The ray of sunlight shone on her eyes and she sat up, she groaned and played with her hair continuously

The door to her room opened and she hugged her pillow tightly in fear thinking it was a monster coming for her.

"Good morning Lydia." Her mother greeted and she stared at her mother as she had never seen her before.

"Mother?" She asked pouting.

"Yes mother, let's get you ready for school."

Her mother smiled walking towards her and dragged her up carefully.

"School?"

"Yes the school you won their scholarship to two weeks ago, you are starting today, it's the best school in New Jersey."

"Lydia goes to school." She screamed happily and ran into the bathroom and her mother followed her.

Her mother managed to bathe her and get her dressed in her uniform, she gave her bag to her and pulled her out of the room.

Her mother sat her down on their only couch and brought out her food from the kitchen, she placed it in front of her and fed her.

"Lydia is okay." She giggled and stood up.

She clapped her hands and her mother laughed.

"Lydia goes to school." She yelled happily and her mother held her hands, they both walked out of their small house and her mother locked the door as she took the fifteen-year-old girl to high school.

Lydia Williams is a fifteen-year-old teenage girl with a mental issue, Lydia was born this way, and ever since she was born her parents has been trying to find a solution to her problem and along the way, her dad died leaving the poor mother and child alone to their world of mystery.

They finally got to the front of Tristan High, the best school in New Jersey and Lydia giggled happily.

"Okay baby I can't go in with you, this is how far I can go, be careful, and when you are done with school you meet me back at this point." Her mother said using her hands as directions and she nodded happily.

One thing about her is that with her mental issue she is academically brilliant, awkward right?

Let's just say Lydia was wonderfully made.

"Mummy is going?"

"Yes baby mummy has to go, I love you." Her mother pecked her forehead and she tried looking at her forehead, she touched it and touched her mother's lips back.

Her mother laughed wholeheartedly and watched her daughter wave at her and walk into the school, her mother muttered a little prayer about her daughter being safe during school hours until she gets back to her.

Lydia looked around the school as she walked in, she noticed lots of people were wearing the same uniform as her and that made her so confused because in her former school they wear different wears.

She suddenly bumped into a girl and the girl smiled at her.

"Hi." The girl greeted and Lydia kept starring at her.

"Hi," Lydia repeated after a while.

"You new here?" She asked and Lydia just nodded not knowing what she meant.

"Oh, you are looking for the principal's office?" She nodded again and the girl smiled.

She also smiled back still confused about everything.

"Let me take you there then."

The girl walked forward and Lydia followed her immediately, they got to the principal's office and the girl turned to Lydia.

"You can go in, should I wait for you?" She nodded and walked into the office, she licked her lips and looked around the office.

Her eyes landed on a middle-aged man and she waved at him, the man knew she had mental issues already due to the interview he had with her mother.

He smiled at her and waved back.

"Here is your timetable Lydia, you are in the last grade already."

"My name is Lydia." She giggled and the man shook his head sadly, how can someone this brilliant have a mental problem?. It's just so weird and amazing.

"You can go Lydia."

"Why should Lydia go?"

"You are through with me dear"

"Dear? My name is Lydia."

"Just go." The man said and used his hand as a description, she got the message and walked out of the office.

She saw the girl waiting for her and the girl smiled on seeing her.

"Can I see your timetable?" The girl asked and Lydia nodded, she collected the timetable from her and the girl smiled.

"We are in the same class, come on let's go." She smiled and pulled Lydia by her hand.

"So my name is Tracy, what's yours?"

"Name?"

"Yes, your name?"

"Lydia." She said happily and giggled.

The girl chuckled wondering why she is happy all of a sudden.

"So do you like this school?"

"Lydia goes to school." She giggled and clapped her hands together this time, the girl was starting to get freaked out but remained calm.

They got to the class and they walked in, she followed the girl to the back of the class and the girl sat down but Lydia remained standing.

"Sit"

"At home, we only have a couch so Lydia and mummy sit together."

"Okay?" The girl asked surprised by her behavior.

Is she okay?

Lydia finally sat down and the class was getting filled, the teacher walked in with the Principal and the students murmured.

"Guys we have a new student in our midst, Lydia Williams please come forward," The Principal said and the class clapped, Lydia also joined in the clapping wondering why they were all clapping.

"You are being called," Tracy said to her and she seemed to understand that, she stood up and walked to the front still clapping.

"Okay guys this is Lydia, you all should welcome her well and please be nice to her cause she is mentally unstable." The principal explained and Tracy gasped, which explains why she was acting all weird.

"This makes me love her more." She muttered and smirked.

"Go to your seat, Lydia."

"Am Lydia, my name is Lydia." She clapped and waved to the class, Tracy smiled and waved to her.

She continued waving since they weren't waving back at her.

"I think you guys should wave back." The teacher said and they all did, she giggled and walked to her seat happily.

She sat down and Tracy waved at her, she smiled and pulled Tracy's hair making Tracy groan in pain but she covered it up with a smile not to make her feel bad.

The principal walked out and the teacher started teaching.

"Who knows Newton's law of Universal Gravitation?" The teacher asked and all hands were down.

Lydia suddenly raised her hand and the class laughed including the teacher.

"Yes, Lydia?" The teacher called and stood up with a smile.

"It states that every particle of matter in the universes attracts every other particle with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the radius between their centers." She said happily and the teacher's eyes widen in shock.

Tracy clapped happily for her and she also clapped for herself.

"Wonderful Lydia." The teacher complimented.

"Am Lydia." She smiled and sat down.

The class had surprised looks on their faces, how can someone with a mental issue be brilliant?

Throughout the other classes, Lydia kept answering questions which impressed all the teachers that have been hearing she had a mental illness.

It was finally lunch break and Lydia stood up seeing the students were standing up.

She was about to follow them out when Tracy held her hand.

"Lydia wants to follow them."

"Yes we are all going for a lunch break, let's go." She nodded and Tracy helped her zip her bag.

As they walked to the cafeteria they bumped into a random student and the student called Lydia a bitch, Lydia thought it was a compliment and a nice word to say to people and she smiled happily and started dancing.

"Am a bitch" She yelled happily and danced around Tracy.
