"Dear flowers, I'm late. Have you missed me after a day apart?"

It was early morning. The only ones on the playground of Wyndale City's Third Middle School were the members of the track and field team who came for special training.

A boy in a black-and-white striped sports uniform carried a water can arrived at the flower bed next to the playground.

To put it bluntly, at this moment when the sun was still drowsy, it was hard not to notice this youngster with a silvery white hedgehog hairstyle.

Yet, none of the athletes passing him wished to spare him a glance.

In Third Middle School, no one didn't know about this natural white-haired jerk -- Caspian Vale.

"Dear new rose, are you getting used to living here? The big tree uncle next to you is not bad, if you're too bored you can chat with him, he can tell you a lot of stories about here, you should know he's the eldest one here." With his small eyes squinted till they were almost shut, Caspian kneeled in front of the flower bed, watering it meticulously.

Under the rain screen, the bright red rose, as if it really understood this teenager's word, got its petals more spirited with water droplets on them.

"Caspian... Vale... Good morning," suddenly, an awkward greeting came from behind the boy watering flowers.

Caspian was startled, he recognized this voice, because in his 3rd grade class 2, only the class president also the class beauty and school beauty, Giselle Sterling, would call him like this. And it was also only when collecting homework every day that Giselle would have a conversation with him.

"It's not time to collect homework yet, right?” Caspian turned around looking puzzled and looked up at the goddess that one third of the boys in the school dreamt of at night.

Giselle is very beautiful, without any cosmetics, her face is still as white as freshly picked lilies, her big innocent eyes wouldn't make anyone believe she is a bad person even if she held a bloody weapon in her hands.

Her shoulder-length black hair hangs obediently beside her ears, highlighting her slender neck as white as her face.

At the age of seventeen or eighteen, she already has a height of 1.65 meters and a body size of 34D, no wonder she often appears in boys' fantasies.

"I ... often see you so early, but we've never greeted each other. Since we are classmates, it's okay to say hello, right?" Giselle naturally said, her innocent big eyes wandering off elsewhere.

"Indeed. I only show up this early when there are new plants at the school, but you're here almost every morning. Sorry, I should say any morning that the school's track team is training, you're here.

Oddly enough, you're not on the track team, are you?" With an annoying smile, Caspian stood up.

At only 8 centimeters taller than Giselle, his 173cm height didn't give him much to show off about in this school.

"Don't tease me...you should know about my relationship with Zane Cole," Giselle shyly lowered her head, blushing on her fair face.

But the Zane she mentioned is currently at the playground behind her, taking long strides while his handsome face, unlike Caspian, is covered in sweat.

"Why should I know about your relationship?" Caspian scratched his head, making Giselle blush even harder. "Please, there's no need to show off your love story!"

"It's not like you think! I came to you just because I heard..." Giselle quickly explained, "Heard you can tell fortunes, and with surprising accuracy. So I wanted you to tell our fortunes...are we meant for each other?"

Caspian said nothing, his eyes focused on Zane, who was in the distance sprinting towards the finish line with his arms outspread.

"Do you need a crystal ball, or something else?" Seeing Caspian remain silent, Giselle nervously asked.

"That won't be necessary. I already know," Caspian said with a sigh as he picked up his emptied water bottle. "You'll be consumed entirely, not even bones will remain."

Giselle was startled and disbelief filled her dazed eyes.

"Zane's heart is like a wolf in sheep's clothing, acting gentle and harmless in front of others. But once the wolf's skin is revealed, he is just a beast. I recommend you to keep your distance from him, for you cannot handle such a manipulative character." After saying this, Caspian turned around and started walking back to the school building.
