On a thunderous, rainy night, Williams Naomi had a Seminar section just three days ago.
Her small face as pale as a ghost, yet it could not cover the delicate and charming features underneath.
Weakly knocking at the door of her own villa, Naomi cried out:
"Dad, please listen to me, I am carrying David's child, he is my fiancé, how could he be considered a bastard?"
After a while, the door of the Williams family finally opened.
Seeing her father Williams Joseph, Williams Naomi reaches out, yearning for familial love.
But what she received was a merciless kick from her own father.
Falling onto the cold, wet ground, blood seeped from the wound left by the Seminar section, dyeing a patch of her clothes red.
Not only did Williams Joseph feel no pity, but he also tossed a stack of photos onto her face.
"You dare to argue, look at these unsightly photos. Our Williams family has a reputation in Canada.
Since you no longer care about face, I’ll sever our father-daughter relationship. From now on, you're no longer a part of the Williams family."
Williams Naomi covered the wound on her lower abdomen with one hand while picking up the photos with tremendous difficulty.
Looking at herself on the photos that were seductively undressed, she shook her head and cried:
"Where is Thompson David? Dad, get him here, I have really spent most of this past year at the Thompson family."
Naomi turned her begging eyes towards her half-sister from the same father, Williams Nora.
"Little sister, it was you who persuaded me to agree to Shao Yan's proposal initially, that we should get to know each other better before the wedding. If we were in love, we should be together.
Then I got pregnant, and you were the one who came laughing to tell me that Dad knew about it and was happy for me. He told me to take good care of myself at the Thompson residence."
Williams Nora, with her long chestnut curls draped over her shoulders, possesses a delicate beauty.
A beauty mark under her right eye only enhances her allure.
However, she appeared entirely at a loss in response to Naomi question.
"Big sister, what are you talking about? You disappeared for half a year. We thought something had happened to you. If I knew where you were, I would have asked you to come home a long time ago."
As Williams Nora said this, she knelt down in front of Naomi, crying loudly without minding the rainwater on the ground.
"Big sister, I beg you, please stop being angry with Dad. His health is not good, and he could get sick. If you admit you were wrong, I will plead for your forgiveness with Dad on your behalf."
Williams Joseph was pleased looking at his younger daughter, thinking Williams Nora was the most devoted one.
But how about Williams Naomi, who had been brought up with all comforts? For the first time, she realized the world could be such a frightening place.
Truth was not believed, while deceits were trusted.
Enraged, Naomi stepped forward and grabbed Williams Nora's wrist.
"Little sister, I don't think I've been unfair to you. It's clear that your mother was Dad's mistress, and you were an illegitimate child.
It was Dad's betrayal of my mom's feelings that led to your birth, but I've never looked down on you. Since you've come home, whatever you liked, I've given to you.
If you have any decency left, you wouldn't have schemed against me. Did you take these pictures? Williams Nora, I am your real sister!"
Williams Nora frantically shook her head in fear, her tears falling even more rapidly.
Unable to bear it any longer, Williams Joseph grabbed Naomi by the collar and dragged her out of the Williams family's gate.
"You unfilial girl, get out of my sight! Nora has been speaking up for you, yet you blamed all your mistakes on her. You are absolutely selfish."
Despair filled Naomi’s heart, as she was feeling absolutely helpless.
A black Ferrari stopped in front of the Williams’s residence. Despite being splashed with mud, hope reignited in her eyes.
All because she was extremely familiar with this car, it belonged to her fiance, Thompson David.
But when the always gentle and refined Thompson David, who would usually show her a fond smile, finally appeared...
The fiance who made her blush and her heart race, ignored her as if she was invisible.
He walked directly past her and helped Williams Nora up from the ground.
"You silly girl, there's no need to kneel and plead for someone who doesn't know how to respect herself."
Naomi looked at him in disbelief, her voice trembling as she asked:
"David, what are you saying... I am your fiancee. I will bear your child. Yet you are showing my sister sympathy... so what am I to you?”
Thompson David closed his eyes in pain, his voice filled with disappointment.
"Naomi, have you been fair to me? A month ago when I found you, you were already pregnant, yet you begged me to take you back to the Thompson family and accept your child.
I wanted to love you for a lifetime, but I am also a man. How can you expect me to willingly accept this? So stop causing a scene. Even if you keep lying, a mistake is still a mistake. You need to acknowledge it."
Williams Nora's mother, Agnes, also came out holding an umbrella.
She is the rightfully named Mrs. Williams now, the ever silent Agnes also chimed in:
"The marriage arrangement between our two families, who in Lagos City doesn't know?
So my pitiful Nora, in order to make up for your mistakes, is willing to gradually develop feelings with Young Master Yan, and replace you to marry into the Thompson family, covering up the scandal you created."
She clearly snatched away her fiance, Naomi couldn't help but want to ask this stepmother, where does she get the nerve to speak so righteously?
And Williams Nora even sighed, her face full of extreme grievance:
"Who can blame it, Naomi is my sister after all, it’s natural for me to do anything for her.
Young Master Yan, mom, you guys should accompany dad back to the room first, he can’t get angry anymore.
I need to stay here and continue to persuade my big sister, who knows she might have a change of heart and be willing to apologize!"
Williams Joseph was helped away, full of satisfaction. The Naomi who had fallen to the ground, however, let out a sorrowful laugh.
"I haven't done anything wrong, why does everyone keep forcing me to apologize."
Williams Nora's sheepskin boot jabbed Naomi's chin, forcing her to lift her head.
"Who said you haven’t made a mistake, your mistake, Williams Naomi, was that you shouldn’t have been born into the Williams family before me. My mom and dad are the true love.
Your mom just comes from a good family and is able to help dad in his career. Why do you think dad would marry a woman he doesn't love and have you?"
Once Williams Joseph was gone, Williams Nora immediately changed her face. Right now, she was arrogantly acting as if she could do whatever she wants.
"So all that is yours, should naturally be mine. I don't want your charity; what I want is to completely replace you, including father's love, a superior lifestyle, and your fiance."
Looking up at her sister who was once so loving and obedient, Naomi suddenly realized how silly she was.
"My dear sister, you won. But can you tell me, when did you and Thompson David start seeing each other? And where is the child I gave birth to?"
Williams Nora laughed, toying with her like a cat with a mouse, she said,
"Beg me, and I'll tell you."
She let her last bit of dignity go to find out the whereabouts of her child, she had no option but to humbly lower her gaze.
"Alright, I am… begging you to tell me."
A proud Williams Nora, satisfied to the core, said,
"From the moment I returned to the Williams family and met David for the first time, the very next day we were together. As for your child, he was born dead and has already been taken care of."
The little life that had been nurtured inside her for ten months was now gone.
Unable to bear the shock, Naomi completely collapsed.
"Why have you done this to me? If you wanted to be together, Thompson David and I could have simply divorced.
Why did you let me get pregnant, only to suffer the pain of losing my child? That was David's child too. Didn't he care at all?"
Williams Nora laughed again, her expression filled with mockery, she said,
"You are my sister, only by angering our father enough that he kicks you out of the house, could I rightfully take your man away.
"As for the father of the child, Shao Yan brother only has me in his heart. He doesn't even want to touch you a little bit.
I drugged you with sleeping pills, and the man who spent those nights with you was just a homeless man I arbitrarily picked up from the streets. If you want to find a husband, you should stroll around the streets more. Maybe one day you'll run into him."
After finishing her words, Williams Man Wu laughed in triumph and turned back to the Williams family.
Watching the main door of the Williams family closing again in front of her, Williams Naomi knew she had lost everything and no longer had a home.
She walked on in a daze until a strong car light shone on her. She faintly heard the harsh sound of a car horn.
However, her exhausted body could no longer hold her up. She collapsed on the ground and her consciousness fell into darkness."
