Upon seeing the man's face next to her, Perry Sterling instantly sobered up.
With a nearly reflexive response, she sprung off from the bed, stark naked and completely exposed.
A mess of bridal clothes lay in the corner of the bed, and the aching soreness and burning sensation of her body signaled the madness of the previous night.
Perry Sterling remembered clearly, she had gotten her marriage license yesterday, got married, and tipsy, was escorted to the bridal chamber by her younger sister...
But, the man on the bed was not her husband!
Just then, with a click, a swarm of people flooded into the room, making the originally spacious room crowded.
Flashes from cameras flickered incessantly, while Perry Sterling hurriedly pulled up the blanket, frantically covering herself. She was blushing furiously, feeling as if something was exploding in her head.
A woman, dressed impeccably, stood at the forefront of the crowd. She was looking at Perry Sterling with apparent concern in her eyes, but hidden deep within, disdain was evident.
This was her sister, Perry Easton.
"Big sister, how could you do such a thing!"
Perry Easton put on a deeply hurt expression, while behind her, the journalists clicked away merrily capturing the moment.
Perry Sterling was in a whirlwind of emotions, her mind utterly blank, "No, I didn't!"
"Big sister, you said you truly love Raina Dawn, that's why the family agreed for you two to get married. But you did this shameful act!" Perry Easton pointed towards the man on the bed, "You didn't come back to the bridal room all night, and to think, you ended up bedding another man on your wedding day!"
"No, it's not true!"
Perry Sterling was at a loss for words, she stared helplessly, her eyes vacant.
It was clearly Perry Easton who brought her here...
"Quiet."
A faint syllable fell down, hammering on the ground and echoing in reply.
Everyone paused for a moment, then they all turned their heads in unison, looking at the owner of that voice.
From under the quilt emerged a furry head. The man propped himself up with his arms against the bed frame and sat up.
As they saw that face clearly, Perry Sterling could hear the sound of gasps around him.
How did that face look?
His eyebrows, sharp like drawn swords, were long and powerful. On his chiseled face were a pair of peach blossom eyes, the corners of which hooked up slightly.
His lips were thin, with the beautiful lip line outlining an attractive shape.
He had broad shoulders, the muscular lines on his arms were healthy and smooth, beneath his sturdy chest was the hint of abs hidden under the quilt.
However, the shocking part was not his astonishingly handsome appearance.
After all, in the expansive Southern City, who didn't know him?
The dragon that dominated the entire city, the man in charge of the Sylvia Corporation, Sylvia Precious!
Could he really be the man Perry Sterling cheated with?
Perry Easton stared in disbelief at the two people on the bed, not knowing what to do for the moment.
"Really noisy."
The faint utterance captured everyone's attention in the room. The man slowly lifted his eyelids, appearing both languid and regal.
"Leave."
"But!" Perry Easton wanted to argue further, but in the next moment, she froze.
She met the man's gaze, which was icy to the bone, instantly evaporating her courage.
Unable to speak her mind, Perry Easton gritted her teeth, reluctantly leading the reporters out of the room.
Only after hearing the door close, Perry Sterling let out a sigh of relief.
Quickly, she realized something, and when she turned her head, she happened to lock eyes with the man.
Their gazes intertwined, sparking as they collided.
"You!" Perry Sterling faltered.
The man averted his gaze, showing no response. His facial expression remained static throughout, without the slightest change.
Getting off the bed, his blanket fell, revealing a sexy body curve.
The perfect inverted triangle, even with his back to her, the lines on his spine could still make her blood boil.
Shaking her head slightly, Perry Sterling quickly composed herself and swiftly changed into fresh clothes.
Luckily, spare clothing was available in the room. Still, she had never imagined that she would wake up not in the bridal chamber she had anticipated.
She even ended up in bed with a strange man.
"Perry Sterling?"
Hearing someone call her name, Perry Sterling turned her head.
Sylvia Precious had already changed into his clothes - a simple white shirt and suit trousers, the top button of his shirt casually undone, revealing two deep collarbones.
She had to admit, this man was distressingly perfect.
"It seems the Perry family really doesn't mind how it goes about arranging these marriages," scorn was evident in Sylvia Precious's eyes, which hurt Perry Sterling deeply.
"I don't understand what you mean," she choked back her feelings, feigning calmness, "I am certain there is a misunderstanding between us."
"Misunderstanding?" Sylvia Precious scoffed, "Miss Perry, rather than staying properly in your own bridal chamber, you ended up in my bed, and you're telling me there is a misunderstanding?"
