Elsa's POV

"Congratulations, you're pregnant!"

The Doctor's words echoed in my mind, leaving me stunned. I clutched the edges of the hospital bed, trying to process the news. My thoughts swirled, bouncing between disbelief and excitement. A baby... I was carrying a life inside me, a cold and ruthless Billionaire's child. Despite everything, the idea filled me with a strange, fragile hope—maybe this could change things.

I looked down at my stomach, a hesitant smile breaking through. This child could be my chance at a fresh start, a reason to hold on to something real, even if my marriage wasn't what I had once believed it to be.

As I stepped into the hallway, my moment of joy was abruptly shattered. A familiar face caught my attention.

"Liam." He was Liam, my husband. He was slipping into a VIP room, his posture tense and purposeful. A wave of confusion washed over me. Why was he here? Was he here for me? Curiosity tugged at me, so I followed him. Through the glass window, I saw him. He was speaking with a doctor, and their voices drifted through the crack in the door.

"I've already told you. Ria needs a kidney transplant now. We can't wait any longer. Bring the donor quickly—Elsa should be here, why are you delaying? Remember, you marry her for that purpose." My breath caught in my throat.

"Was I... was I married just for a kidney?" I whispered to myself, disbelief and confusion washing over me. My eyes stung with the sudden onset of tears.

"I haven't talked to her about it yet," Liam's voice responded his tone calm and measured. Tears welled up in my eyes. It all made sense now. I wasn't his wife—I was a means to an end. A pawn in their twisted plan.

"Well, you'd better hurry. We can't hide this from Ria's brother much longer. He's already suspicious and…." I couldn't listen anymore, I needed to escape—fast. I slipped out the back door, barely able to keep my hands steady. Relief washed over me when I saw the taxi still parked outside. I jumped in, breathless.

"Drive. Please, just drive," I urged the driver, my voice breaking. I had to go home, pack my things, and leave this nightmare behind. My parents needed to know the truth—everything I'd hidden to protect the illusion of a happy marriage.

At the mansion, I rushed to my room, throwing my belongings into a suitcase with trembling hands. Every creak of the house made my heart race, terrified that Liam would come back and trap me here. Just as I reached the stairs, Liam appeared, blocking my path, his expression cold and unyielding.

"I'm not donating my kidney," I said, voice shaking. "Let me go." He reached out, but I pulled away, backing down the stairs. I couldn't believe how much I had once trusted him. And now, standing in front of me, he was nothing but a monster.

"I'm doing this for you, Elsa," he said, his tone harsh. "Ria is—"

"Your fiancée?" I cut him off, my voice bitter with anger. "You married me just to save her?"

"We're engaged. The wedding would have happened soon if not for her illness. There were complications with her kidney transplant, and it's been hard to find a donor. That's why I had everyone at the office tested under the guise of a check-up." As he explained, my mind spun. I finally understood how long this had been planned. He didn't want me for me; he wanted my kidney. He had been using me to save his fiancée all along, playing with my feelings.

"I'll give you anything, Elsa—money, a car, a house, jewelry—just agree to the transplant. Ria really needs it." I couldn't believe his audacity. Was this really my husband, trying to bargain my body to save his fiancée?

"Sorry, I'm pregnant. I can't donate a kidney," I said, my voice shaky but determined. Anger boiled inside me, but I knew he was powerful. The pretend marriage was over, and his true colors were revealed. Afraid of what he might do to me, I didn't yell or fight him. I just wanted to escape this nightmare, to break free from this cage I was trapped in.

But his reaction was even more chilling. He looked at me with no emotion.

"We'll have an abortion." His words hit me like a bomb. I couldn't believe how coldly he spoke about ending his own child's life.

I was just a stranger to him, but this baby was his own flesh and blood. How could he so casually talk about killing his child just to save someone else? His fiancée mattered so much to him that he was willing to destroy his own family.

Hatred burned inside me, deeper than anything I'd ever felt.

"I'm not giving up my child, do you understand?" I shouted, finding strength I didn't know I had. I wouldn't fight for myself, but I would stand up for my child. A woman might feel weak, but a mother never is.

"This child is mine too, and I said you'll have an abortion. Now come with me to the hospital," he demanded, roughly pulling my wrist. My body shook, but I fought to break free.

"Have mercy, master. Please find another donor," A maid came forward and begged, tears in her eyes. Her words made me cry more. The man I married, the one I trusted, wasn't on my side. But this woman—who wasn't even family—was standing up for me.

Even the household staff knew I was just a donor, not a wife. Now I understood the strange looks I had received. Everyone knew I was just a pawn in Liam's plan to save Ria. He had ruined my life, betrayed my parents' trust, and mocked my feelings.

"You're coming with me, Elsa. This is final. Don't make me use force," he hissed, his face red with anger.

"I'm not going with you. Let go of me!" I struggled against his grip, but suddenly my hand slipped from his hold, and I lost my balance. Everything happened so fast; before I knew it, I was tumbling down the stairs. Darkness swallowed me as I hit the floor.
