CHAPTER ONE

“Jayden?...Jayden!”Alicia called but he never looked back as he stomped out of the graduation venue.

“What wrong?....did u piss him or something?”Abel asked as he watched Jayden stomping his feet in anger.

“I don’t know…I’ll just go after him….just wait here” Alicia said and gave Abel a quick kiss on the lips before running off to Jayden’s direction. She got to where he packed his car and saw he was about leaving but she was quick enough to stop him.

“Jayden wait!”Alicia called and ran to where he was standing….by now she was standing akimbo waiting for an explanation from Jayden but he just stood still with his left hand on the car handle and his face straight with no smile.

“What was that all about Jay”Alicia said and threw her hands up in the air in surrender. She waited for a reply but got none from Jayden.

“jayden, I just said something and I deserve a reply” she said biting on her lower lips

“I believe am talking to someone! What was that stunt u pulled up in front of my fiancee” Alicia snapped making Jayden madly stung and angry which made him flare up.

“To hell with your fiancee! To hell with him!...how could you!? I never knew u were this ungrateful! After everything I did for you Alicia! And this is what u paying me back with? Huh!?” Jayden flare up this time facing her as his eyes roamed all over her. He clenched his jaw as he saw hickey’s on every part of her neck.

“What are you talking about!?” Alicia asked a little bit calm and puzzled.

“so you trying to deny the fact that you don’t know I have deep feelings for you Alicia! Deep feelings!....after spending every dime on you you feel this is the right way to pay me!?...you trying a smart move on me right?!” Jayden fired at Alicia who did nothing but just stood there gazing at Jayden as he did the talkings. She cleared her throat in digestion and put her pinky finger into her ear.

“ Jay please calm down ….I don’t understand..I err”she said but he cut her short.

“Just enjoy this while it lasts…but be rest assured that you are mine Alicia….act all naïve I don’t care but I’m coming back for what is mine!”jayden said and made to enter into his car.

“All this just don’t seem right Jayden….what are you talking about for crying out loud! I’m going nuts right now what do you own what do you mean”Alicia asked with tears already clouded in her eyes. She seemed to be in a confused state right now as she watched another part of Jayden she has never seen.

“you are mine Alicia! You standing here is because of me Alicia so you are mine! And make sure you pass the information down to your so called fiancee enjoy your madness while it last! You will hear from me”jayden said before settling down in his car and zooming off. Alicia stood fixed at a point for some seconds before blinking making the tears fall freely. She pinched her laps hard to be sure she wasn’t in a dream but no! It was reality. Jayden has just said all these to her or is she mistaken?

“no!this can’t be Jay, this can’t be” she thought and brought out her phone to dial his contact. It went through but he was not picking up his calls. She dialed it again but this time it was switched off. She felt sweaty immediately as she tightened her grip on her phone.

“Hey” Abel called from behind. She was backing him so he could not see the tears .she immediately wiped it off with her palm and faced him just immediately with a faint smile.

“hey, u crying” Abel said as he moved closer to her.

“No I’m not….just being emotional about my graduation”Alicia said trying to put up the best expression ever.but her condition was taking the best part of her

“I know you too well Alicia. What did he say to you?” Abel asked as he reached out for her hands holding them firmly to his chest.

“nothing…just some little misunderstanding but he will come around….you have nothing to worry about” Alicia said but Abel was not buying it

“Come on Ally….I know something is wrong…how about I take u somewhere then, we can talk about it over a drink or something”Abel said raising his brows at Alicia who nodded faintly before resting her head on his chest.

“I love you okay?” Abel said soothing her silky hair.

“I love you too. Just promise not to leave even if anything get tense”Alicia said as she sniffed on his chest.

“Pinky promise”Abel said and tightened his grip around her.

“So that’s it!”Abel flared up immediately Alicia finished explaining what has transpired earlier between Jayden.

“Shhh….you don’t have to shout. I mean I need you more than ever right now” Alicia said breaking down in tears which made Abel calm a bit.

“I don’t get why he’s being greedy right now. You never asked for his help and he said none of these to you in the past. Why now!?”Abel said in frustration as he placed his hands under his chin.

“I don’t get ,I don’t get…I was thinking he was being generous at that time. But he never mentioned anything to me. He should have said things earlier .and now he’s just acting in rage”Alicia said and she wiped her already puffy eyes.

“It okay…it okay, we will get through this. We just have to talk to him or better still if he’s hell bent we might pay him back”Abel said and Alicia choked on words

“It hasn’t gotten to that…I’m sure he will come around we just have to talk to him first. Besides I owe him more than u can imagine”Alicia said and chugged down the whole coffee.

“I hope he comes around. We’ve come a long way Ally we deserve each other”Abel said and held until Alicia’shand before sighing deeply.

“The fault should be from me…I made a mistake of not telling him earlier enough about us…like m going crazy right now!.....today was supposed to be glamorous for me….I was thinking he would be happy! I was thinking you two would get along”Alicia said crying holding on to Abel.

“I understand you sweetheart, it’s not your fault. But I promise we will get through this okay?” Abel said and Drew her for a side hug while his hands run up and down her back.
