Living with my boss. Chapter 1

   'RING, RING'

I groaned as the alarm woke me up from my deep slumber. 'Oh God' I thought as I looked at the time. It was already 7:15 in the morning and I had to be at the office by eight. We were throwing a welcome party for our new boss and despite my efforts to stop my friends from doing it, they still insisted. I just couldn’t stop groaning on my pillow about it.

As I walked into my room after showering and contemplating on what to wear, my phone suddenly started to rang.

"Hello?" I asked, wondering who in the world would call me this early.

"Hey it’s me," I heard Nate say.

Ugh! "What's up?" I asked faking a smile like if he was in front of me or something.

I glanced at the mirror and saw signs of dark circles around my eyes. Don’t get me wrong, but I don’t like to wake up early, who doesn’t like to wake up early? I was up until two in the morning working on some last minute files, which explains my all down moods.

"Can I pick you up on my way to the office?" He asked.

As we entered the office I gasped in surprise. There were welcome banners all over and balloons- BALLOONS!?

What did we look like? Kids?

“How is it?" asked Julie out of nowhere. She is the office-party organizer, if you haven’t noticed.

I was staring at the balloons, in the point that I almost burnt a hole in all of them.

‘Where is the clown?’ I thought. Not wanting to be rude, I gave her a huge smile and told her it was great. If I expressed my real opinions everyone would think that I’m no fun girl, which I’m not.

Hey, this is business. Not a birthday party for a five year old.

It was already ten, and our new boss hadn't showed up yet.

  Way to make an impression!

I was getting really furious because he was late. Not ten minutes but an hour! Everyone had already gotten back to work much to their own dismay. When we heard the elevator ‘ding’ and the doors flew open in our floor, everyone turned around expectantly. I glanced around and some of the employees had huge grins plastered on their faces and I could swear I saw some of the women drooling over papers. I frowned and when my gaze turned to our ‘oh so new boss’, I understood right at that moment their faces
