“Alice! Come out here. Can you help me?"

Outside the gate, the voice of a lady in her sixties resonated. Two women's silhouettes, one old and one youthful, have just arrived.

Emma and Amelia entered the home together, joyfully chatting. Both of them encountered Alice coming out of the home as they exited the living room. She grinned warmly instead of greeting, then dashed over to take Amelia's basket. She eagerly inquired:

"What do you and Amelia buy in such large quantities?"

Emma raised her hand, motioned to Amelia, and said:

"Get her some outfits and materials. There are so many people here that I feel like I'm going to break my legs."

Amelia made an apologetic expression. She asked Emma:

“Are you really tired, Mom?”

Then, she turned to Alice and said: “

“I informed my mom that she could buy whatever she wanted. It’s okay. But mom simply wants to find something enjoyable to do. The types of items that my mom denounced as being bad for me are also fantastic. I never imagined that one day I'd be able to wear such gorgeous and luxury things."

Emma shook her head and smiled at Amelia:

“I think differently than you. If you don't purchase it, just don't buy it, but if you do, pick something decent. Although it is costly, it will be long-lasting and durable. It's preferable than getting something inexpensive and having it break after a few days. However, this is merely a minor consideration. But the most important thing is that I want my kid to seem as lovely and attractive as her pals."

"What the mistress said suited me very well," Alice abruptly interrupted. “Many sorts of things are being falsified by evil persons at the moment, so you must be very vigilant and chose wisely to prevent misunderstanding."

They walked and spoke amicably together. They proceeded directly to Amelia's private room. Mrs. Emma sat comfortably on the chair as soon as she entered the room and remarked to Alice, "You may assist Amelia in packing and organizing her wardrobe. Leave the fabric outside, I'll bring her to the sewing machine this afternoon."

Alice and Amelia carefully removed each item from the bag, unfolded it, and placed it in its rightful location. Emma seems to have purchased Amelia nothing but the best. Her cosmetics, a bottle of gold perfume, pajamas, some ready-to-wear westerns, shoes, and a plethora of bright materials. Each piece, from the color to the design, expresses Emma's love and concern for Amelia.

Alice and Amelia sorted and discussed the colors and designs of the goods. When Alice wanted to try on the garments, she would heap loads of fabric on Amelia and say that Amelia was more lovely and attractive than these items on her body. Amelia became more bashful and ashamed as a result of Alice's praises.

Amelia appeared to be overcome with delight. She kept looking at the heaps of garments, the outfits Emma had picked for her, with excitement. And every now and again, she turns to Emma and grins, filled with passion and thanks.

Amelia was startled to see Sophia standing outside the room's door, peering in. Sophia may have been standing there for a long time without anybody noticing.

"Sophia, mom just got me some gorgeous materials and garments, come in and see with me," Amelia remarked excitedly.

Sophia walked into the room. "Thank you!" she replied coldly to Amelia as she leaned back against the wall and stared quickly at the mounds of material left on the floor. “Please feel free to have fun, and let's pretend I'm not here."

Amelia's beautiful lips twitched with a grin. She was so taken aback that she didn't know what to say, so she glanced at Sophia and then to Emma for assistance.

And Emma looked at Sophia with a grimace. "Can you hear me when you say that, Sophia?”, she felt upset, but her voice was still subdued. “Sisters in the house must share their pleasures and sorrows. That is the only way to be in a relationship. Don't you recall what I said to you the other day?"

Sophia said casually: " "I still remember, but when I think about it, I didn't say anything wrong that you punished me for. I just advised Amelia to relax as if there were no children in the home. This holds true for me, and I believe it will be true in the future."

"You're guessing in a strange way, Sophia!" Mrs. Emma exclaimed, her face concerned.

"I don't hypothesize," Sophia said, shaking her head, "but the circumstances that have transpired and are unfolding have led me to that conclusion."

Emma couldn't take it anymore. "I had explained everything to you in detail, but you still rejected my advice," she said angrily at Sophia. “So, what do you want now? Just say it aloud."

"Now, in this house, you are no longer qualified to speak the word "desire," Sophia said angrily, casting a brief glance at Amelia.

When Alice noticed that the dialogue between Emma and Sophia was already uncomfortable, she rose up quickly and said to Emma, "I have finished arranging the stuff. Please let me go downstairs to do something else!"

Emma gave a small nod, and Alice dashed to the door and out the door. "I can't see what you said previously, Sophia!" Emma started again in the room. “No one in this home has taken that right away from you, not even me, but you have surrendered it yourself."

"You claimed no one took it away," Sophia insisted, "but it was what you did this morning that verified it."

Emma smiled faintly:

"How about this morning?" Emma said, a tiny grin on her lips. “Do you believe I don't have the authority to do so? What harm has it done to your interests to purchase trinkets for your sister that you should be envious of?"

Mrs. Emma abruptly pointed to the closet, the door still open, and stated severely to Sophia, "Here, baby, take a careful look at the items I just got and then try to compare them with the ones you've bought what you had. You will notice right once that they're insignificant. But you're still resentful and jealous of your sister?"

Sophia shook her head violently, her voice resentful:"There's nothing to be envious of here. But now I see you're going to look after strangers one after the other. The children in the family are ignored and uncared for by you."

Emma sprang to her feet when she heard Sophia mention that. "I understand what you're thinking, and I know what you want me to do," she said loudly as she stepped out into the middle of the room. But, Sophia, what a selfish person you are to live like that! Because I can only be happy and happy alone, without feeling sorry for the people who are suffering around me. Especially if those individuals have a close relationship with you."

Emma abruptly ceased speaking. She took a look at Sophia's angry expression and said: "And what you want me to do, Sophia, is so brutal and wrong! I assured you that you could do whatever you wanted only after I died. But no one in this home, not even you, will be able to do that for the rest of my life. Sophia, did you hear what I said?"

Amelia sat glumly on the floor. She overheard her mother and sister discussing how Sophia was envious of her new things. Amelia hurriedly gathered the bundles of material lying on the floor, came over to Sophia, and quietly murmured, " "Take these clothes, Sophia. The color of the fabric does not fit me, but it must be quite lovely for her, and I wear the ready-made garments that my mother bought a lot. Sophia, you have it."

Sophia shifted her gaze to Amelia. She raised her hand, took the cloth packages Amelia had brought, flung them on the floor, and stated coldly, " "These are unnecessary. Keep it and put it to good use."

Sophia turned and walked away after saying that. Amelia stood motionless, her face blanched. When Emma saw this, she yelled loudly, "Sophia! Sophia!"

Sophia rushed directly to her room, ignoring Emma's words from behind as if she hadn't heard anything.
