In the Presidential Suite of the Ivy Hotel in California.
"Get out!" The man's cold, thin lips curled with a frosty glow in his eyes.
But Sophia ignored his command, her fingertip tracing his chest, slid down with a lethal allure onto his abdomen.
She curled her lips, her laughter as intoxicating as a poppy flower.
"Mr. Black, your words don't match your sentiment."
The man grabbed her restless hand, his breath significantly more rushed.
"Who sent you?" Xavier’s voice rang coldly, with a hint of restrained hoarseness.
What audacity!
As Sophia felt her hand being grabbed, she drew even closer to him.
She kept the most ambiguous distance, her demeanor as mysterious as an orchid, stirring every bit of the man’s emotion.
"I heard that your skills are extraordinary, and thus, here I am."
Xavier's entire body grew rigid, his complexion alternating between pallid and flushed.
He had met a lot of women, but none had ever dared to be as brazenly promiscuous as she was.
He force out two words: "get out!"
A hint of mockery danced in Sophia's eyes. She pushed Xavier onto his back without a second thought.
“At a time like this, and you are still in the mood to cast insults. Such rudeness!”
She taunted, her laughter icy, her demeanour exuding an unusual allure.
Yet, in the depths of Xavier's eyes, ferocious flames began to ignite.
From the battlefield to the business world, a path strewn with blood and death, never before has anyone dared to provoke, to plot against him!
Xavier swiftly pressed the woman under him, his thin lips nearing her ears, his hand clenching her throat.
“Either leave, or die.”
"Are you willing to kill me, Xavier?" Sophia laughed lightly, a fleeting icy resentment hidden deep in her eyes.
She tilted her head, kissing his cheek.
Xavier's body jerked up as if he had received an electric shock.
What was left of his rationality shattered.
"Xavier..."
A torrent of emotions crashed in his eyes.
What he hated most was being manipulated, and what upset him even more was that he had fallen for it!
Xavier suddenly stood up.
If he stayed any longer, he was uncertain of what he might do. Yet, before he could push away, Sophia seized the moment to kiss his right ear.
The tension stretching within Xavier snapped. His eyes instantly darkened.
He swiftly turned and forcefully pushed Sophia away, meeting her calculating gaze.
"I hope you won't regret this..."
