Waking up I found myself in my undershorts on a luxurious bed that you can only find in a five-star hotel. Wine bottles on the floor, two wine glasses, and a pack of cigarettes on the table. I looked the other side and saw my clothes on a chair and a girl's bra. But no girl in my room to be seen.

I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom. Then as I came back to put on my clothes I heard a girl’s scream in the other room.

Then I sensed a different type of energy. I instantly knew if I didn’t get out of that room, they will kick my ass. I promptly took my clothes and I’m sure I might have left some, maybe my tie, then I jumped from the window. And landed on my two feet, luckily no one was there to see how high I have jumped. Or I’m sure they would have died with shock.

My eyes met with a bald man who was standing at the window I just jumped out of. I grinned at him in a mockery way. And since those bastards couldn’t walk in the sun, I took advantage but ran as fast just in case they had something up their sleeves.

I took a turn into the woods, God knows why I did that, then I stopped for a breath, and it was the perfect time to put on my clothes. I looked back and forth just to be safe. After a few heartbeats, I resumed my run.

After running for miles, I reached a tar road and ran to the right. I turned, saw a black sports car, and I instantly spotted the man I locked eyes with at the window. I increased my speed and took another turn then after a few miles I reached my house more of my parents but it will end up being mine either way.

I looked around just in case anyone was watching, then I jumped from the tar road and landed on the balcony of my bedroom. I quickly went inside and sat on my bed.

I peeled open the curtains after taking a few breaths. Then I saw the two men pass my house. I sighed and went back to my bed.

I had to applaud the people who decorated my room. It was the brightest in the house at some point my mother wanted to even get it for herself.

The doorknob turned, I hurriedly jumped to bed and wrapped myself in a blanket. I heard footsteps, then the curtains got opened, and I immediately knew who it was.

“Trevor, you will be late for work get up. When will you start to be responsible?” my mother scolded in her motherly tone.

I just groaned to make it believable that I was sleeping.

“Do you want me to pull water on you,” she said.

“I’m up. But can you leave I’m not wearing anything?” I lied, not wanting her to see my now filthy clothes.

“I don’t want to come here again, ok.”

I nodded in my blanket and she left, closing the door behind her softly.

I jumped out of bed and went to the bathroom. I grabbed my dirty closed and put them at the bottom of the washing basket so that my mother doesn’t find them and start hitting me with questions.

After a couple of minutes, I came out of the bathroom with a white towel wrapped around my waist. Before I could even start applying lotion on my body, my phone vibrated on the table. I picked it up. Caleb was calling.

“Man,” I said.

“You bastard, you left me in the bar. And someone took my wallet,” he oozed.

“Seriously, you got wasted last night man,” I laughed, “but I don’t even know what the hell happened as well man I just found myself in a hotel,” I said, taking my ear pods from the table.

“Damn. But I think you left with a certain girl I can’t put my mind to tress her though.”

“I think it was one of those girls we were dancing with. I didn’t even check my wallet to see if she took anything,” I took my wallet, opened it, and sighed in relief. “She took nothing my money is in my wallet, man.”

“Lucky,” he said.

“But we have serious problems, man.”

“What?” he asked.

“When I wake up in that hotel two men were looking for me. I run and they followed me luckily they didn’t see my house and I presume they are vampires,” I whispered just in case anyone was listening.

“Shit, I told you this would happen, you asshole. Look now what shit mess you have put me through,” Caleb scolded.

“Relax man. I will look for a way out.”

“You better. And did you tell your dad that we retrieved King Arthur’s skull from the vampires?”

“Are you crazy my father would never be in support of me going to the realm of shadows” I shouted but still kept my voice down.

“So what are we gonna do with it. And those bastards that are apparently looking for us?”

“I don’t know. But we will figure something out,” I said, putting on my Polo shirt and black trousers.

“Alright, then I will see you at work.”

Before I could even reply, the bastard hung up on me. I always hate that. Been caught off when I haven't finished talking. Whether I called or the other way round.

Both me and Caleb worked petty time as real estate agents at Oak tree real estate company, then later we go for our full-time job at my father’s and Caleb's father's company. We supervised the production of coffee and tea.

So in the afternoon we went to our real estate thing and made sure we made as many sales as possible. Then in the afternoon at my father’s company.

I don’t even know how we got to party after working the entire day. I guess youth blood never gets tired.

I finished dressing up and went downstairs.

“Mother, where is my breakfast? I will eat on my way, I’m late!” I shouted, in case she was outside.

“Why are you shouting? I was just in the kitchen.”

I turned around, and she was holding my blue lunch box. I went and took the box from her.

I swung around but before I could exit the house mother called.

“Trevor, aren’t you forgetting something.,” she grinned.

“Mother, I’m twenty-five now. Don’t you think I’m too old for that,” I said in the calmest way possible so I didn’t hate her feelings.
