Wyatt's Point of View

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Wyatt, come out! You don't want to go out?!"

BANG! BOOGSH!

I jumped in surprise when I heard gunshots. I rubbed my eyes, and I searched myself to see if I was still alive. Good thing, I still am. But why did I hear gunshots? Is there a war? Is it the end of the world? I'm still a virgin; I can't die yet!

BANG!

I immediately covered my ears when I heard a loud bang again. When I turned to look at my door, I was surprised to see that it was riddled with holes. I clenched my fist and got out of bed. I walked towards the door and was about to shout when the door suddenly flew towards me, causing me to fall and the door to lie on top of me.

"Ugh, damn it! Who the fuck dared to break my door?!" I shouted.

Damn it. This door is so heavy, I can't move.

"You asked, who? Huh?" A man with a shotgun on his shoulder appeared.

My eyes widened when I realized that the man standing there was my grandfather. I thought he was sick, but it seems like he's not. He could still pull the trigger, you see.

"Oh, ha-ha!" While still lying on the floor, I scratched my chin and said, "Hi, Grandpa! Good morning?"

"Grandpa, my ass. Get up now if you don't want to have a hole in your chest!" He commanded.

Wow, my grandfather is scary. Haa, only if I know that grandpa will be coming home I already set an alarm. Why didn't my father tell me? Maybe he wanted me to die at the hands of my grandfather. He said to get up, but how could I if this damn door was lying on top of me?

"Grandpa, I can't move because of the door. Can you help me? Pretty, please~" I gave him puppy eyes and crossed my fingers to convince him.

He closed his eyes and sighed, "Morgan, come here and help my stupid grandson!"

"Yes, sir!" Morgan went into the room and removed the door on top of me.

I stood up and smiled at Grandpa. "Thanks, Grandpa! You're the best!" And I gave him a thumbs up.

"Put your finger down if you don't want me to cut it. Take a bath and fix yourself to go to school. Aiden has been waiting for you downstairs for a while," grandpa said.

Oh, Aiden?! I missed my best friend.

Today is our first day of school in college. I went to Switzerland for vacation, so now Aiden and I will meet again. Did he grow taller? When we were young, he was taller than me, but when we came to high school, I was taller than him. I used to cry more when we were kids, but now if you just tell him something isn't good, he's going to cry. It was as if our personalities were reversed, but even if my best friend is a crybaby, he is still strong.

I took a bath, and after that, I fixed myself and went downstairs. I waved my hand when Aiden noticed me coming downstairs. But instead of waving his hand as well, he just gave me a poker face and averted his gaze.

Wow, didn't he miss me? That hurts me, huh.

I sat beside him and wrapped my arm around his shoulder, asking, "Why are you ignoring me? Didn't you miss me even a little?"

"What took you so long?" He asked.

Okay, he ignored my question.

"What took me so long to come back?" I laughed, "Like I thought, you missed me."

His eyes twitched, and the edge of his lip rose. I guess he didn't like it, huh?

I stood up and messed my hair up, "Aish! Why are you in such a bad mood? You should smile every morning so you won't look old."

d the way.

Wow, it's still hard to understand him. Woah, seriously, how did we become friends?

I heaved a sigh and just followed him from behind. Okay, I'll forgive him for ignoring me today since I missed him.

Aiden is an introvert. He doesn't like hanging out with a group. He hates crowded places. He also doesn't like parties or crowded places, but sometimes he comes when I'm with him. He likes studying. He lives alone in the condominium bought by her mother. His father died in the accident, his mother is working abroad, and she isn't pushing him to study hard, but he still does it. Unlike me, my family wants me to have high grades, but I still don't study hard.

In conclusion, we're totally different.

He wants to study hard, but I just want to play games in life. He also doesn't smile often. I'm popular, but he didn't befriend me just because of that, unlike the others. And he's always alone until I approach him.

Some of the students in our school will just approach me for Aiden. And that hurts me. Like, how dare they approach me just to ask about my best friend if they can just talk to him? But of course, I know the reason why they can't. Aiden has no interest in anyone. If you confess to him, he will just stare at you until you decide to walk away. Why do I know? Of course, that has already happened! Someone talked to him and took him to the garden; I followed them there, and I heard the woman confess while Aiden was just staring at the girl. I can't understand him at that moment, that was his chance to have a relationship, but he just let it go. And since then, no one confesses to him about their feelings anymore.

Aiden is cute; I can't deny that. He's even cuter when he smiles.

"Hey," Aiden said, tapping my shoulder.

I turned to him, "Why?"

"We are already here. Why haven't you come down yet?" He asked.

I looked outside, and that's when I realized that we were really in front of the school.

I scratched my head and turned to my best friend. "Sorry, babe."

His face soured, and he pushed me away, saying, "Hurry." He said.

I just laughed and came down.

The time passed by quickly, and it's already time for lunch.

"Let's eat together, Wyatt!" Jacob wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"Yeah, sure," I said.

"Let me join!" Yuan said, chasing us from behind.

"I'm in!" Hans asked, who's with Yuan.

"Fine, fine," I replied.

I took out my phone from my pants pocket while we were walking to text Aiden to come have lunch with us. But I couldn’t when dad’s name suddenly appeared on the screen. Why is he calling me?

I excused myself from Jacob and others so that I could answer the phone, and I told them to go to the cafeteria so that we didn't run out of seats.

"Yes, dad?" I asked as soon as I answered the call.

"Where are you? I will fetch you," he said.

"Uh..." I looked around, "I'm at the school right now, dad. What's the matter?"

"Your grandpa..." I heard him sigh, "He was hospitalized again."

"What?!" My brows furrowed. "What hospital, dad? I will go there now; just text me the location, okay?"

"Okay, be careful on your way," Dad replied before he ended the call.

I ran back to the classroom and patched up my things. After that, I went out of the classroom and ran hurriedly. Before I left the school, I texted Jacob first to let him know that I could not eat with them. I also said I was going home because I was feeling sick.

Damn it! Old man, please carry on!

I arrived at the hospital in thirty minutes. I ran to the old man's room, and I wanted to punch myself when I saw him dancing while listening to his favorite K-pop group. Mom and Dad were nowhere to be found.

Goodness, why did I bother to come here? Aish!

"Oh, look at my one and only grandson who hasn't introduced a girlfriend to us yet," he laughed before he approached me and hugged me.

"Arg, let go of me," I uttered. "Did I really come here just to see you dancing?"

He removed his arms that were hugging me, "Oh, do you really have the courage to show me a frown?"

I sighed, "What happened this time? Did you eat pork fat again?"

He looked away and pretended that he didn't hear anything. After a few moments, he laid down and gestured for me to approach him. I heaved a sigh before I walked toward him.

"What is it this time?" I asked with my brows furrowed. "Don't tell me this is about what you told me last time."

"Ugh~" he groaned, "I think I'm going to die soon. Ouch, it hurts." He said this while touching his head.

"Stop acting!" I uttered.

He sighed. "Don't you have a girlfriend?"

My brows twitched. Argh, here we go again with the girlfriend's conversation. Every time he was hospitalized, he had nothing to say but "girlfriend." Aish!

I scratched my head and looked away. "Of course I have!" I lied.

"If you really have one, send her here now," he said.

I closed my eyes and pinched my nose. "Aish! I don't have one, and I don't want to have one. I'm not interested."

"I'm dying, and I won't be able to see your future wife. Poor me~" He covered himself with the blanket.

"F-Future wife?" I stammered, "I'm still too young for that, grandpa!"

"You're nineteen!" He said.

"Yes, and I'm still a teen," I replied, nodding.

He smiled and said, "You're going to be twenty next month."

"Aish!" I messed up my hair. Goodness, I don't know what to say to this old man anymore.

"Wyatt," he sat down. "Find a girl and introduce her to us on your birthday. How about that, hmm?"

"I don't want to," I said, turning around so he was now facing my back.

"I won't take my medications if you won't," he muttered, which made me turn to him.

"Arg, what's wrong with you? Why are you forcing me to have a girlfriend?"

"I'm not forcing you," he said as he lay down again. "If you don't bring a girlfriend on your birthday, I will die."

"Huh?" My brows furrowed. "Arg, fine!" I gave up.

What's with "I will die"? Haa.

Dang it. No matter what else I say, my grandfather will not stop, so it's better to give up.

"Oh, really? You can't take back your words," he smirked.

Haa, fine. Yes, whatever you say.

When mom and dad came back from buying food for Grandpa, I left because I was just stressed out by my grandfather. They bought food for him because he doesn't like the food given by the hospital.

Instead of going home, I headed to Aiden's condominium.

Aiden's Point of View

Ding Dong!

Ding Dong!

I got up and went to the door. As soon as I opened the door, Wyatt hugged me.

"What's wrong?" I asked and caressed his back, "I went to your classroom earlier to go home with you, but Jacob said you texted him saying that you were sick. Is that true? But you're not hot."

He sighed. "I went to the hospital, and Grandpa wants me to have a girlfriend," he answered.

"Pick one of your admirers, then," I replied. "Getting a girlfriend is not hard for you."

He let go of me, "Should I hire one? What do you think?" He asked.

I turned my back and went to the living room, "Why are you asking me?"

He hugged me from the back, which made me startled. "Help me~ hmm?"

I removed his hand from hugging me and sat down on the couch, "You have a lot of money, so what you thought isn't bad. But... isn't it better if you really love your girlfriend?"

He sighed, "I'm not really interested in anyone. Grandpa just really wants me to introduce someone to them, and it should be on my birthday."

"Uh-huh?" I looked at my workbook. I can't find a word to say to him.

"Is that only your response?" He asked and sat down beside me.

I turned to him and asked, "What do you want me to say?"

He closed his eyes and pinched his nose, saying, "Haa, nevermind. You are going to help me find a fake girlfriend, right?"

"Huh?" My left brow arched. "Who told you that? I won't. Find another."

"Ahh, please, Aiden~" he clung to my arm, "We're best friends, right? So, help me! Just this once, hmm?"

I sighed, "Ask Jacob, Yuan, or Hans. I'm busy."

"You're always busy," he said, withdrawing his hand. "I'm just asking for a favor, and you can't even grant me one."

Ugh, this guy.

I heaved a sigh and said, "Fine."

His face lit up. "Really? Really, Aiden?"

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, don't make me repeat it. I might take it back."

"Okay!" He stood up and said, "What do you want for dinner?"

"Huh? Don't tell me..." I stared at him.

"Yeah, yeah," he nodded. "I'm going to sleep here."
