“Seduce him. Make him fall in love with you.”

Carly stared at the smiling dark-haired man in the distance, every ounce of confidence she just managed to summon shattering immediately. This was definitely a hallucination, right?

Because why was she looking at Alexander Lennox?! This was the man she was supposed to seduce?!

Some days ago…

“Carly, sweetie, I need money… your old man’s in a bit of trouble again…”

Again.

There was no one in the world more familiar with these words than Carly. Her ‘old man’ was a gambling addict—this was a fact she knew too well.

She tried everything to make him stop, therapy, finding a new hobby, you name it. And he'd promise to stop, but within a month, he’d be right back to it, dragging along a fresh pile of debt.

A pile of debt always ended up being her responsibility. She loved her dad, but it was honestly exhausting.

Taking a deep breath, Carly tried hard to stay calm. “Dad… I told you, I just got a new job. I haven’t even received my first paycheck yet. The last money I had was used to pay off what you borrowed from Mr. Spencer. I don’t have anything left.”

“No, sweetie, you have to help me. I—”

Beep. She cut the call. It was no use, he would give the same old excuses about why he needed the money. And she did not want to hear any of it.

But still.... she couldn't just abandon him.

Her dad wasn't always like this; he'd completely fallen apart after her mum passed away. And she couldn't just let him sink even further. So, she’d pay. Again and again.

But now, where was she supposed to get the money?

She'd just gotten her job and had barely even worked a couple weeks, there was no way they would hand her an advance on her salary.

What was she supposed to do now?

"Ugh..." She groaned already feeling an oncoming headache.

Suddenly, she noticed someone staring at her quite intently. She glanced at the person dressed in an hoodie with oversized glasses covering most of their face feeling that they were a bit familiar.

The person stood up and approached her table, sitting opposite her before pulling their glasses down to reveal a familiar face.

Carly’s eyes widened slightly as she realised who it was. Madison Fletcher, a really attractive actress who became famous a couple years ago and quite the hot topic.

Why was she... here?

Madison peered at Carly curiously, gasping. “You really do look like me!”

Carly paused and raised her eyebrows. "Excuse me?"

Madison seemed to realise how odd her behaviour was and apologised. "I'm sorry, I was supposed to introduce myself. I'm Madison." She said putting her hand out.

Carly shook her hand unsure of where this was heading to. She didn't have to think for long though, as Madison went directly to the point.

"Well, I overheard your call. Are you in need of money?"

Her question was very abrupt and Carly frowned, displeased.

"I don't get where this is going."

"Well, I have an offer for you. And it might be a bit respectfully but I need you to seduce someone—"

And this someone was the man she was living at right now. Alexander Lennox, one of the famous Lennox brothers and.... her boss.

Yes, her boss.

The company she just got a job at was owned by him and his brother. And barely weeks after getting the job, here she was on a mission to seduce her boss and get him laid. How exciting.

[He looks really good, right? You just have to go up to him and he won't reject you. Don't be timid!— Crazy Lady]

Carly stared at the text suddenly feeling the urge to return the deposit she received and walk back home like this never happened. However, she'd already sent the deposit off to her dad to clear his debts.

There was no turning back now.

She grabbed her drink and downed it, eyes locked on him.

Come on, Carly. It’s not that hard. Seducing your boss—easy peasy. Right?

---

"Um... What's up with her? She's been staring at your brother for hours now."

Chris glanced over, his eyes immediately locking on the auburn haired woman seated by the bar. She drank glass after glass, all while staring fixedly at his brother.

His first assumption? She was probably one of Alex’s ex-lovers—an obsessed one for sure. And it wasn't a surprise at all.

Alex was quite the skilled heart-breaker, ending things in such a polite, gentlemanly way that left the girls hung up on him. He was a real bastard but these girls didn't seem to notice that.

Well, that was Alex's business.

He looked away, turning his attention to the woman who draped herself over him, her hand caressing his lap. She smiled up at him when she noticed him staring, her shoulders pushing her already exposed chest forward making it seem like it was about to pop out of her dress.

"What do you say we head upstairs, Mr Lennox?"

Her other hand moved to his chest, lightly drawing lines with her fingers as she pressed up against him. He could feel a slight trembling from her.

"I know how to have a good time..."

He remained silent, cold gray eyes fixed on her and he could see her obviously become anxious. He sighed and grabbed the hand that was already straying too far, bending down to whisper in her ears.

"Tell the old man I said hi."

Then, he released her wrist and stood up not even bothering to spare her panicked expression a glance. He'd have to do something about this.

The old man had to stop sending girls to ‘awaken’ his desires every time. It was very unpleasant.

Back at the bar, Carly was… well, drunk. This wasn't the initial plan, but for this, getting drunk seemed very necessary.

However, where was her target?

Her world swayed, as she blinked around the room, she realized her target had disappeared. Had she lost him already?

She stood up, glancing around, remembering that Madison has said his room was on a specific floor.

She staggered clumsily to he elevators, pressing the button and making her way to the right floor. Luckily, as soon as she stepped out, she spotted a man unlocking a door, and immediately felt relieved.

This was him.

“Oh, there you are,” she called, with a smile in her voice. She hurried over, and hooked her arms around his neck. “I’ve been looking for you,” she slurred, “thought I lost you…”

The man’s grey eyes met hers, one eyebrow raised. “Excuse me?”

She didn't bother with whatever he was saying, her eyes right on his lips. This was her job, seduce this man and it'll all be over.

"Gosh, stop moving, I need to kiss you."

He paused watching her with an unreadable expression. “You sure you got the right person?”

“Uh-huh,” she murmured, stumbling a bit as she moved closer, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Now, stop talking so much."

She tilted her head up and placed her lips on his, clumsily trying to kiss him. After a while, she pulled back pouting slightly. “Why aren’t you… doing anything?”

He paused, his brows raised in amusement. "Don't anything?" He chuckled, "And what am u supposed to be doing?"

“You’re supposed to…” She hesitated, cheeks flushing. “—you’re supposed to kiss me back.”

He didn’t respond immediately, just held her gaze, steadying her. "Is that so?" He asked, a smile in his voice.

"Of course!" She huffed. “If youre just going to stand there, then at least make yourself useful.”

A smile shone in his grey eyes and before she could react, he lifted her effortlessly, pressing his lips against hers in a kiss that took her breath away, pulling her closer, deeper.

She could feel herself melting against him, her hand grasping his shoulders as he deepened the kiss. She'd never been kissed like this—like she was about to be completely possessed. And for a moment, she felt like running away.

He let go of her lips and she panted, trying to catch her breath. His lips trailing down her neck and across her shoulder and the desire that rocked through her was honestly frightening.

But then.... he stopped.

She blinked, breathless, looking up to meet his stormy grey eyes and her heart raised as he moved closer to whisper.

"Well, dear, do you still need help?"
