The warm sunlight tilted into the balcony, the water droplets on the recently watered pots of flowers and plants were crystal clear. Mu Anran, dressed in casual clothes, had swaddled herself in a rattan chair. Earplugs stuck in her ears, hands holding one of the most popular novels recently, leisurely preparing to spend some rare free time.

The sun illumination against her fair skin reflected a radiant shine. Under her long eyelashes, a pair of big eyes focused intently on the book in front of her. Being surrounded by lush greenery, this beautiful creature seemed to blend in, blurring the line between a human and a fairy.

The song in her earplugs had already looped countless times by the time she flipped through the last page of her book.

Stretching lazily, she got down from the rattan chair barefoot. As her slender, pale feet walk across the floor, each step seemed to spring forth a lotus flower. She seamlessly walked barefoot from the balcony to her bedroom, casually starting to change her clothes.

Thirty minutes later, she had donned on a flowy Bohemian dress, a pair of black sunglasses, and eight-centimeters high heels - making a graceful entrance at a nearby shopping plaza.

Her destination clear, she headed straight to the second floor, towards the shoe section.

A new line of Manolo Blahnik would be launched today and that was Mu Anran’s target!

The beautiful sales assistant, familiar with Mu Anran, saw her and naturally presented the new pair of shoes. "You came a bit late today, this is the last pair left. But it happens to be just your size."

Mu Anran smiled, about to try on the shoes, when a hand reached out from the side, grabbing the shoes from the sales assistant.

"I didn't expect to still catch the last pair!" A woman's surprised voice echoed.

Mu Anran just stood there, stupefied, watching the woman who unexpectedly took the shoes away.

The woman with mixed Western and Eastern features had exquisite features and a slender figure, with a playful smile on her face. Mu Anran’s gaze lingered on her for a moment before shifting to the man beside her.

A tall and handsome figure, profound features – it was astounding to Mu Anran to see the renowned Ye Corp president accompany a woman for shopping. What shocked her more was the smile on Ye Feimo's face.

His usually cold eyes now held warmth. Mu Anran thought she had seen wrong, but quickly dismissed that thought. Indeed, what his eyes carried was what people now call a "gentle touch".

It was unimaginable to her that this man could also have a warm side. This man, who was as cold as frost in bed, surprised her with his behavior today.

Because she was so shocked, she just stood there, staring as the beautiful woman put on those shoes, watching as Ye Feimo complimented her with a smile, and finally watched as they packed up the shoes that should've been hers to take away.

"I'm sorry!" The salesperson's voice brought her back to reality, "I didn't expect our Chairman to bring someone here, so…"

Mu Anran smiled and turned around, she definitely didn’t forget that this shopping mall was Ye Feimo's territory. Though she regretted not buying those shoes, she wasn’t the type to get easily upset. More importantly, she was hungry now.

Mu Anran entered the Indian restaurant on the eighteenth floor and took a seat by the window. After ordering her meal, she began to admire the city's street view. From the eighteenth floor, life was a different scene. Watching the constant stream of people and cars, she felt a sense of loneliness she had never experienced before.

The meal she ordered was quickly served. Mu Anran wrinkled her brows as she looked at the brightly colored curry rice on her plate; she didn’t really like curry rice. Ordering curry rice was simply a way to train her ability to accept things.
