Introduction
"Darling, be brave. The pain will fade soon," Eric whispered tenderly as he gently applied ointment to his wife's wound. His voice was soft, coaxing. . . Eric was the aloof and noble eldest son of the Rogers family, while Susan was the pitiful girl who had been neglected by her father, framed by her stepmother, and deceived by a scoundrel and his mistress. Reborn, she could have chosen to punch the scoundrel, kick the mistress, and tear her stepmother apart. But no, none of that was the most important thing to Susan. She believed the most crucial task was to win back her husband's heart whom she had neglected and hated in her first life. But will Eric trust her now, after all she had done to him, in her first life? Will he be willing to let go of those old memories of her loving another man, and believe she had changed and now loves him?

As Susan groggily regained consciousness, a frantic voice reached her ears, "Susan, please be okay. What would I do without you?"

Her eyes fluttered open to reveal a strikingly handsome face, exuding a gentle and warm aura that instantly made him seem like the quintessential "nice guy."

Nathan, visibly relieved, softly inquired with a hint of anxiety, "Susan, you're awake! Thank goodness. Are you alright? Are you feeling any discomfort?"

"Mr. Kay?" Susan's voice was laced with venom as she shot up from the bed, her eyes cold and filled with murderous intent.

"How dare you show your face here? Why don't you just drop dead?"

Caught off guard by her hostility, a flicker of confusion crossed Nathan's eyes, but he quickly masked it with his usual warm demeanor.

"Susan, I know it's my fault that Miss Stern pushed you and caused you to get hurt. I should have disciplined her better. You can hit me, scold me, do whatever you want, but please don't be mad at me, okay?"

Seeing his insincere expression only fueled Susan's anger. She swung her hand to slap him, but Nathan, quick on his feet, caught her wrist mid-air. "Susan, what's wrong? Did Mr. Roger do something to you?"

Disgusted, Susan yanked her hand free and suddenly noticed something was off. Wait, why does Nathan look so young?

She glanced around the room, her confusion deepening. Why am I in a hospital? And... didn't I die?

Lost in her thoughts, Susan barely registered Nathan's concerned voice as he stepped closer. "Susan, are you feeling unwell? The doctor said you hit your head when you fell. Are you okay?"

Susan narrowed her eyes, puzzled. "Hit my head?"

At the mention of this, a look of guilt appeared on Nathan's usually gentle face. "I'm sorry, Susan," he said with a deep, sincere tone.

"Miss Stern, didn't mean it. I apologize on her behalf. Could you forgive her, for my sake?"

His voice was filled with emotion, and his gaze towards Susan was equally intense. He believed that given susan’s affection for him, she would surely choose to forgive him and let the matter slide.

However, Susan was still in a state of shock. Her eyes darted around in panic, taking in the surroundings that felt eerily familiar, as if she had been here before. Combined with what Nathan had just said, a sudden realization hit her.

Her pupils contracted sharply.

She had actually been reborn!

She had returned to the moment when Fiona had "accidentally" pushed her down the stairs, leading to her hospitalization.

Suddenly, a cold, piercing gaze came from outside the room. The intensity of that gaze was so overwhelming that Susan felt it immediately, as if needles were pricking her back. She turned her head towards the door.

Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at the man standing there, her vision gradually blurring with tears.

Outside the door, the man, noble and aloof, also saw her. His face, chiseled and handsome, carried a cold, almost indifferent aura. His deep, penetrating eyes were fixed on Susan, his gaze both icy and slightly puzzled.

Susan stared at the man, unblinking.

Eric, you're alive? Thank goodness, Eric.

You're alive, standing before me, whole and unharmed. This is truly wonderful!
