"SEB, HOW DARE YOU?!" six years old Silver chased her twin, who was a laughing fit.

The Vladimirs were at a Carnival. It was the younger twins' birthday. And they didn't want something grand. So they came here to celebrate. Alessandro, the eldest son, had suggested buying the Carnival. Because Santiago Vladimir's offsprings were still young. And unfortunately, their mother was murdered a couple of years ago.

Yet, the younger ones fancied having fun like common people.

Though that doesn't mean Santiago didn't have disguised security men around. But it was out of his knowledge that one of them was traitorous.

That he had the whole security system crumbled down.

That he had himself invited the fox disguised as a sheep among the herd.

Santiago was busy buying ice cream with Nicolas and Dimitri. While Alessandro was running here and there to take care of Silver, Sebastian, Delfino, and Zach. And that's when the devil decided to strike.

Alessandro had just gotten his hands on Sebastian and Delfino. However, when he turned to call Silver and Zach back, he realized they were nowhere in sight. And that was a very bad sign.

"Silly? Zach?"

He frantically looked around, calling them. But it seemed impossible to find two small six and four years olds in that crowd.

"PAPA! COME HERE!"

Alessandro had already started panicking when Santiago came rushing with Nicolas and Dimitri in his grip.

"What happened?"

"I-I c-can't find Silver and Zach," Alessandro was on the verge of crying. His heart was beating fast and his hands were shaking. Never once in his lifetime, this type of incident took place.

After their mother had passed away, Alessandro always took good care of his siblings and never let them stay out of his sight. But now, Silver and Zachary, the youngest ones, were missing. The ones who were the main target of almost every other underworld association except their allies.

"Don't worry, Ales-"

"PAPA! THERE!" Delfino shouted, pointing at something.

They turned and saw a man dragging Silver and Zach in amidst the crowd. Zach was looking unconscious while Silver was crying and striving to get out of his hold.

"Take care of the kids," Santiago hurriedly said to Alessandro and ran behind that man. He was trying to call his men who were supposed to be around, but no one was picking up.

"PAPA!" Silver screamed as she had spotted her father and was trying to reach him with her small hands. But they nevertheless had a huge distance.

Santiago ran as fast as he could and was just about to catch him when someone hit him hard on the back of his head with a rod.

"Ahhh," he groaned and collapsed on the ground. And strangely, the crowd around him did nothing. Black spots started clouding in his vision.

His mind was racing. He was scared within.

Someone was taking his princess away.

He was on the verge of breaking the promise to his wife. The promise he had made to Ximena's grave. That he'll always protect his babies and keep them together and safe. Dread filled the inside him. His heart was breaking into a million pieces.

He tried to get up only to fall back to the ground again.

He failed to protect his family. He failed to protect his daughter. He failed to protect the most prized possession that once was his love's.

And the darkness slowly started consuming him. The invisible demons surrounding the family, bringing ill fate to them. While Silver and Zach were unknowingly sent to hell.

Though she had been born with a silver spoon in her mouth, fate dragged them to its palace of nightmares and played with their life. As if they were rag dolls. As if they were worth nothing. As if they were just another couple of unwanted creatures in this world.

Silver had a pure strong soul, just like her mother. But years of torment and abuse polluted it with its vices, giving dawn to a killer machine. The strength slowly found its way to escape the cage made of burning emotions. A different Silver created herself once again in a new form to protect the only family she had left, Zachary. She did everything she could to protect him.

And when she realized she couldn't just let her brother's life rot in that smelly old torture cell they were kept locked in for years, she escaped with Zach. Far from her destroyers' reach. Far from the starting point of the beast inside her.

And struggling to keep the balance right between herself and the psychotic murderer inside her, Silver wants a safe life for her family and she's ready to pay any price for that. Even if that means jumping into the fire willingly, she'll do it without thinking twice.

Because she wasn't born to have a normal life, she was born to make things right. And she'll do it without any hesitation for her loved ones.

Because she's Silver Vladimir.

She has a kingdom to protect.
