my cheeks were freezing, my hands were shaking, all I could murmur was, "Jay I am sorry, I was caught up in interviews all day and this is my last interviewee. I was given it at the very last minute. Can we discuss this more later please?! I need to complete this, my job may depend on it." Without even taking into consideration what I just said, "GO AHEAD COMPLETE YOUR DATE BUT DO NOT MAKE EXCUSES" was all I heard after. All I could muster up in distress was, "I know it is my fault I definitely should have called and alert you." The waiter interrupted, "Sir, we will need you to leave. Your tone and conduct is bothering the rest of our customers." He gave the waiter a horrid look and then me, "You can stay with him tonight! Do not bother to come home!" Then he left.

As I turned to extend my apologies to Dalton, he was already standing tucking in a brown wallet into the inside pocket of his coat. Once my eyes met with his, he blurted out "Ms. Sommers, I do think we are done for tonight. The bill is covered. I will contact Anders in the morning" in a disappointed tone, shook my hand and walked out. At this point my thoughts were flooding my head. I could feel all the eyes on me. I stood there in silence, swooped my hair backwards with my hand and scanned the room, lastly, letting out a huge sigh.

Will I still have my job in the morning? Should I even be going home? What will happen if I go home? There is no way I can find a place to stay tonight. Should I call Z? Will he be awake? What if he is with his boyfriend? No. Just go home. How bad could it be? I was crossing the street with my head straight ahead with all of these questions crowding my mind, it took over and blocked the sound of the horn of the incoming vehicle.

When I woke up I was in the hospital. The vehicle must have hit me. A nurse dressed in a deep blue shirt and white pants entered, greeting me with a warm smile. Her smile somehow was the most valuable thing of the night. She immediately asked, "How are you doing dear? Do not worry there were no major damages. Just a couple bruises here and there. Thank god the driver was not driving fast." With not much thought, I managed to thank her. "Sandy is my name, I am going outside to grab the discharge papers and I will be back." After adjusting the IV connection, she left. In front of the bed there was a huge glass window that I somehow missed. Appearing on the outside of the window I saw a male figure. He was dressed in a black suit with a white shirt inside. A silver Rolex and ring on his thumb. Why is he staring at me? Why am I staring at him? Why are we staring at each other? Does he know me? Do I know him? Our stare was interrupted by a young nurse. Not Sandy. This one was fully clothed in white with her hair in a sleek ponytail. Through the glass I can hear the faint sounds of their conversation and in between they will both take turns to look at me. She was noticeably flirting with him but he just kept a straight, focused face through the entire conversation. Maybe he was not into her? Maybe he had a girlfriend? One thing she said about me that seemed to have caught his attention fully when an alarmed expression was painted on which led them both to enter the room. I immediately knew what she had to say to him.

As they entered without giving any one of them the chance to speak I asked in a harsh tone staring directly into the nurse's eyes, "IS EVERYTHING OKAY, DID ANYTHING HAPPEN?! She glanced at him as if she needed some kind of approval from him then at me stating in a kind tone, "Yes ma'am everything i-is okay, here is the paper work on everything, the results are all there. I will give you both some time. Let me know if there will be anything else. Goodnight Ms. Sommers." Then turned to him and placed her palm on his muscles and welcomed a bright smile, "Goodnight Mr. Allister. If you need anything else, you can meet me outside." He just nodded his head with his arms folded. When she left our eyes met again. The stare made me feel a knot in my throat but he broke the silence, "Ryker. My name is Ryker Allister," he started and dropped his hands, offering the right to me. "It was one of my cars that hit you. I am very sorry Ms. Sommers. I do assure you all the medical bills will be covered" What did he mean by one of his cars? I did not know what to say. His gaze at me was worrying, flushed and concerned. I was not sure if it was about me or something else but I knew he saw the results of the tests from when the nurse showed them to him outside and when she mentioned the thing that made his expression switch. So, he knew. He knew the one secret that I am keeping from everyone. This stranger knew the most important thing to me right now. The one thing that could be my ticket to freedom.

A knock on the door interrupted, a man dressed in complete black with an earpiece on his left ear entered. Shook his hand and looked him in his eyes as if asking for an approval of some sort. What approval is this stranger giving with his eyes? Who is he? Why did the nurse look at him in the same way and why is this secret-agent looking man doing the same thing? The man soon extended a hand to me, "Ms. Sommers, I am Leo. When you are discharged I will be driving you home." In confusion and surprise I laughed, "Driving me home? Why? Who the hell are you people!?" "Leo is one of my drivers. Since it was one of my men who hit you I insisted that we got you home safely," Ryker intruded. "Thank you for your kindness but I think I can find my way home." "I know you think so but-" I knew he was gonna say it. "Don't! I know and it is my problem to deal with, not yours. The accident was an accident. I will leave it at that. The medical bills will compensate for it but that will be all. I do not know who you are and why you are insisting people do things for you but I do not want anyone to do anything for me." Leo joined in with a subtle, genuine tone, "Ms. I do understand that you are confused but we are just trying to make up for our mistake. When you are discharged, you will still not be 100% well. Apart from Mr. Allister I, myself, insist that I take you home." His speech was not convincing but the results burdened my mind and I knew he was right. "Okay. I will take the drop home. Thank you!" I looked at Leo, his appearance was also concerned but somehow reassuring. "Good. I will be outside waiting." He nodded his head at me and then Ryker upon his exit. "I am sorry. Very sorry. I just came in and Harold, my driver, was on his way to get me at the airport. He called me immediately in distress and I made arrangements for him to bring you here as soon as possible. Harold extended his deepest apologies and asked me to let you know that he will be at your service to compensate for the damages caused," he tucked his hands in his pants pockets while not shifting his gaze on me. "Tell him his apology is accepted but next time be careful because the consequences can be worse."

NEXT TIME DO NOT ONLY PUT THE PHONE ON SILENT, TAKE YOUR LOCATION OFF AS WELL!"
