Lena’s POV
“Fuck! Dam…. Damian” my lips quivered as I could barely feel my legs. Damian’s giant dick was halfway inside of me and boy, I didn’t want him to stop.
He grabbed my hair, yanking me back and forth just enough to ease the friction. “You like that mama?” He whispered.
“Shut the fuck up and go harder!” I said with sweat dripping down my face.
“Almost there!” I screamed out in satisfaction.
“How about now?” He asked, already tired. It was almost an hour and my body still craved his touch, his scent, his giant dick swelling inside of me.
“Ughh!” I bit my lips as I struggled to speak.
Just when I was getting to my peak, I heard something fall to the ground. Damian stopped and reached for it before I could see what it was. He picked it up and slipped it back onto his finger like nothing had happened. It was a ring.
I didn’t take my eyes off it. “Engaged, huh?” I chuckled.
He leaned in to kiss me, but I turned my face away. “You just got engaged to her, Damian.”
“I know, but none of it is real. I promise. You know what? I can’t even wait for all this to be over. The engagement, the wedding, everything.” He rubbed his forehead.
“How long?” I folded my arms.
“What?” He turned to me.
“I said, How—“ I watched his screen come on with a call and from the way he looked at his screen, I could tell he wasn’t ready to answer.
“I’m sorry, I have to take this.”
“Sure.” I rolled my eyes.
The call seemed unusually long. Damian never stayed on the phone for more than a minute. It was always business, his mother, or something urgent, but this time, I couldn’t read his expression.
“What?! Richard?”
I watched him quickly pull on his clothes, one hand still holding the phone.
“Alright. I’ll be with you shortly.” He ended the call.
“So… are you going to tell me what happened, or are you just going to leave like you always do?” I pushed my hair away from my face, waiting desperately for a different answer.
He reached for me and placed a kiss on my forehead.
“This might not be good news, Lena, but Adrian has just been found dead.”
“Dead?” I chuckled in disbelief. “What do you mean, dead?”
“Look, Lena.” He caressed my face. “I have to go.”
“Wait, but—”
“Please keep the door locked. No matter what you hear, stay in here. Alright?” He looked at me, waiting for an answer, but I was too overwhelmed to speak. I simply nodded.
First, his engagement. Then Richard. How much worse could my day possibly get?
And just like that, I was alone in this big room all by myself again. I wanted to leave, I really did, but Damian always had a reason for giving instructions, so I didn’t.
I reached for the robe scattered across the bed and quickly pulled it on. Next to the robe was my phone. I picked it up and started scrolling for possible information but I found nothing.
I hated that I cared about the littlest things. I couldn’t stand watching him shaken by just a phone call. I had to find out what could possibly be the reason.
Just before I could reach the door knob, I started to hear footsteps. Slow, almost quiet and steady. I leaned closer to the door and it was much louder than just a footstep now. I could hear faint voices.
They became clearer with every second. One of them was Damian’s. I pulled away for a second. He asked me not to leave, no matter what but the tension in his voice told me something was wrong.
I leaned in again, just enough to make out what they were saying.
“You shouldn’t have been here!” I heard a voice call out from the other side of the door.
Two people were obviously having a conversation, but I was only close enough to catch one part of it. Just as I pulled away from the door, a loud gunshot tore through the air.
BANG!
I stood completely still as everything went silent. For two minutes, no one moved, no voice came, nothing. I started pacing around the small space between the doorknob and the bedside.
I couldn’t tell who had been shot just by hearing the gunshot. I needed to know more. It couldn’t have been Damian. It just couldn’t. At least, I hoped it wasn’t him.
I took a deep breath, trying to silence all the thoughts racing through my head at once. I reached for the doorknob, but quickly pulled my hand away when I heard the quiet sound of approaching footsteps.
Just as the footsteps reached my door, they stopped.
My body froze completely.
That could be anyone outside. There was still a slight chance it was Damian.
I held my breath and waited but no voice came.
I stared at the door, barely blinking. Whoever was standing on the other side wasn’t making a sound.
Then I listened for the faintest movement. My grip was firm around the edge of my robe.
“Damian?” I called softly. No one answered. I mustered courage and took a step toward the door. “Damian, is that you?” Still nothing.
I reached for the doorknob again, but before my fingers could touch it, I heard footsteps moving away from the door.
“Wait!”
I reached for the doorknob again, this time forcing myself not to pull away. Damian had told me to stay inside, but how was I supposed to sit there after hearing a gunshot?
I slowly turned the knob and the door opened slightly. I looked through the small gap but the hallway was empty.
I opened it a little wider and stepped outside. My eyes immediately moved toward the direction of the voices I had heard earlier.
Then I noticed a dark red stain spread across the carpet a few feet away from my door.
I took one hesitant step forward, then another.
“Fuck!” I covered my mouth as I followed the trail with my eyes. It disappeared around the corner and beyond that corner, I could hear the faint sound of someone running.
