I woke up slowly, turn of my alarm clock kept on the small round table beside me, and look around, something seems unusual, the room looks unfamiliar. I recall the events of the previous day. I came back from school at 2 pm, changed my clothes, ate my lunch and after that, I sat in front of the tv to watch my favorite show as usual but suddenly someone bangs on the door, I went through the hall and opened it and saw my father standing with a bunch of files in his left hand. No sooner had I opened the door, than he rushed in, took off his shoes, and went into his room. It's after half an hour before he came out and told me," Go pack all your stuff including your clothes, books, and anything else of importance", I ask him why, "just do as I say", he replied angrily. It was normal for him to shout at me as he was both short and ill-tempered, he had a habit of abusing and no one was there to stop him as we don't live with my grandparents and my mother had died a long time ago. Without wasting any more time asking where and why I hurriedly went to my room and packed everything I consider of any importance. After that, a taxi came to fetch us and dropped us at the railway station and .............'

I am at once brought to the present by quick multiple knocks on the door. I get out of my bed, stroll toward the door and open it and see a man with a plate in his hands. He has a small round face with a dark complexion, his eyes look droopy, and has a face not much older than that of my father. Behind him I see two other small girls, they both have a kind of oval face with big black eyes and small lips. Each of them is holding a bucket and a white cloth. "Good Morning!!! I brought you your breakfast", he says cheerfully. I just nod, unable to find any words. He enters the room and keeps the plate on the coffee table which is on the left of my bed, pours the green tea into the cup and hands it to me, he then draws the curtain open, after that he goes to the bathroom and checks whether the water is coming properly or not, which takes him two minutes as he taps the faucet 2,3 times before he is satisfied thenceforth he comes near me says, "Pardon me, sir, I forgot to tell you who I am, My name is Kiritan and from now on I will be your butler and would you mind telling me your name ?"

" My name is Advik. Nice to meet you!"

"Pleasure is all mine! if you need anything you can just dial 123 on the landline number and now, I shall leave"

  "Ok"

While I was busy talking to the butler, the other two little girls have already entered the room and were swiftly sweeping the floor, after that they mop the floor with the wet cloth, and left. I have just moved in last night; I was too tired then and had not the chance of looking into the room properly and had not discerned how big this room really was. The room is in a perfectly square shape, at the center there a big bed, at the right of the bed there is a study table and another door; probably the bathroom; at left there is a small rectangular coffee table along with a chair and also two big windows from which cool morning breeze and sunlight were flowing in, which gives the room a fresh vibe. I sit on the chair near the coffee table and start drinking the green tea while gazing at the beautiful town through the window, from my window I could see beautiful homes just as big as ours but in different designs, each home was almost, I guess, 300 meters away from each other, this gave the town a spacious look, I could also see yonder hills through the window.

Subsequently, I decided to take a bath, changed into a new set of cloth, and go for a walk in this new town.

My room is on the first floor and is connected to a long, straight corridor. Besides my room, there is only one other room on the first floor. The staircase is at the end of the corridor so, to reach it I have to walk past my father's room and by chance I just happen to get a sneak peek into his room, he is standing near the window looking out, his face looked troubled by something. He takes his phone and makes a call but no one picks it, he calls again but no one again picks it up then out of frustration he slams the phone on the floor and founds me staring at him, he starts coming close, ready to beat me but I at an instant, run down to the ground floor and escape through the entrance to the road in front of me, I could hear him shouting something but I don't mind it because it was not the first time, he would shout some abuses for sometimes and then cool down in an hour, so until then I could just look around this new town.

I look at my wristband, it's only 11 am in the morning but it seems like its 6 pm. The weather is not at all like the weather 2 hours ago, the sky is covered with dark clouds and the air is cold. It would have been better if I have brought my jacket along with me. The roads are very clean and there are also dustbins in regular intervals. I walk for some distance and still I couldn't see a single trace of life here, the whole place looks deserted, though the town looks luxurious but it seems it is very scarcely populated. The winds are blowing fast, I look at the sky, the clouds were now all over the town and it looked like, it is going to rain, I better find a shelter. I walk for some more distance and see a yonder shop, beside the road. I go near it, only to find that it was no shop but a raised cemented platform with three walls on the side and steel shed on the top, luckily there was also a vending machine, dustbin and a bench under it. I check my pocket and find some change; I exchange it for a can of coffee from the machine.

It starts raining heavily and seems like it will go on for some hours. I sit on the bench and drink my coffee while gazing at the rain. I was always fond of the rain and its aftereffects, my favorite part being when the wet scent of rain passes through the nostrils, that sensation was drugs to my nose. I also remember eating the wet sand in my childhood. Even back home whenever it started raining, I would go to the park along with a cup of coffee and sit on the bench under the shed, until my coffee was finished. The beautiful taste of coffee along with the scent of wet sand brought ecstasy to my soul. So, in short, I was living in my paradise now.
