Joshua's POV

Many of us would try to fit in just to gain lots of friends. That is not who I am. I want to be who I am. Just be the best version of myself. No one can force me to fit in, where in fact my principle is against it. No one but me alone, who can decide when, to who and where to belong. I am still lost in the imaginative world when everyone starts to scream as if an actor or actress comes to pass by.

I saw Gina, she is facing towards that direction together with everyone. I wonder why, so I also gaze. It was our new classmate from one of the famous private school here in the Philippines. Not new to her, she's been doing that every time a new transferee arrives. She is also friendly and it fits here to act such a thing.

"Look, everyone! She is so hot!" utters Josh, my cousin. His always reaction is like that. He is like a forest boy even up until now, even in our 14th year of age,

Hmmm... I can't stop you guys. I told to myself in a whisper.

Oh! Here comes my chubby best friend, Kyle. He's silent but do not misunderstood his silence, or eruption will occur in a sudden. No one can escape from his hot lava if his world does not circulate well.

He comes nearer and nearer.

"You don't want to go with everyone?" He asks me with curiosity inside his eyes.

"Nope." I answered him immediately.

"Why?"

"She's not my type, dude."

"And..?" He is waiting for me to answer, but I excuse myself.

"I am sorry! can't answer that for now. I think, I need to go to the john." I tap his shoulder then I started walking.

"Toilet? Again?" This man is crazy. "Don't you have any excuse?"

"This is not an excuse, dude. It is for real."

He can't force me to say anything. I left him with question why I am always against those girls, every time they will arrive here in our school.

Grade 7 life is always interesting. I find no enjoyment with those girls, so it is good to just mind my own business. Nothing will be taken from me if I don't give them attention. It's their lost.

This mirror is crazy like those girls. I told myself.

"That mirror needs replacement, Josh." Gabriel just comes in like a shadow.

"I am not Josh, I am Joshua."

"It's a shortcut for Joshua, ya know, Josh." Grrr. He is always making fun of me. But never mind, it is nothing.
