Introduction
On the eve of her wedding, she was forcibly abducted by him, her innocence violated, and compromising photos taken. During her wedding ceremony, he appeared out of nowhere, exposing those scandalous images to everyone. Her fiancé abandoned her on the spot. "What the hell do you want?" she finally snapped, unable to hold back any longer. "I want you to suffer—a fate worse than death," he hissed through clenched teeth, his voice dripping with icy cruelty. When love twists into hatred, when hope turns to despair—what else is left in this world worth waiting for? As the blade slit across the veins of her wrist, she knew, at last, she could be free... Miraculously saved, she managed to escape him and start a new life far away. Yet that merciless demon tracked her down across miles, cornering her against the wall. For once, his usual ruthless expression softened as he murmured, "Sweetheart, stop being stubborn. Come home with me." "Get lost. I never want to see you again." "Fine. Wherever you go, I'll follow—like a shadow you can't shake."

On a night of torrential rain, lightning streaked across the sky, and thunder roared ominously.

Halfway up the mountainside, a villa stood in complete darkness, its eerie silence amplifying the sense of dread.

A woman's voice, laced with fear and desperation, echoed through the halls as she pounded on the door. "Open up! Is anyone out there? Let me out, please!"

Only silence answered her pleas, but she refused to give up. "Let me out, let me out..." Her voice reverberated in the empty space, unanswered.

Her mind raced back to earlier that day. She remembered stepping out of the airport, ready to hail a taxi, when suddenly, someone covered her mouth and nose. She had lost consciousness and woke up in this pitch-black room, disoriented and terrified.

"Let me out, let me out..." The woman collapsed to the floor in despair. Tomorrow was supposed to be her wedding day. Who could have kidnapped her at such a crucial time?

Before she could gather her thoughts, heavy footsteps approached from outside the room. She scrambled to her feet and resumed pounding on the door. "Is anyone there? Help me, please!"

As soon as her voice faded, the door unexpectedly clicked open. A flash of lightning illuminated the room, revealing a pair of black leather shoes. Her eyes traveled upward to a towering figure looming over her.

"Who are you? Why did you kidnap me?" she demanded, rising to her feet.

With a sharp click, the room flooded with light. The woman's eyes widened in horror as she recognized the man standing in the doorway. "Zhan Yunfan? How... how could it be you?"

His dark, resentful eyes bore into her, as if piercing her soul. "Why wouldn’t it be me?" His voice was icy, his gaze chilling.

"Did you... did you have me kidnapped?" she stammered, her voice trembling. "Why would you do this? What do you want?"

"Why?" Zhan Yunfan took a step closer, his presence menacing. "Jian Yunxi, are you really going to play dumb with me?"

She instinctively backed away, her heart pounding. "I don’t care what’s on your mind. Let me go now, or I’ll call the police and report you for kidnapping!"

Zhan Yunfan let out a cold, mocking laugh. "You think I’d let you leave after bringing you here?" he roared. In a swift motion, he grabbed her wrist and flung her onto the nearby bed.

Jian Yunxi was thrown into a daze by the force of his actions. Before she could even gather her thoughts, Zhan Yunfan had already pinned her down with an iron grip, rendering her completely immobile.

"Zhan Yunfan, what are you doing?" she struggled, but it was futile. "I'm marrying your brother tomorrow. How could you betray him like this?"

"Hmph!" Zhan Yunfan sneered, his expression darkening even further. "Your mother destroyed my father. Did you really think I'd let you destroy my brother too? You're dreaming." His bloodthirsty eyes seemed ready to tear her apart, to devour her whole.

"My mother..." she tried to explain, but her words were abruptly cut off as he roughly silenced her. The sound of fabric tearing followed.

Terrified, Jian Yunxi knew all too well the hatred Zhan Yunfan harbored for her and her mother. In a desperate move, she bit down hard.

But instead of making him release her in pain, it only fueled his bloodlust, driving him to even greater madness. "Jian Yunxi, you brought this upon yourself. Once you're ruined, let's see how you'll face my brother with any dignity!"

Outside the villa, the rain poured down in torrents, and thunder roared incessantly, drowning out her cries for help and the chaos within the room.

If only she could turn back time, she would never have stepped foot into the Zhan household, nor would she have ever wanted to meet a demon named Zhan Yunfan!
