Many years have passed,but yet it still seem like a dream,my brain still can't fathom what happened that night.the curtain dance and a gush of wind hit me,that was when I realised the window is actually open,I made my step towards it in hope of closing it but I never got to reach there before I fell and my close into darkness,my brain unable to figure out anything and I slip unconscious. I woke up to the ray of sunlight , marble ceiling,tainted window and a large bed with a durable blanket everything in grey color, that's when I realized something "where am i?".The late thing I remember was me reaching out to close the window then falling down and losing concious so 'where am i?'. A lady walks in, in a white and red cloth which seems like a uniform, she drops the food on the table and walk toward the girl on the bed to tuck her blanket in well,then she realized she is awake. " Young madam,you are awake?"the little maif ask as if to confirm but she rush outside to call their young master leaving the little girl on the bed to completate what happen to herself. 'little madam?',when did she become little madam, yes she used to be a young miss but that ends the day her family was murdered, so why is she a young madam?.she put her thought aside when she hear the sound of the trouting foot steps. "Katherine dear, how are you feeling ?" A granny in a native attire come close and take her hand while speaking to her softly . Wait! she is Katherine ?, The last time she heard her name was Lily , so why is Katherine? "Please who are you?' the gentle lady on the bed ask and then she gaps. Wait this is not her voice, so what's happening "Sorry can someone get me a mirror?" She said again surprise at her own voice and way of speaking like a child Immediately she said that, one of the maid ran off to get the mirror before dashing almost immediately and gently handling it to the young madam. Katherine graps the mirror and check her face ,oh so this is it!, She is in another person's body but still have her own memory from the past "Katherine dear, did you really not remember us?" The granny ask again, the saddness clearly showing in her eyes but Lily couldn't easily trust anyone not after what she experience in her past life. Her eyes scan everyone in the room, gently landing on the guy who sat on the sofa like a king before moving away then nod her head and reply yes The granny in the native Ware burst out into tears before a man steps forward and hug her "Mother, it's okay, she will remember us soon" The man who look like he is in his early forties said Soon all of them offer their word of condolence and left leaving the man who sat on the sofa and has been quite alone,not long after he also stood up, look at her with his cold eyes for some seconds then leave. Since everyone has left only Lily is remaining in the room trying to register what happen, if it is a good or bad thing . She gently climbs out of the bed, standing straight, Lily wonder how someone could be this skinny and having an haggare skin....she wonder why the so called Katherine doesn't take care of herself.she can't thank God enough for giving her this second chance, she promise to avenge the death of her family which have always tumarize her.she could still remember that night, that rain and how the blood of her family wash the floor, she swore she would avenge but never got the ability, but now it seem she has because this family looks well off "Young madam, you are not supposed to be getting off bed now" the maid, whom she realized as the one who has been with her since she woke up said. "It's fine, am good now " she said tryingto get familiar with this new voice of hers so she won't be surprise Everytime she speaks
"Show me the way to the bathroom, and tell me this family surname" she added which surprise the maid " She can't even remember the family name nor the way to the bathroom, is her illness that bad?", But still she answers "Madam this family name is Cole and this is the way to the bathroom"she points to the door at the other side of the room Lily gently nod at her before her brain make a ding sound, 'wait ,the Cole family,as in the great COLE Family....the number one family in the city' she couldn't believe her fate, she is still in the city and even become the wife of the biggest man in the city ,Cole's wife. Ok now she understands, Katherine is Michael Cole's wife but has never appeared in the public or side by side with him apart from their wedding.It's obvious that their marriage is not a love marriage,but she wonders how a woman who control so many wealth wouldn't take care of her own body. She makes her way to the bathroom and the sight she sees surprise her, there is no single bodywash in the bathroom, she couldn't help but turn to the maid
"Why is this place so empty?" She ask "Young madam, you were the one who asked me to throw out the body wash and other products" the maid innocently cried out "but why?" "You said, no need to take care of your body, since no one is looking at you " the maid said while preparing water in the shower tube, she could still remember that day, she was so surprised that the young miss who cares for her skin more than anything suddenly ask her to throw out the body wash and skin care products. "I really can't believe there is a lady who don't care about her body" she mumbled quietly
"Get me a pen and a paper"she said and the maid immediately ran off to get it.she slip off her clothes. She will make do with only water right now..... seconds later the maid came back and Lily take the paper, writing the names of the body wash she used in the past that makes her skin flawless and a lil bit lively, then hand it over to the maid to get it for her.the maid again ran off surprised that her young madam is willing to use bodywash again. Lily went to the walk in closet marvelled at the cloth that are hange in there, she can say it that, she had never seen a closet has big as this even though she also came from a rich family in the past. She patiently graps a night rope which looks bigger than her , she guessed it's because Katherine her self is too skinny for the cloth to fit in her body perfectly. Few minutes later, the maid came back with the items her young madam listed and also announcing that food is ready and she can go downstairs to the family didning table "Can I eat separately?, In here?" Her response surprise the maid who wasn't expecting it and was caught off guard, she remembers her madam is always going downstairs to eat just so, she can caught a glimpse of the young master face but now what?, She think her young madam have been acting weirdly since she has woken up. " Are you sure?" She ask one more time but got a firm "yes" which leaves room for no argument. " Alright madam" The maid reply before going to the kitchen to get food for her young madam After eating Lily went to the product that was gotten for her and take a facial mask out of it before placing it on her face and retiring for the night, slipping into darknedd with a lot still running on her head. " No you can't do that, mother I won't leave without you " A girl in her early 19 cries out, even with her bug body she still feel helpless and can't do anything about th people in black killing her family , her sister was killed right in front of her and her father is no where to be found only she and her mother have been running in the darkness and yet her mother wants to leave her 'no she will not let go'. "Lily you have to listen to me and stay behind that tree , I am coming back okay?, Unless you want us both to die " she said before tugging her hand away from her child own
"No mother,No No" and like that she sees someone stabbing her mother in the chest, she wanted to scream but instead use a hand to cover her mouth with tears streaming down her face, right then she regret many things, she regret not knowing any self defense to protect her family, she regret not quickly building her own force who will be loyal and Beck at her calling, she regret taking her family for granted and not being obedient to her father, she regrets being a spoiled brat and many more .Tears fall from her eyes when she sees her mother smiling face for the last time, since then life has never being the same for her. Lily whimpers on the bed unable to open her eyes or move her body, she wants to wake up, she is tired of this toture and nightmare, she wants to wake up and finally she did. She sat up and see tears pouring form her eyes, the mask use use last night has been removed , she hurriedly clean her face and go to the bathroom. She took her bath, applying different product on her body before ordering the maid to bring her food upstairs and should do so from now on. She walk into the walk in closet looking for the right pair of cloth to wear , and thank God she sees a pant and top which seems to fit her perfectly. She then devour her breakfast before heading down the stairs she knows she will have to do this sonner or later, So she decided to go for it now. She decend the stairs like the lady of the house should do making the people in the large living room look up at her, why is so different today? .....she was always wearing a gown to big or too long for her and always walking sluggishly so why is she looking like a queen today?, Even though her face is a little Haggard , she still carry the elegance and aura the lady of the family is supposed to carry.
