In the Presidential Suite.
In the dimmed room, sitting on the bed was Susan Warren, hugging herself tight and shivering.
Suddenly, the door swings open. Cedric Reid, tall and well-built, strides in from the entrance. He reaches for the light switch just to find the lights were out.
This was all a setup.
Susan gasped as she hopped off the bed. She wrapped her shaky arms around Cedric's neck, stood on her tiptoes, and pecked his cheek nervously.
Without warning, Cedric's firm hand grasped the back of her head, leaving her unsure of what was coming next.
Before she could pull back, she felt Cedric's lips, laced with the potent smell of liquor, seize hers in the darkness.
"Mmm." She was muted by the kiss.
Her mind blanked out.
His unfamiliar, bracing scent infiltrated her senses.
His imposing, intense kiss robbed her of her senses, leaving her lightheaded and overwhelmed. He pushed her onto the bed, his kiss swarming and dominating hers, leading her into a fervid cuddle.
The events that followed were clear.
Tears began to roll down her cheeks in the darkness.

Two nights before, at the hospital.
In the hallway, Susan tugged George Warren's arm tearfully, "Daddy, please, save Mom. She's in dire condition."
"Your mother can't be saved." George coldly tried to shake her off.
"Yes, she can be. The doctor said the operation is just a million bucks. Daddy, please help us." Susan begged, her face soaked in tears.
George clenched his teeth, pulling Susan closer, peering into her tear-filled eyes. He leaned over and whispered, "Susan, you'll have to promise me something if you want me to save your mother."
"Anything. I promise." She was ready to agree to anything that would help her mother.
"I'm aware you're a sweetheart, you must have heard about your sister being engaged to Reid Group's heir, haven't you?"
Susan, clueless of her father's point, blinked back her tears, "I have."
"Reid has a thing for virgins. Your sister isn't one anymore, so you'll have to take her place and offer yourself to him."
Susan considered her father with fear, "Please, no, Dad." She implored.
George tightened his grip on her, his demeanor chilly, "Agree, and I will hand over the cash immediately. In three days, your mother could still possibly be saved."
Susan's eyes flickered with worry, she held her breath and said, "Okay, I promise you."
